Tammie- it is a tradition in our house to (RNYE) but it has gone WAY down hill. So we watched Elf and played monopoly a much better night. Luca was tucked in bed at 7:30 he didn't nap all day so he was beat. I think Cammie leaves next then it is us :cool1: I am going to order my t shirts today so I can get them done and ready also I am going to start working on the Autograph books. I am thinking about changing around a few ADR's.

Laura- Relaxing day here too. I am not going to do much except clean a bit and that is about it. I will do more tomorrow tree down and upstairs etc....

Cammie- Love the mug I was thinking about you and the girls yesterday when I was at target they had a TON of jonas brothers ornaments mug picture frames on sale. Also I took the TV of mute just to watch Jonas bros. Tabitha was here and was swooning.

I may go to Macy's today Mike gave me a gift card and I returned a pair of emu's he bought me so I am thinking I should pick a few things out. Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone. Cold weather heading this way again. How are you guys doing out east? Did you all get hit by the snow?

On New Yrs eve I caught tim watching samantha brown's DIsney holiday special. I think he might be missing the magic too granted that doesn't mean we are headed there soon but I am rubbing off on him.

Kara go is miss ally doing?

Does that mean you won't come in Feb?:sad1:

Lauren and I will be there Feb.15-20th, Sun-Fri. You and Ally MUST come!(I need to get out of riding RnRC - let Ally ride with Lauren!)

Of course I'll be there! :goodvibes I guess we'll come down that first Sunday you're there - cause I can't take off work to come during the week.

Jillian, I have watched NYRE every year since 1978, except when we were in Okinawa for 3 yrs. Tonight, we turned it on a couple of times, but were irritated with Kelly P also. Then we turned it back on and some really slutty girls were dancing - we changed it since Myles was watching - watched the Travel Channel Disney Holiday presentations - at Midnight, they showed all the Disneylands in the world, and MK New Year's fireworks - much better! :thumbsup2 They have texts across the bottom from viewers - Mark says he sent me a message from Mickey, but I haven't seen it yet.

Yeah, Kellie P bugged us too, but I think her voice sounded so funny cause she was so cold!!!! Either that or she'd been tipping a few before she started! :rotfl2:

Jim has been sick with his sinuses for 3 weeks now - today he went to the doc and got antibiotics for a sinus infection. He has pretty much been sleeping anytime he has a little down time for weeks, so I hope he perks up soon

Poor JIm! HOpe he gets to feeling better soon!

Last night I ordered some Disney Mary Jane crocs in chocolate, and a pair of crocs sandals (on sale of course) and a Bagallini sling bag in brown for my trip in March - which I promised I wouldn't buy new clothes for.

I have the Minne Janes in chocolate too!

I may go to Macy's today Mike gave me a gift card and I returned a pair of emu's he bought me so I am thinking I should pick a few things out. Have a great day everyone.

He got you ostriches????? :rotfl2:

Kara go is miss ally doing?

She is doing much better! She's gotten two more small sores, but they are not getting bigger and the others are definitely getting better. The oral antibiotic has definitely taken hold.

Miss Ally made it to the ball drop! She laid on the couch around 10:30 and we kept making her sit up - she dozed off a couple of times and we woke her up so by about 11:30 she was up and excited to see midnight. When she watched the ball drop and we all yelled "Happy New Year" she looked at us and said, "that's it?" :rotfl2:

So we played Rock Band for 3 hours, or until my eyes were crossing from watching the TV screen. It's so much fun though. I end up the drummer most of the time, although Ally does pretty well on drums too. Jeff plays guitar and Ally and I switch off singing. Some of the songs aren't too appropriate for a 7 year old to sing, but she loves Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive" and the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go." But because none of us can sing (and poor Ally THINKS she's good) Bon Jovi is being killed by us! :rotfl2:

Yesterday was so lazy - I didn't even shower until after dinner! But we had pork roast, potatoes and sauerkraut, black eyed peas, and greens and cornbread. Sooooo good! New Years Eve was snack foods - pizza rolls, mozzarella sticks, little taquitos, and sausage/cheese on rye toast. Plus cheese and crackers. Then we had the same thing for lunch yesterday. Nothing better than snacky stuff!

The diet and exercise routine begins Monday. I'll go shopping this weekend and get all good stuff to mimic the Jenny Craig plan and Jeff agreed to go to the fitness center with me 3 times a week. I can probably go during my lunch hour a couple days a week, too. I've gained back everything I lost a couple of years ago.

Oh, and get this, Jeff's boss casually asked him, "would you consider moving back to SC?" WTH???? I'd move back in a heartbeat!!!! But there's no way the company would do it - it would cost them too much. They'd have to buy our house for what we paid PLUS what we put into the outdoor kitchen area, and with Florida's housing situation, they'd lose about 70-100K right away. It is so bad here right now. Our neighbors are listing their house for $50K less than they paid for it a year ago! And it still hasn't sold in 7 months on the market!

Honestly, the only thing I like about Florida is the proximity to WDW and to the beach. I do like our neighborhood and all the amenities, but that's about it.

OK, maybe my new year's resolution should be to be more positive about life in FL? :confused3

I start my diet Monday too. I am going to try to make the gym 4 times a week or more. I use to love to go everyday I felt so good afterwards, but with Luca getting there is so hard. I refuse to be this out of shape for our next trip it was so hard walking around and I have been there 7 months pregnant:headache:

Kara I told Mike we may see you in March and he was excited to finally get to meet you. I talk about all of you so much he said he can't wait to put a name to the face. I can't wait to meet you and miss Ally.

Well a nothing day here I am going to clean up Christmas decorations and then put toys in the attic so I can bring them down a few at a time. There is no way this little boy needs this many toys.

Jillian - I'm excited too! I just told Jeff that I have "plans" for the first weekend in March at Disney and that's when he needs to have his golf buds down!

Don't know if I told y'all this story - my mind is mush so forgive me if I did already.

On Christmas Eve, Ally went to bed with her cousins, and she came to the top of the steps crying. I went up to her and asked what was wrong and she told me she was really nervous about Christmas. Why? She kept crying and told me she was afraid she was gonna get coal from Santa! So I laid with her for awhile and tried to reassure her. Funny thing is that we didn't even play the Santa card this year! But I think with him asking her about her room (and me constantly yelling at her about how messy it is), and then the whole cheating on her test thing, she was really struck with guilt.

Finally she went to sleep. The next morning, the kids all woke up and Ally came to wake us up as instructed. So the kids wet down to wait in the living room until all the adults were down in the family room where Santa had left their stuff. Ally called me into the living room, pulled me close, and in the most terrified little voice, she asked me to please go check if he brought her anything! Isn't that pathetic? How scared she must have been!
It serioulsy broke my heart!

OK, I'm editing my pix in photobucket right now so I'll post some later....

Hi Ladies!!!!
Good luck with all the dieting! Been there done that! We absolutely have to eat healthier on this end!!!! My kids just look so pale! I have been stressing big time about money so that's my diet!

I will start getting my act together starting NOW! Wish me luck!
Cleaning....budgeting...eating healthier...organizing pix,,,getting rid of all my clutter.....spending more one on one time with kids...WOW I think I am in for it!

Kara....Cute Ally stories. I am glad she is doing better to. Can't you get relocated to Chicago? I am trying to get Laura here!

Jillian...glad things are going good on your end.

Tammie...the girls being BFFs is so great! I hope Jim feels better. Seriously, it is a big reason I hate when summer ends. EVERYONE is just sick after sick! I hate it!

We actually have the whole sinus thing going through our house. Hopefully we are at the end. But then of course E will go back to school and get exposed to a whole new batch of crap!

Hi to the rest of you!!!!!!! Have a good couple more days before the kids go back to school!
Cammie...I hope you are enjoying your little break!

oh that is cute and sad at the same time. I hope she was happy when she found out her stocking had something in it. My first reaction was oh no the cousins ruined the magic by spilling the beans. I guess I should read things more clearly.

Omg!! SC!? I bet you were excited. Did they give you any time line? I know we are looking at homes and it is shocking to see that all most 70% of our equity is gone. We'll just bide our time. Speaking of houses, Jillian how are you guys doing?

I am with you guys for the weight loss. I jumped onthe scale and I put on almost 15 since last February. Jillian how did nutri system go? Costco has a special for5 weeks for 235. Is that a good price? I am at loss. I need help with my food portions and I can't seem to do it. I figure5 weeks on that thennjump to weight watchers for more flexibilty.

Is jim any better tammie?

Laura - as much as I'd love to move back to SC, and we'd try to buy in the exact same neighborhood where we lived before, I'd hate to drive by my last house and know that it's not mine anymore - I LOVED that house!

But because the company would take such a big hit on our house, I don't think it would ever happen anytime soon. And also, the auction in SC is terrible and Jeff doesn't know if it would be good career move. He's got this one in great shape now (well, barring the economic situation that has everything screwed up). I just wish he'd never told me about it because now that's all I can think about!

I'm trying to update my TR a bit with some Christmas pics on there. And I'm going to try to updat the TR part of it later today or tomorrow. I need to get it done before we head back again!

Now I've got to make it down to see Cammie, Jillian AND Tammie! And I will do everything I can to make it happen!!!!

Laura I like the nutrisystem. It makes things a little easier for me I will be starting up again Monday. Some of the food is ewe but I eat it anyway and I am not hungry so that is always a plus. The medicine they put me on made me super sick so I couldn't do the whole Nutrisystem thing. As for the house we are still not sure what is going on we are planning a move to NH sometime this spring probably after our DW trip. Mike has always wanted to move to SC so he has been looking there too. I am not really sure.:confused3 At this point where ever he decides is fine I am sick of thinking about it.

My neighbor lost 25 lbs on Nutrisystem this fall - sounds a lot like JC but I think it's cheaper. I've thought about looking it that. Just make sure you exercise!!!!! Even if it's just a brisk walk.

Jillian - I would recommend the upstate of SC (Greenville/Spartanburg) to anyone! It was just named the #5 city to live in! One hr from the mtns, 3 hrs from the beach, just over an hour to Charlotte, NC, and just over 2 hrs to Atlanta.

The schools in Spartanburg are OUTSTANDING!!!! Greenville is pretty good too, but they are too "political" for me. The Greenville downtown is awesome! It's beautiful and there is so much to do there. From our house on the westside of Spartanburg, it took us about 25 minutes to get to downtown Greenville, so that's why I loved Spartanburg. Oh, and I know the BEST realtor in the area!!! Just let me know if you ever are serious about a move there. You'd just have to make sure you have a spare room for ME! :rotfl2:

I'm blowing off work so bad today - I have about 7 calls to return and I'm procrastinating! But it's still a holiday weekend to me, so I'll just suck it up on Monday and be busy then. I want to play today!

Kara Nutrisystem is great and it's like any plan you will find things you like and don't like. I like that is is shelf stable and I can doctor it up a bit to what I need also I can get all of the counseling for free and there is live online support so you never have to go to the center. Plus you can get plans from QVC and Costco at good prices. I like getting it from them because I can pick what I want that way.

I will let you know about those places, but Mike's sister might have a job for me at Logan airport and the money is great and it's a 20 min drive with no traffic.

Erin - your little girl turns 10!!! Wow..... take a deep breath..... big school soon then........

Cheers,
Tessa

Oh i know the thought of big school is just scary, not long now and i will be redundant, no more walking my babe to school and seeing her lovely face as she runs out to tell me how fab her day was .. no it'll turn into grumpy teenage face before i know it i'm sure hahhahahahahahaha

Tessa and Erin Happy New Year!

Happy new yr Renee .. oh by the way sorry about the birthday thing on facebook, i saw it come up and didn't want to not say :rotfl:

Surgery went really fast. She seems to be doing well. We will go home in an hour or so. Everone have a great new year! Our plans are to veg out in front of the tv.

So glad surgery all went well Laura, hope she heals quickly

Happy New Year to you all

Hope everyone had a great New yrs eve and a better relaxing New yrs day :rotfl:
I have a sore mouth today, wisdom teeth yuck so am a little swollen and sore but ho hum have a dentist appt soon, yuck :scared1:

Back to school on tuesday for Chloe so we are making the most of every day we have left!! Then i have to go buy all her b'day pressies, yikes again what to buy the girl who has everything??!!

As for diets i start back on mine on Monday .. I lost 10 lbs before Christmas so back on as i have soo much to lose and only 12 weeks to do it really as am off to OKlahoma to stay with my friend who i met here on the DIS crazy hey

Ok I think I will give it a go. A trip to costco for me. I think I will have come up with an alternative for the rest of the family.

Do any of you guys watch Biggest Loser? I know people who did that on the computer along with the show and did really well. I want Mark to do that. I think it looks like it would be fun. OBVIOUSLY you guys don't have a lot of weight to lose but I don't think it matters.

I guess one of the couples from the Biggest Loser is a neighbor of my inlaws. I didn't watch this season though, so I just know that the wife got kicked off first, and the husband was a jerk. Yeah, I know that really narrows it down! :rotfl2:

Jeff doesn't want me spending the money at JC but it just makes it so easy! It's all preportioned for me! I guess I'll just have to put forth more effort on my own. Oy vey!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL!!!

I'm in my post-holiday funk! Hate that the holidays are over and another year has gone by. And I'm sitting here, looking at my pathetic tree and dreading having to undecorate!

We got about 6 more inches of snow on NYE so I decided not to go over to friends'. Just as well - it was nice to be in my own house. Spent an hour on the phone with Lauren at midnight - she was just miserable at her dad's (long story!) New Year's eve is depressing enough - having to deal with a sad child just made it worse!:sad1: But seeing the JoBros. on Dick Clark made me smile! (teehee!:goodvibes ) Suffice it to say, I didn't get to bed until 2am; but on the flipside, I was able to sleep until 11 on Thurs! Can't tell you the last time I slept that late!:thumbsup2

My New Year's resolutions? I, too, need to seriously diet! I have been eating with such disregard these past two weeks - really careless eating! I'm not usually like that.:sad2: And, I'm trying to stop biting my nails. I used to get tips put on because I hate short nails but it was getting too expensive. I'm going to try and grow them myself. It's just that when I get stressed, the first thing I do is pick at my nails. Such a bad habit!

I am sooo behind on my DISing! I've neglected my TR for a week now and have not caught up with other threads that I subscribe too. I also promise to give Facebook a try too! Good lord, I've gotten so many emails from people inviting me to be their friends - can't seem to avoid it any longer!

I got all the indoor decorations down yesterday, except for the tree, and my ceramic village. I've asked Jeff to take down all the stuff outside, so we'll see how long that takes.....:rolleyes1

I really need to get it all down before I clean house, but I'm getting that overwhelmed feeling right now because the house is a wreck!!!! I really need to clean bathrooms, and I just don't have it in me to do it!

So Jeff got off early today right? And I thought he could help me out, right? WRONG! He's sleeping on the couch! :headache: I don't know why I even get my hopes up. :sad2:

Tammie, that is great that your DILs are getting on so well!
Debbie, how are you feeling now?
Jillian, I'm really looking forward to meeting you and the Badookie (oh, and Mike, too! :rotfl: ) - I'm even starting to check for resort rates. I might try CBR or All-Stars this trip.
Laura, your weather ticker scares me! How is Beth feeling?
Renee, where are you girl???
Cammie, did you give Lauren the trip as a Christmas present? I can't remember?
Tessa and Erin, what is the big British tradition on New Years Eve?
Sewer, glad your son is doing well in wrestling! I just got off the phone with a customer in Westerville (where I went to high school) - small world!
Pam, Pam, Keahi, Maureen, where are you????
Who did I forget? This is why I need to quote replies, otherwise I forget people! Debbie's little thread has grown so much!!!!

Tammie - I just realized we're planning on coming to WDW with my parents the last weekend in March! So we should definitely be there when you're there!

Hi All my Disbuds!

Kara - nice to have your chatty self back! Let's see if I can remember:
1. Glad Ally is on the Mend. So sweet and sad about her Santa scare. Sometimes we just don't realize what's going on in their little heads.:cutie:
2. Moving? Let's see you love to be near WDW, You love to be near the beach, and you love warm weather - Geeze tough problem to have!:rotfl:
3. We WILL get to see you in March!   I'm so excited! I talk about you to Jim alot, too! I think he's afraid I might ask to move in across the street from you! Ha! Hey, I just had a thought - we could all move in to your neighborhood, and we could be "Desparate Housewives" only not so desparate! :rotfl2:

4. Sounds like you had a fun family New Year's - alot like mine. Us girls watched movies while we scrapped. I tried to put in Mama Mia, but we weren't in to it that night. I watched it this am before Jim took it back - Lindsay came in and watched it with me, and we cried together - you moms of girls HAVE to see it! I loved it - I mean there is alot of ABBA music, which I liked, but the story is so sweet.

Laura, how is Beth doing?
Jillian - I'm excited for your trip! You get to meet Kara first! :worship:

Debbie - good for you going for your goals. We ate like pigs this last couple of weeks, too. I have to get back in to the kitchen and cook some healthy food.

Tessa and Erin, hope things are going well for you.

Renee - we know who you are and we know what you did! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Cammie - glad you are getting some down time! I have stayed up that late the past couple of nights, but I still wake up at 8am! I'm trying to take a nap now, but I know as soon as I fall asleep, Jim will come in and want to go to his 'rents.

Hi everyone! Where are Tina, Pam, Pam2, Maureen?

As for weight loss - no pressure, but this is what I jump started with last year - reformulated to taste even better this year, plus you could win a $1000 spa retreat!

http://www.gofigure8.com/products/the_products.asp

I can help you get it at cost if anyone wants to try it. Please don't feel you have to respond - I just loved my results and like to share.

Kara - I'll post my itinerary so you know what we are doing when we are there! I am excited to meet you! Jim is a little shy, but he'll go along with my plans!
