into a skating rink! :headache: I'm out there 3-4 times a day breaking up the ice; throwing down salt does nothing to stop the new dripping from icing over!:faint:

25 days until WDW; 25 days until WDW; 25 days until WDW...............:beach:

Oh Cammie - my goodness what a job! I know I must sound like a brat. It is 18 here this morning when I went out and I thought I'd die. Two days of snow floating in the air - zero on the ground. We never have a snow last generally the day that it falls. 24 hours tops, so I can't relate, but that looks like so much work! And then to have a sloped slab of ice to deal with daily! :crazy2: I wish I could bottle warmth and send it to you! :beach:

I'm still feeling yucky. My SF took Nicolas this am. Thought I'd nap with Mia. I lay down (even elevated) and my head clogs up. I'm freezing too. I hate being so sick you don't want to do anything.

I called my dad today. My SM said he hasn't went to the bathroom in 24 hours although he is drinking. I'm worrying about his kidneys failing at this point. He fell in the tub yesterday and threw up all over himself and has been having problems since. I sware. If that were Carlos, he would have been sent directly to the hospital. If I butt into the medical things, I get cut off from the info, so It is hard to sit around and bite my tounge. I'm going to check with her in a few hours and see if things have gotten better. If not, I'm going to try to gently suggest she should have it seen about today. :sad2:

Okay, off to try round two of laying down. I'm miserable. I thought getting up would make my head feel better, but now I just feel yucky & cold.

oh renee-- he needs to be seen right away. I know it isn't fun butting in so my prayers are with them that they make the right decision.

Good news is that when it is warm here it will get warm there :)

Renee - I agree with Laura; butt in - he needs to be seen! I would also ask if he's getting puffy - that is definitely not good. I'll keep him in my prayers and hope all is ok.

Renee- You can call their local police dept and ask them to do a "Well Being" Check if they do not want to go. It is a service each town provides and they could gently urge them to go. I know it sounds harsh, but he can become septic if he is not putting out Urine and that just adds a whole bunch of issues. If they call for an ambulance the Paramedics can give him some IV fluids to help push things along. Give her a call and tell her that you are worried.
I am the queen of sinuses I have to go in for a second surgery sometime this year. I just bought a sinus flush called the NetiPot they also have a bottle that flushes them out works SUPER!!! I also use Musinex nose spray the MAX one it allows me to sleep. Hope that helps.

Cammie- I am taping Lost for Mike he is a HUGE fan. My mom bought him some of those LOST theroy books. Such a Dork :p

Kara- sounds like your diet is going well. I haven't been to the gym yet I am going tomorrow AM I am going to take a step class and then use the tredmill. I am so sick of being overweight

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes about Dad. I called 2 hours later and she said he "went" 40 minutes after my call. He has seemed okay since. Perhaps he got dehydrated - but I suggested they have it looked at. It is just so frustrating. But thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions. It is a tough situation. Once I told the dr some things he said (which involved some accusations regarding her care or him & my uncle was present when Dad told me, so I KNOW I'm not making it up) and the dr very unprofessionally confronted her rather than running tests. It was a mess. For 2 years the only way I found out if he was ill was that if I called and got no answer, I started calling hospitals. I've tried to convince him when he was in better health to move in with us and let us handle things - but no... doesn't want to be alone, so I know he wants it this way, and I have to respect it, but it is hard. He lives in a small southern town. Ever seen Sweet Home Alabama? You get the idea. Hopefully this will blow over, but when you are to the depends/walker stage, you just expect that there will be more to come.

Okay, 2 questions... I use the Netipot, but I have that salt/baking soda/water recipe. Do you think the premixed packs work better. Never used those yet, but was seriously wishing I had them today.

Also, if you are taking MusinexD twice a day (4 pills total) can you mix that with the spray. For some reason I thought you couldn't. I am feeling a smidge better tonight. Don't want to jinks myself. Last night was lots of fun.

OH, and for your laugh of the day. What makes me blush these days? How about a little bitty girl - barely 20 lbs, so she looks like she is close to just turning 1, mumbling off "F*** you when she gets mad. :faint: I mean she has the context and everything down. She just belted it out at my mom twice today. :faint: I know a certain banker who is going to get in trouble when he gets home.

Renee- I use the premixed packets. I like the squeeze bottle better than the netipot. I use Tylenol sinus and the Musinex spray I think it works better than the pills. This was a suggestion from my doc who also has major sinus issues and it works.

OUCH!!!

Jillian, Well ~ my grouping isn't working the best, so I'm open to trying something new. I was told the psudafedrine products worked better than the new OTC ones (although I think I prefer the OTC ones) but my bp has been highish 140/85-90 last few checkups because I'm so sensative to psudeofedrine, so I'm seriously considering switching up a bit. I've been referred to a really good program at our teaching hospital - hopefully they can figure it out. The stump factor for me is the CAT scan came back clean - now, I guess that should bother me, but I worry about Cancer like you wouldn't believe so I was like "Whew... okay, whatever!" :rotfl2: Nothing showing up is just fine by me.

PS. so funny you call Badookie Monkey. I just noticed that. Nicolas is Monkey - named by his GrandDad - and Mia is Monkeyette. So cute. :)

Renee- My CT scan was clean too, but after my 7th sinus infection the ENT decided to go in and take a look and I was a mess. I had Nasal Polyps and on a mm opening in my right sinus cavity the CT missed it all. Talk to your doctor It really helped me.

My youngest - aged 6 now is Little-Miss-Cheeky-Monkey!!!! The continuing references have led to her having a BIG thing about monkeys - we have every soft toy monkey ever made, jungle-in-my-pocket, notebooks, underwear etc etc!!! Now we are "adopting" one at the monkey sanctuary so she can get a real live photo and update..... So be careful what nicknames you give them!!

Love love love the netipot!!! I bought this when we were at my P's for Christmas. My allergies were horrible - nonstop sneezing stuffy head, etc. I used this one time, and then about every 4 hrs after that and haven't had any more problems! I also bought the Zycam for allergies (I think they also have the swabs for sinus issues) and that helped too. If I'm not mistaken, I think you can use the packets in the netipot with any other medication, because there's no drugs in there, it's all natural. And then the dr finally put me on Flonase and ever since starting that I haven't had an allergy attach at all!

I can't help but laugh! My neice did this too and my sister's response was, "at least you used it correctly in a sentence!" :rotfl2: Ally hasn't spouted off that one, but when she was 3 or 4, she was driving somewhere with Jeff's p's and she saw a bright orange car and said, "What the hell?" Yeah, that came from me.....

Cheeky monkey - I just remember Mike Myers character "Simon" on Saturday Night Live!!! :rotfl2:

Renee - glad your dad is doing better. After seeing my p's at Christmas, it had been a year since I'd seen them, I seriously noticed them aging. I hate it! My mom is having double knee replacement early in Feb, and the only thing I worry about is the surgery itself. I'm not ready to deal with my parents getting older!!!!

It is so freakin cold here!!! 4 nights in a row with a hard freeze - I have lost a lot of my landscaping in the backyard because we're too lazy and stupid to cover the stuff up at night! Oh, well, Home Depot will be glad cause we'll give them our money again in the spring! :rotfl:

UGH - staying up until 11pm to watch LOST is going to kill me! Lauren and I are pretty tired this morning!
