Kara - what days is she there? Are our trips the same time? If so, I guess our trip could be like "where's Waldo" with her! :rotfl2:

I've got a playdate today. The wind chill is down to 0, so can I tell you how NOT excited I am to go. :sad2:

Mia has been crabby today - last tooth breaking through, thank goodness!

Thanks for the CS help - if you can think of others, let me know. Not big on fish/chips so I think I'll skip that one, but the other places sound great. Carlos will be so excited about Tangierine.

I tell you what, I'm going to let the park hopper stay on until I nail down the dining. What I'm wondering is if we'll end up like you Kara, happy to wander Epcot in the evening due to the dining choices.

Next, I need to find where I bookmarked that drink passport for the beers & mixed drinks! :thumbsup2

I saw on the Disney website, they have birthday Mickey Ears. I might just see about having those waiting on little man - I think general ears were $15 with some snacks when I checked last year. I want to get little bit the princess ones.

OH- and one more thing - Nicolas is a WILD sleeper. Kicks, squirms, etc. You want no sleep, you sleep with him. I was thinking about putting Mia in a play yard. Then I read that was extra (funny, I thought it was free) but I was thinking of getting one of those princess pump up beds like this...

what do you think?

Kara.... how did we get the bug at the same time! Scary!
Laura..glad Beth's ear is OK.
Lorrie...how great your plans look! How fun to be figuring it all out! You are just staying where I don't have much info to help ya out. As for your ADRs they look great! I know I am completely missing the boat here but do you do a dining plan with all those ADRs or do you pay on your own?
Erin..great pix! Thanks for sharing...
Hi to the rest of my peeps as well...
I am beat!

We do have the DDP booked too. Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well! :flower3: Hope you get to feeling better soon!

You too Debbie? I wasn't sure if it was stomach flu or too much partying at the Super Bowl? :rotfl2: But I knew that 3 glasses of wine wouldn't have that effect on me. And so sick all day yesterday, a little better today.

Lorrie - ok, here's BSIL's ADRS: Mon 12pm, Crystal Palace; Tues 9am, Hollywood & Vine; Wed, 5pm, Le Cellier; Thurs 5pm, Garden Grill.

We've got preferred room as ASM - that was all that was available. Again, we will just sleep there so I'm not too worried about it. We'll walk to the bus in the morning, and to the room in the evening. That's it.

Jillian - where are you gonna be that Saturday? I'm thinking we'll do HS in the am, eat at Sci Fi, hit RnR, ToT, and TSM and then bail for Epcot probably. And then maybe MK or AK on Sunday. Depends on whether Jeff is with us.

Glad to see you have the DDP since you have all those great ADRs. I have never paid for the playpen bed and I have gotten them in all the different resorts there. Is this a new charge?

Kara...funny when I started to feel sick I thought about my FB status saying all the crap I was eating and thought that was it too! In the middle of the night I knew it was more than that! I threw up vile all night into the next day! I know...sorry for the TIA! I did lose 5lbs though! LOL Free colonic too!
So Sorry.....

Debbie and Kara feel better it was an awful flu I felt out of sorts for 3 days. the V and D stopped after day 1 but I just couldn't recover.

Lorrie- Things will be fine they all work themselves out. I use TGM for park days which is best for what day. It has worked for me EVERY time. When I go against it I always get shocked how crowded it is.

Kara- Saturday will be at AK in the day and EPCOT at night. I think we are going to head there after dinner at Ohana our dinner is at 5:15 so I am thinking we will monorail over and be there about 7? Sunday is our Free Day Mike has to bring SIL back to the airport so I am free all day. We were going to head to the outlets, but I will be more than happy ro meet up with you and Ally for a little meet. Also Friday Night we are going to be at Epcot for EMH. I will be free that night too!:goodvibes

We are counting down here. We are all so excited Tabitha is going crazy she says she can't stand it anymore. I am doing the summer shorts shopping thing this weekend. Tshirts arrive today so I will wash those and work on them tomorrow.

26 Days!!!!

Jillian..it is so exciting! It will be here before you know it!

Kara - I printed it out... just to make sure.

So now I'm doubting that DDP. Man that is a lot more "sit down" type meals than we'd normally do. 7. So I'm wondering if it is worthwile or not. I think the quick service plan is a lot of food too.

Our AAA rep went on and on about what a good deal it was. And I totally agree if you are doing things other than character dining and you generally do apps and desserts. We don't. :confused3

On a more somber note, my cousin who is 16 works in a small town fast food place. The owner knew the inspector was coming in so had him standing on top of the counter cleaning the vent hood above the fryer.

(this is going to turn your stomach, so if you are squimish about this stuff, don't read)

He loses his balance and goes feet first into the fryer. Luckily he was wearing tennis shoes. If he had been wearing his crocs, which he often does, the drs. said he would have lost all his toes. They have him at the burn unit here. Friday they will be grafting skin from his hip to his feet. The burns went all the way up a good bit past his ankles.

You know, not that I'd wish this sort of thing to happen to anyone, but he is such a good kid. Plays sports, goes to church - won't date a girl who doesn't, helps clean up in the kitchen after meals. It just really REALLY stinks. So if you could all keep him in your prayers I'd appreciate it. He is doing well - very drugged as you can imagine. Physical therapy should start friday after next - and he should be going home after a month.

oh lorrie!! I will most defintely put him in my prayers. Life is so cruel.

On a positive note. The DDP does seem like a lot of sit down time but I found it helpful. It gave us a reason to stop and rest. We did the deluxe and would do it again in a heartbeat. The kids are pretty good when you go out, right? You will be fine.

Lorrie - that is awful about your cousin! I will definitely say a prayer for him!

Also, my mom is having double knee replacement tomorrow and Jeff's mom is having her bladder tacked up tomorrow. Guess it's grandmother's surgery days! So if y'all can think of them, too, that would be great!

OK, off to bed now. Still not feeling so great.

Hi to the rest of my peeps as well...
I am beat!

I was just thinking about last fall when we all had the "crud" at the same time. PLEASE don't pass this one around. :crazy2: I'm glad you are both doing better.

Kara - I printed it out... just to make sure.

Oh, Lorrie, I'm so sorry for your cousin. I am definately praying for him. Sorry I didn't see the post earlier when I flew by. The worst things happen to kids who work in restaurants. A guy did that when I was working too - had a fryer vat sitting on the floor while he cleaned the space it went in - then he lost his balance and stepped right in it.

Lorrie - So sorry about your cousin. He'll be in my prayers also.

Tammie - Thanks for that link to the new tshirt shop. Guess someone at WDW has been reading the DIS creative boards and decided to jump on a good idea. I'm curious to see what they are charging.

Not making any tshirts for our trip coming up. I figure we already have so many matching Disney shirts - we'll just wear those. And I guess Lauren will have her birthday button that she will wear everyday -- that should be enough.

I'll be calling to add the DDP by the end of the week. This is our first time doing it; think it really makes sense for this trip, considering my daughter has picked some fine dining choices: LeCellier, Yachtsman, Tutto's. I'm also still thinking about ordering a special birthday cake to have at one of the restaurants. I know it's a nice idea but since it's only the two of us, it might be a waste. But then again - this is probably the only time we'll be celebrating her birthday at Disney.

Ok - off to the gym. I'm staying away from this thread though - don't want to catch anything from the rest of you "sickies". I've got a trip coming up in 11 DAYS!!!!!:cool1:

Cammie - when we were at Mama Melrose last year, the family sitting next to us had ordered a bday cake and were leaving the next day so they didn't want to take it with them. They gave it to us! And it was yummy! And if you schedule it at an Epcot restaurant, or Yachtsman, you could run it back to your room. OR, give it to the nice hungry family sitting next to you!

Feeling MUCH better today - so much so that I HAVE to go to the gym tonight when Jeff gets home. I've been so bad lately. My problem is that I lose weight with stomach virus, then for the next two days I eat EVERYTHING!!!! So I end up gaining weight.

Cammie, we have been trying to schedule a day trip to Disney, so I'm really thinking about that Sunday you get in. I'll let you know as it gets closer. It will probably depend on whether or not Jeff is joining us in March, and the weather. It's been cold lately! HIgh of only 46 today and low in the teens tonight! But it usually starts warming up by mid-Feb, or so I've been told - only been here a year so I can't speak from experience. But I know last year I was at the pool in early March, so hopefully.....

:goodvibes

Cammie - they gave me the number to order a cake for Nicolas for CM that night. They also told me they have small, non-personalized cakes about the size of a salad plate available. I'm THINKING it was $12, but don't hold me to that. I'm going to check on the specialized ones, but if they are an arm & a leg, then I may smuggle in my own little frosting in a tube and just write HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICOLAS on it myself ;)

Your trip is coming up so quick! I am sure you guys will have a great time!

Kara - I need your how to make a shirt tutorial. I'm going to make Nicolas an "It's my birthday" one so he can get some special attention that day. He REALLY wants to get picked for the Jedi thing at HS, so that just might help! I'm thinking of the Birthday Mickey ears too!

Tammie - I never could have imagined that accident happening - much less to two people. I tell you, I seriously think I might encourage my kids to find work elseware.

Everyone - :grouphug: Thanks for the prayers. They moved the grafting up - it will be mid-morning today. Yesterday was really tough for him. They had him very drugged up. I haven't been to see him, but sent him lots of specialty car/sports magazines. It is my DSF's nephew, but I remember when he was born just like yesterday. :sad2: They say he isn't complaining - but you know that has to be painful.

Jillian - how is the toe there lady? Quit cleaning and keep it elevated and stay off it as much as possible so it can heal. I'm sure the dr. told you that already though!

Kara - I told Carlos we were meeting you at Boma. I got this :rolleyes2 until he figured out that Jeff was the "car guy" and that in Carlos speak means he's an okay dude s:rotfl: So funny, if he can relate on some level, then it is okay. If not, he'd gripe and moan. I'm thinking we will check in, take things easy and head over to the lodge early - let the kids see the animals from the observation deck and then go down for our ressie. I'm sorta wanting to get an early night in since we have to be at Epcot at 8:05 the next day for our princess: Breakfast.

You will love being in Epcit before everyone else. Those are some of my favorite pictures. Make sure to add some time to enjoy the view. :)

my silly ipod doesn't seem to leave my side. I have it with me where ever at home. Does this mean I am addicited to the DIS? :) LOL!!

Well, I booked our tickets for the plane. I feel sorta silly complaining to some of you that it was high - 850 for all four - but that is with no specials too. SW is the only one with a direct flight. One of the flights had already went up by $13. Tomorrow I'm sure I'll have an awesome DING! :sad2: On a good note, I'm allowed 8 bags! :rotfl2:

Laura - you're not addicted - not at all. :rotfl2: Well, not any more than the rest of us! :rotfl2:
