Nope - he totally wasn't. I've watched it twice now (because that's what us Lost geeks do! ) The smoke detector was over the receptionist's desk - Jack jumps up on it to stop it. His dad is sitting on a couch in the reception area - in front of a window. Saw no smoke detector over him.

I may be back on around 10pm; hope some of you are still here! Going out in Boston for dinner with friends - of course, the weather is disgusting right now and I'm trying to work up the excitement for a night out. I'm sure I'll manage somehow.
