YES!!! Right through the International Gateway into World Showcase. You can also take the boat to DHS! And the Boardwalk always has performers at night, jugglers, etc, and you can even rent tandem bikes, etc. Love Love Love the Boardwalk area!

We could actually go April, early May or Mid-Oct. Mid Oct they have a fall break for that Mon & Tues, so he would only miss a day or two of school.

I think early May might be a little cheaper than October. When I priced out our trip in October it was MORE without dining that going in September WITH the dining plan. We're staying at Yacht Club this time (right next door to Beach Club). I'm soooo excited!

When we stayed at Boardwalk Inn 10 years ago, we got a standard view but had the most magnificent view of the Epcot ball and Eiffel Tower - so pretty all lit up at night! They say the water view rooms can be noisy (at BWI) because of the boardwalk outside. But we usually stay nicer and do a cheaper view to save money. Plus, with the exception of our honeymoon we're rarely in our room.

So I guess either that first week of May, or Mid Oct then. When will they allow you to book 2009?

i love October. We went the week of the 23rd 10 yrs ago and it was gorgeous. I know many states have a break around 19th or so. I'll let you know about the May dates when we get back

My sis is calling the bug man today. She has coral snakes climbing in her foundation in TX. I', so glad we don't have bugs like that. We too have boxelders and Asian Beatles . Harmless but yuck!

Kara I did see you will have the whole Clan the day DH gets back. I think I'd kill him. Is everyone flying into Jacksonville and then are you guys driving down?

I remember being hyper concerned about that being pregnant. We had a bug guy that said, "no, you can drink what we use" and then he had a rather rough around the edges sub one day. He said, "Yeah, those other guys tell you it is safe to drink, but I'm telling you that if your dog drinks it, she'd be dead in an hour!"

I'm trying to book our beach trip right now. I'm trying to decide between the nice one we always stay at that is a 40 unit complex, or the new one that has 3 pools, 1 being kiddie and a Lazy River. It is closer to a pier that people fish off of and almost right beside the gulfarium there. It always smells fishy to me. I think it is like a 120 unit building.

The one we stay at is always nice and quite, but we've been staying there since 2000, and I noticed last time it was starting to show a little wear. DH said he wanted to stay there unless I could prove we should do something else. I just called the reservation line and they HIGHLY recommend the new one. It just opened in March. The price is $3 per day cheaper than good ole trusty.

I'm such a spaz.

Hi girlies! My head is spinning, and no, I am not drinking at work! I absolutley cannot keep up this pace, so I won't even try! This thread is going to blow up the Dis! I cannot remember who said what! I'll be the first to admit that early Alzheimers is setting in, but this is crazy!

I vote for October! I love WDW in the "cooler" weather. My fave trip was the year of 9/11. The parks were empty in October. I can't give a fair opinion on crowds for that time for that reason, but we loved the weather!

I have a ticker! I have a ticker!! I just booked a Las Vegas trip for DH and I. I found that I had enough AA miles for one free ticket, so I went ahead. We go Jul 1-4. I love having a trip to look forward to! I do feel a little guilty that it is w/out the kids, so I will need to get on to booking something w/them right away. We will do Houston and Galveston this summer, before it gets too hot, maybe in June. I better get on it!

DD10 was sick over the weekend, then home from school yesterday, to dr, and is being treated for strep. She's back at school today, full of meds. She's in 4th grade, misses a day, and I feel has a week's worth of homework to make up. I hate to have them miss school for that reason, but have taken them out a few times for our WDW trip, the day before Thanksgiving Break. I figured they would not miss a lot then. We used to have a Fall Break in October, but don't any more. I keep hearing horror stories about missing school in high school, and DD14 will be there next year. YIKES. Makes me feel old!
