Hey gang - said I wouldn't get on today, but I can't resist.

1st - if you are even remotely thinking of going in May - check the rates just published. Pretty stinking low for room only bookings.

AKL & WL are posting $179/night during our stay, so as Kara told you that is our big debate today. We can shorten from 7 days down to 6 & upgrade or keep all as is. Carlos wants to leave it :confused3 because he is a mexican food junkie I think! :lmao: I ate at WL so I have an idea of the interior. It was pretty but we aren't rustic people. :rotfl:

Anyway - want to say thanks for the opinions Cammie & Laura - Kara got them to me.

Off to clean for the big party tomorrow. Can't believe she is 2 already. :sad2:

I'll go back and read next time and catch up - but it may be Sunday - have a good weekend guys!

Did you check Poly because maybe there IS an offer there! I thought I saw something. I am surfing southwest's packages like you suggested. Looks OK but still pricey because I am looking at June!

The water park is after school today. I REALLY wish I didn't have to go there with a head cold but maybe all that humidity will make me feel better!

Good luck with the hubby! They are really just another kid, Dont ya think!

Yah, they are. He just needs a tune-up, I'm sure:thumbsup2

OK, so if you find a place in MK, and I move into Epcot, we can be like neighbors!!! Instead of the real housewives of Beverly Hills, we'll be the real housewives of Disney World!!! :rotfl2:

I would love to see that show! :lmao: Kara has a daughter who moonlights as a bartender. She drives all over WDW on a tricked-out golf cart. Debbie has her in-laws and Ps come at the same time, staying in apts on opposite sides of Main Street, and she spends her time running back and forth between the two on Christmas:eek:
I'm picturing this as NOT and indoor park!!! :rotfl2: Little kids getting out of the pool with blue lips, sliding down and Ice slide instead of a water slide. Yeah, my mind is mush right now!

:lmao: :lmao: She did say it was 70 the other day :thumbsup2
Oh, and Lorrie - BOOK AKL!!!!! She said she might not be on today so I'm gonna get everyone's opinion for her. 7 nights at CSR with hopper or 6 nights at AKL no hopper for same price. What would you do?

I would pick AKL - bigger beds, love the atmosphere, and don't hop much, so we could do a park a day just fine!

For Lorrie - my opinion: I would choose the 7 nights at CSR. But then again - I like to hop!:p :tigger:

Kara - For your siggie: you could resize all the pix you have with us; and then just string them together.

Jillian - Good luck today! Let us know how everything goes.

I'm off for a little while. Lauren had a teacher's professional day; just came back from getting her hair cut. She got 3inces taken off, layers and long side bangs. She looks gorgeous, if I do say so myself! Now we're off to Target for some birthday presents and god knows what else!

Later ladies!

Can't wait to see the pics!

Debbie- That celebrity agent is killing me! I had 6 druggies and did NOT get my rehab badge!!!! So mad. So now I'm working on power couples. Running out of money though! You've got me hooked on this! I've invited tons of people but only one has joined.

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!

I know it is crazy! I hear something on the TV or radio and I am running to the computer to find people or lock them up! That is crazy! Here is the thing....before you hunt for the badges why don't you try and make some money! Get some good ones and let them hang out for a while. You need friends to join so you have more options. Sometimes if they join and never play it is actually better because you just can use their celebrities and they don't take yours. You kind of can use them as storage too! LOL

Yah, throw a big party in Vegas and hang out with them for awhile - maybe they'll give you a raise! (I have no idea what I'm talking about, it just sounded good. Maybe I'm mush today, too!:goodvibes )

Sounds like a great rate for AKL & WL! I wouldn't choose WL, because that is just like home - at least the "Northwest lodge" feel and the pine trees. When I'm on vacation, I want it to be different.

Have fun with Mia's party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MIA! princess:

Tammie, too funny about my daughter the bartender, cruising around on our tricked out golf cart and Debbie running back and forth across Main St. I can so see it now! And boy oh boy wouldn't that golf cart come in handy in World Showcase!!! Just steer clear of me after I've stopped in Germany, France, UK, Mexico..... ;)

I just had to get a new thermostat put in my furnace! Ours has been messing up, anyway. This morning it was suddenly cold, called for repairs, and they were really quick to come over! New thermostat is in and only costs $75. When the same people put the same thermostat in our office at the doctor I worked for, it was $325! :confused3

STupid celebrity agent on Facebook! I got another badge, but spent almost all my money doing it!

They guys just left from cleaning and resealing all our tile floors! I might actually like my tile after this. The grout looks brand new!!! I've been waiting all week for this!

I learned something - do not clean ANY floors with a high ph cleaner. High ph attracts dirt and oils, which stain and leave a residue on floors. That includes ammonia, pine sol, and all those floor cleaners. VERY interesting to learn. Of course Jeff didn't believe it, so I checked it online and it's true! So I bought a gallon of what he was selling, not cheap, but only use 1 capful/gallon of water. And when I searched for recommended floor cleaners with low ph online, he's right in line with everyone else's price. Hopefully this will help keep them cleaner longer!

AND I learned not to steam tile floors too much or it will break down the grout. So I think I'll mop weekly (hopefully can just dust mop in between now that they are clean!) and steam monthly. I'll know the first time I steam if the cleaner is working well or not.

OK, that was your Martha tip for the day! ;)

So true! But wait, let me get my dictionary..... paging through to the "M"s.... just one more second..... almost there...... AHA! "Mozzie" - is that mosquito? :rotfl: I just love messing with you! It is mosquito, right?

Tammie - Forgot to add YEA to the much less expensive thermostat!!!!

Jeff and Ally are on a "date." Tonight is father/daughter night at the local Chick-Fil-A so off they went. I think I'll eat on my new floors. ;)

Thank you Martha! I am definately going to get a steamer. I was just trying to figure out which kind - I like the looks of the floor steamer - I hate small details - but does yours have a floor attachment with a big pad - and isn't yours on wheels? I don't want to carry one on my shoulder.

I was just going to ask what a mozzie was - I was getting scared!:scared1: Then I saw Kara's post!:rotfl2: And yes, I am so excited. We leave 5 days from tomorrow am. We don't leave for the World until 8 days, though!

Tammie - Forgot to add YEA to the much less expensive thermostat!!!!

Jeff and Ally are on a "date." Tonight is father/daughter night at the local Chick-Fil-A so off they went. I think I'll eat on my new floors. ;)

I'm going to eat on my floors, too. Then I'll be in the hospital for food poisoning! :rotfl: I really can't wait to have a clean house again.

Well, I'm off to serve a dinner at church - I'm getting my nails done in the morning - I'll try to check in.

Thank you Martha! I am definately going to get a steamer. I was just trying to figure out which kind - I like the looks of the floor steamer - I hate small details - but does yours have a floor attachment with a big pad - and isn't yours on wheels? I don't want to carry one on my shoulder.

I have the steamfast hard floor cleaner. Mine is blue and yes it has a big pad for floors. Love it! And I read that you can use steamers on hardwoods too. :confused3 Because the steam dries so much quicker than a mop and bucket (even a damp mop!) I figured I could still use it for "deep" cleaning every month or so. And then just dust mop in between? When I had hardwoods before anything I used on it dulled the floors and left a buildup of grit. That's why I got a housekeeper every other week. Just for my floors!!!! And she never would tell me what she used but they were always beautiful and they stayed looking good until she came back!

Oh, I don't want to jinx it but Jeff may be getting me a "new" car on Tuesday. He found a great deal, test drove it and said he's gonna put in a bid at the sale. I wish he wouldn't have told me because now I REALLY want it and I"ll be bummed out if it doesn't work out! And then he'll sell mine the following week (unless I can sell it on craigslist for more $). It looks like this one would only cost about $2K more than what mine will sell for, and it's a BIG upgrade!!!! Keep your fingers crossed!

Good morning everybody! I won't be around again until Monday. Heading down to jersey to see my niece in a production of High School Musical and won't be back until sunday night. Have a good weekened!

Lorrie - good luck with Mia's party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIA!!!!:bday: party:

Hey girls thanks for the concern all went well and they didn't find anything which is good and bad. Good nothing is there bad that I have no reason for having aunt flo for 45 days and there is no reason that I am not able to get pregnant. So who knows.

Cammie- Have fun in NJ

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIA:cheer2: :flower3:

Kara- I was thinking about getting the same steamer as you. I have hardwood all upstairs. What a pain to clean them I always go after and wipe them down with a towel. What a PITA

Tammie- It's almost trip time woo hoo :yay:

Erin- you will get there soon enough too bad you couldn't make a stop in Boston to give me and Cammie a visit.

Tessa- Thank the girls for the name suggestions we have decided to go with Minnie. Gotta have a disney name;)

Jillian - Minnie is perfect!!!! Love it! And good news on the test, I think? :confused3

Hello everyone - gorgeous weather here today. We got up and out the door early and ended up buying bedroom furniture. Note to all, if you need ANYTHING, Ashley Furniture stores are offering 60 months (yes, 5 years!!!) no interest! We couldn't resist. And then of course since we got new furniture Jeff had to go to HH Gregg and get a new TV for the bedroom.

And I'm thinking my "new" car might not happen. Jeff said now is a great time to SELL a car but to wait about 3 months to buy. Right now cars are selling high because there just isn't much available. The whole supply and demand thing. So he's gonna throw out an offer but he thinks MY car is going to sell for more than he's willing to pay. I'll let y'all know Wednesday morning...... We were gonna drive by to see it but I said NO because I don't want to get my heart broken if I love it and then don't get it. So right now I just know what it is and what color. And all the extras. I think I'm already heartbroken if I don't get it. :sad1:

I am so tired today - woke up at 5:30 and coulnd't go back to sleep this morning. Tried taking a little nap..... not much. Think I'll be sacking out early tonight.

Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MIA! Is today the actual bday or just the party! Hope all goes well!

OK I have lost my mind! We booked a WDW trip! I WILL soon have a ticker!
We got the "Buy 4 get 3 package" through American Airlines vacation plus my entertainment book discount and the Poly garden view was available! I am afraid to tell you guys the cost because I dont want you to tell me we didn't get a deal but I feel like we did after a lot of talking it through (and I called Lorrie).

The reason I can justify it is because I will be going with just my mom and the kids so she will pay for half of the room!

As we are playing around with the numbers it came up that it was only going to be another $600.00 to add dining. $600.00 for the whole 7days. That would be for all 4 of us. I said to my Mom unfortunately and fortunately we would be spending that on food. 2 character dinners and BOOM that's about $300 of that $600.00 right there! Am I kidding myself!?

I texted a couple of you guys 1700.00 but now with dining it is a total of 3300.00 for the 4 of us. Is that bad for a deluxe resort plus dining?

So.......off to find airfare! I really am still in shock. Plus I am going to go to the WDW site and price out the trip without the eadl and see how well I did or didn't do!

HOLY CATS!!!!!! that sounds like an amazing price. Is this going to be in the summer? Have fun. I think this will help you a lot. Now I am contemplating how to make a trip for us work. Still think it is out of the cards but I can hope. Plus I can save more for when we do go back in 2 years. I am hoping for a mod with 7 days.

HAPPY BIRTDAY TO MIA. ( yes I spelled birthday wrong. that's what we say to people in our family. my dad made us a birthday plate when we were 5 and he spelled it wrong so that has been the joke ever since. )

The weather has melted the snow. It hasn't changed my motivation at all. Still in the dumps. Tim is being consumed by work so I don't want to start any projects without him and the Lord above knows I have a list.

Congrats on the bedroom Kara.

Happy to hear they didn't find anything on the test Jillian. I have had that happen too. 45 days is tooooo much Aunt Flow. It happened just before I got pregnant with Katie. They never "found the cause". Hasn't happened since, still keeping my fingers crossed.

Sounds exciting that you are leaving soon Tammie. Enjoy the basketball games.

Can't wait to see Miss Lauren's hair.

I've just skimmed this page - and from it sounds like Jillian - everything went okay? I hope so!

Kara - yes today is her actual birthday and her party. I'm tired, but it was fun. We did a pasta dinner, so it was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY easier than doing meat, veggies -etc. Plus the kids loved it - so we may have a new tradition at our house! :rotfl:

Did I mention I am beat? I'm so stinking tired. I think this is the first time I sat all day long!

Debbie - Okay, I went in and checked on our side and for us to do that through SWA vacations it was raise the cost of our trip by $1200 to switch to the POLY, so that sounds to me like a good deal you got. However, I'm voting no on the non-expiration passes - that is just a lot of money to pay now. I'm thinking unless you stay out of the part more than two days it won't pay off. :confused3 I think that the DDP will be so good for you guys! All done, all you have to do is tip and be on your way! Use your points too - and two more words. Yard Sale!

Thanks so much for all the munchkin wishes. She was so funny. She kept screaming no when everyone was singing to her - by the end of the song tears were in her eyes. I have no idea what that was about - but she did NOT like the birthday song - or should I say "Birtday song". :lmao: :goodvibes

Off to bed. I'm pooped guys. Just had to give it one more go on the Poly rate - no budge. :confused3 I can't go an extra grand on this trip, so I guess I'll go ahead and pay up tomorrow and be done. :) Oh, well. Not everyone can be Kara. :rolleyes1

:grouphug:

I am glad the DD had a great day!!!
Thanks for your advice. After we decided on the DDP we figured we would probably be visiting the parks more with no need to add the "no expiration". I guess if we do decide on that we will be adding 110.00 a ticket. Something to way out.
I am going to make my ticker right now.. I seriously can not believe it!
