It's been about 5 years since I was in VA, I had rented a house in the Sandbridge area by the beach , and to tell ya the truth... I sure do miss it. I'll have to get myself on photobucket, and post a few pictures of the snow we've had around here lately.

Maureen - Happy belated B-day! I would be so excited to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. When my DH and I were dating he got tickets to see Beauty and the Beast at the Chicago Theater. It was one of the best presents he ever got me. He really doesn't like musicals much so to buy the tickets for $160 was a big deal to me. That is so great that you guys get to go out w/out the kids. I hope you guys have a blast.
Gotta go. DD is upset.

Hi everyone...I hope you are all doing well.

I just need to vent for a minute. I just spent all day in our freezing cold weather trying to find Bears clothes for the kids. Now tell me if I am crazy but if you owned a store that would sell something like that wouldn’t you make sure you had TONS of merchandise before your team is going to the Superbowl! Nothing at Sports Authority, Dicks, TJ Max, ToyRUs, BabysRUs, Kohls, Carson’s, Pennies, and the list goes on….I am so frustrated!! They have merchandise for mostly men. Oh well….

And another thing….I got an email saying my siggie is illegal and then another one even after I tried to fix it saying it was still wrong. Well, it’s one thing if everyone had legal siggies but hardly anyone does so it’s annoying to me….. So as you will see my siggie will be shrinking!!!!!

The place is great! There was this place on the road in, that served the best seafood I've ever had. The building looked a little shabby, but the food OMG...... Do you know the name of the place? Send me a care package?

Debbie...I really liked the pic you posted. I can't believe that anyone would take offense to it. I am pulling for the Bears in the SuperBowl. Isn't it so exciting to have your team in the SB? I remember how awesome it was a few years ago when the Eagles were in the SuperBowl. My sister actually got to go to the game. I know what you mean about how frustrating it is trying to find your teams clothes for the kids. You would think that the stuff would be everywhere.
Did you try Target? I found an Eagles shirt for DS there when they were still in the playoffs.

Lisa..Thanks for the birthday wishes. I am so excited for tomorrow. I have been singing Mary Poppins songs all day! I am so happy to be able to have some time alone with DH. It was been so long since we have had a night to ourselves.

Hello - I'm new to the boards and so excited that we are planning our 1st familyWDW trip this spring. I haven't been there in years , but it will be our 1st for ds (for his 5th b-day). I tend to get a bit nervous with the packing and getting it all together before the trip - ok a few months away but getting orginized now might make the time fly a bit faster. Thanks for the older post with BEFORE TRIP LIST on it will help me get started. DS has no clue (so I think) that we are going, but he has seen books around the house and his eyes are lighting up when he sees WDW on tv.
We have even started renting some movies that we don't own, like Honey I shrunk the kids, so when he sees them in the parks he'll be familar with the attractions a bit more.
Boy, I fell like a big kid myself and feel that it won't be here soon enough!!

Debbie - Sorry you're having such a hard time lately. We always have a hard time finding things for my DH since soccer isn't as popular as football. Over the last few years it has gotten a little better. And the siggie, well I don't know all the rules yet so can't help you w/that either. Hope you have a great time watching the game. We're staying home since it will be the coldest day of the year in Chicago. I couldn't even stand going out today.

Hey! Where is everyone? Sorry about the Bears, Debbie! Good to see you again, Fromscratchmom!

We had a great time on Saturday. Mary Poppins was awesome..better than I even expected. It was so nice to have a real date with my DH. DD asked me why she wasn't allowed to go on our date. I told her that our week in WDW was like a big "date" with the whole family.

I should be cleaning up now before I have to pick DD up from preschool. I am dreading going outside..its about 10 here today.

I will check back in later..hope to hear from everyone!

Hey Maureen, Glad to hear you had so much fun. Sad about the Bears. And the fact that it is another BLISTERY COLD day here in Chicago doesn't help any. It is around 1 degree w/wind chills near -20. The school busses aren't all starting so kids won't be considered absent if they don't make it in today. That's how wonderful our weather is here. Sorry if I sound crabby, I'm just depressed. I don't do well in cold weather.
Question for anyone who knows. Can you take video in the castle for breakfast?

I agree with Lisa. This weather is so awful! I do try and think of those people on the show "I shouldn't be alive" from the Discovery channel when I am whining too much but I can't help but feel like the weather is dragging me down!

TinkLvr(Maureen) Glad you had fun at Mary Poppins! I love shows like that and would love if we would get another Disney one here!

Sewer If I had the party you would have been invited! It was at an upstairs room over a bar and it was a ton of fun (even though they lost). The kids could be there and so they had a blast!
