Thanks for looking! :3dglasses

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh - what lovely little darlings (no obligation felt at all!!!)

Debbie - oops you've probably gone but here's some pixie dust anyhow - have a great time... :tink:

Tessa

Tammie - And here's an ohhhhhhhh!:cutie: Also, no obligation felt. Your grandkids are truly adorable! Show them off as much as you want!

Tammie - "OOOOH" (and no obligation!) You must be so proud! They are all so adorable. I just want to squeeze their cheeks!

I am behind on my pics. I need to get caught up this weekend, so I can wipe my memory card clean for the trip!!

Have a most awesome day, all! It's almost Friday!:cool1: :cheer2:  :yay: :dance3:

Hi guys! I'm still lurking whenever I get a chance but I can't keep up w/you guys. There's always so much I want to write back.

Tammie - Loved the pics. They deserve the Ooohs and Aaahs. My DD was so excited about halloween that she took a late nap and could hardly get up to trick or treat. Then she was crabby after about an hour. But at least she enjoyed the hour. Glad you guys had fun.

Pam2 & Cammie - Not too much longer to go before your trips.:woohoo:

Tessa - Make the planning last forever, it's half the fun. You'll be going before you know it. And as for the parades, if you can I would schedule them early on in the trip. We missed Spectromagic because it rained the night we planned on going and it was chilly w/the rain. That was the last day for Spectromagic while we were there.

All your itineraries sound great. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone for the OOhs and Ahhs!

Pam2 and Cammie! Are you packed yet?

Lisa, good to hear from you!

:grouphug: everyone!

Hi, Lisa!! I'm glad you all had a fun Halloween! Once I get my pictures in order (It HAS to be this weekend!), I will post some pics.

I am finishing up my shopping of misc. toiletry items this weekend, and making sure that I am completely done on laundry. I am going to try to get the girls to set aside as many clothes as they can that they will wear on the trip and not need at school next week. I’ll do the same, and also set aside the toiletries that we don’t use on a daily basis.

Tonight on my way home from work, I’m meeting DH and the girls at the hair salon, Megan has a hair cut appt., then afterwards, we’re dropping her off at the movie/dinner theater to meet some friends and their parents, and the 3 of us will go eat somewhere. Tomorrow AM, Megan has a band tryout, Taylor has a Girl Scout event, we have a baby shower (for my soon to be niece!), then Taylor’s bday party. Taylor’s birthday is Monday. The party is a sleepover at a hotel, and the kids will have pizza, cake and ice cream, swim, play a couple of games, paint nails and watch a movie. We get free breakfast at the hotel. We’ve done it before, and you can’t beat the price and my house isn’t a mess! All fun stuff this weekend!, but basically, I’ll only have ½ day on Sunday to get stuff done! I think that we pretty much have what we need for the trip. I know I need to get a camera memory card, some gel shoe inserts for Megan (She wants to try them, so of course, Taylor wants them too! Has anyone tried them?), and some magazines and gum for them for the plane and my purse. Also, cereal and granola bars for those AMs we have late breakfasts so the girls and I can eat them in the hotel when we’re getting ready. The other days, we just eat in the POP food court after we get ready. DH can wait until 10:30am to eat. Us girls cannot! Not when we get up at 6/6:30ish!

I've probably said 1/2 this stuff before! I am totally rattling!!

It’s getting down to the wire and I am so very excited!!!:yay:

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!!!!
:grouphug: Pam2

After a short pause I'm back! I missed writing a goodbye note to Deb!

Tammie - I have a list; now I just have to get the stuff on the list! :thumbsup2
Cammie

Don't forget the zip lock bags! Everyone on this thread is required to use the zip locks when packing! :lmao:

Have fun Pam! We used to do bdays like that for our boys at Comfort Inn! We had them swim early before the all of the guests arrived - boys can be obnoxious - then got a GIANT pizza - supposed to serve 25 people - 8 10 yr old boys at it all up in about 15 minutes! I really loved not having the mess at home, and controlling the time when everyone got to go home!

After a short pause I'm back! I missed writing a goodbye note to Deb!

Welcome Back!

Hey everyone! On another thread, the OP left for the world, and we started raiding her cupboards, going through her drawers - got mud on the couch, had a kegger... we are causing all kinds of trouble, and we are going to blame it on the dog! She is going to wish she took us with her in her suitcase!:rotfl2:

Nope - still here Tammie, just in that pre Christmas lull - everyone back at school, not much happening....

My eldest girl wants a movie party this year (birthday 12th Dec, so doing it on the 1st - or else it gets "lost" in Christmas stuff...) - so taking 3 friends to the movies, then across the road to Frankie and Benny's for pizza, then taking them home - should be less stressful than the full "at home" experience, but I get the feeling it's the end of another "stage" in life.....:sad1:

She made her invites yesterday (I just have to confirm dates with the special-est friend's mum first!!!). Doing lots of ebay - lil-bratz are wanted for Xmas - but I guess they stopped selling them, so it's all ebay - makes for a cheaper Xmas though!:rolleyes1

Got to go to swimming lessons....
Cheers,
Tessa

I'm still here too - just dealing with a sick child this weekend. Fever and all-around misery. At least, hopefully, it will be long gone by the time we leave in two weeks!

Got my ziploc bags - 2 sizes! :thumbsup2 I'm also packing a box to ship down on Friday - with some of Amanda's supplies and other necessities for the room - like decent coffee! Pam- how's your packing going? Are you there on Thanksgiving? If so, what are your plans down there? I've been so busy getting ready for the trip, I keep forgetting there's a holiday in there to celebrate before we go! It's just going to be me and the girls, so I really don't have to cook a big meal, but will still be doing a turkey with the trimmings!

Hope everyone is enjoying the three day weekend! It's freezing here - 29degrees at 8am! :scared1: 13 more days to Florida!:woohoo:

Hi Tessa! I like that kind of Birthday Party - however, it does start to feel a little "grown up." Happy planning! party:

Hello Cammie. Sorry your little one is sick  Glad you have your zip locks! :thumbsup2 Now you can officially pack - that is if your list is finished! :lmao:

Did everyone else go away? :confused3

I'm here, Tammie, recovering from "the birthday party". It was a good time had by all. We had good itent on getting the Christmas decorations down and getting started, but I ended up taking a nap and running a couple of mall errands, and it didn't happen. I am keeping all laundry done, doing small loads every day, to make sure that everything is clean on Wednesday. That is the night that I will fill the suitcases. The list is thorough, so it won't be a problem. We don't have an extra room or much room to keep the suitcases out for very long. We'd be tripping over them, so it's best to do it close to our trip.

Tomorrow is Taylor's real birthday, so she's chosen to go to Olive Garden for dinner. Tuesday night is her school program, and Wednesday night, we just have to drop off and pick up Megan from bible study, so we should be able to get it all done that night. I am taking 1/2 day off work Thursday, so I can take the dogs to the vet for boarding and finish up the last of the packing.

Tessa - That's my birthday, too! I've always liked having my birthday close to Christmas. We didn't have birthday parties when I was a kid, so I didn't feel that it was difficult. Everyone is so busy that time of year, so I bet it's hard to find people available for a birthday party. The kids do grow up so fast. At Taylor's party last night, my 14 yr. old was reminding me how close she is to driving. Very scary...I am not ready!

Cammie - I hope that everyone gets well at your house before you leave!! I am NOT allowing sickness into my home! We only have 4 more days!! I cannot believe it! We are there on Thanksgiving, and our only plans are to be at Animal Kingdom, and fly home that night. I don't have any meal plans, we'll probably just eat counter service. My aunt, who is house sitting for my mom, and my grandma, who is flying in from Chicago a couple of days before Thanksgiving, will be cooking, and we'll have a nice dinner at my mom's on Friday. We are carpooling to the airport w/my parents and sister to/from the airport, and she doesn't know it yet, but I am going to talk my sister into leaving her dogs at my parents one more night and spending the night at our house and going shopping w/me EARLY Friday AM! We'll then swing by my house, pick DH and my DDs, and head to my mom's for good food and to see my grandma!! She is 93, helped raise me, and is my hero! I am excited about seeing her, :yay: but then our trip will be over.:sad2:

29 degrees? I think that we must have gotten up to the 80s today, and I just turned the thermostat down to 73 because I was hot! Could be the start of hot flashes?

Well, I took a nap, so I am not tired. DH just asked me when I was planning on going to bed, and I didn't realize it was so late. I don't even feel tired.

Good night all!!
:grouphug: Pam2

Pam! Glad the Birthday Party was a success! 4 DAYS!!! Can you believe it?

Sounds like you will have some wonderful family time, too! :grouphug:

Oh, Cammie - it is about that temp here in the mornings, too! We are getting up into the 50's by noon, and it starts cooling off fast at about 3pm!

We are making our garage storage room into my office this weekend in prep for our DS and his fam to move in. Moved a bunch of stuff into the attic, cleaned off some shelves, cleaned the room and made a trip to the Goodwill today. Tomorrow we paint!

I am useless, and will be until I start vacation at noon on Thursday!!:woohoo: I just can't contain myself!

It looks like the weather is supposed to be good, too!:woohoo:

Oh, Tammie! Your grandbabies will be really close!

I wish I could have yours and Cammie's fall weather! It's over 80 again today!!

FALL! Let's just trade places for awhile :goodvibes I just love the sun and the warm weather. My family is from Minnesota, but I just don't like to be :cold:
I tell my DH that I know I was supposed to be born somewhere warm and the stork got lost! :rotfl2: I would absolutely love your warm weather - DH grew up in Southern CA, so I think he would agree with me.

Have a wonderful day, friends!:hippie: We may break a record temperature today. They are calling for it to be 85 degrees. This is exactly why I cannot pack 7 days worth of Florida clothes. We're wearing them!!

:flower3: Pam2

Pam2 - I know just what that is like - we don't have 7 days of "spare" warm weather clothes either - not just me!!!!!

When you read that carriers lose peoples case at the airport, I would be mortified if it happened to us as most of the clothes we own are actually in our cases!!!

Got 10 hours worth of housework to fit into 45 minutes aaarrrrggghhhhh - forgot I'm helping at the school book fair this week -so have even LESS time than normal - I thought I was supposed to be a "lady of leisure" now, but life gets filled up somehow....;).

Cheers,
Tessa

p.s. Tomorrow I must do the housework (my mantra at the minute!!)
