Sorry I have been busy getting blood drawn etc.. also DH is home until Friday so he has been taking up alot of time getting errands done. You need to start selling those dresses on Ebay. If I had a little girl I would snatch one up. I am not one to make anything on the sewing machine even though I have one.

Me too! I wish so badly I could sew!
Sorry about all the tests. Please keep us updated on the results!

I am still trying to figure out if SEWER can sew:confused3

Oh and Laura...your DD looked so awesome in that dress! Did you ever get stuck buying the Ebay oneprincess: .

Cammie...that was so nice of you!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! How did I miss this thread???? You guys are talking my language. I will eventually take the time to go back and read all these pages, I promise.
Is this a 12-step program?? Then, let me introduce myself. My name is Mitzi and I'm a control freak and a worry wart, and now I'm worrying about being a control freak -- can I join the party? :rotfl:

Hi Mitzi!!!! We have lots of fun here - in fact, we have "drunk" posting scheduled for Fridays at 9pm eastern time - but some of us start early! :rotfl2:

Kara- A golf cart that's Florida living for you. My DH said if we move
"down south" it would be a must have. How is the room turning out?

Drunk posting tonight? Let me know the time.

TINA HAVE SO MUCH FUN IN DISNEY

Yes, drunk posting around 9ish?

Congrats on the weight loss too. I am usually lucky enough to lose weight there to (on the DDP too). It's all that running around! Good for you!:thumbsup2

Have a fabulous trip TINA! Looking forward to your TR as well!:cool1:

The P's are going to Arizona today...off to the airport in about an hour. See you guys later.

Hopefully we can all be together tonight!

No! I don't think they'd allow that golf cart on our course - snoots! :rotfl2: But I would love it!!!!! Still haven't heard on the house, getting a bit nervous now.

Debbie, hope your P's have a great trip!!! Nice dry heat!

The room is coming along awesome!!!!! I'll take some pics later and post. I broke down and let DH see it yesterday, he actually had some good ideas - who'd a thunk it? :confused3

Drunk posting tonight at 9ish???

Tessa, welcome back!!!!! We missed you!!! Sounds like it was a great trip, can't wait for the photos!!!!

Catch y'all later - time for me to take a shower!

Drunk posting, Fridays at 9 -- too funny! Might just have to sneak in and see the fun!
Thank you Jillian, Debbie and Kara for the warm welcomes. We are 3 weeks away from Disney and I'm on pins and needles that something is going to happen before our trip -- dislocated limbs, viruses, plane delays....the possibilities are endless. how am I ever gonna make it 21 more days???
Maybe a drunk posting is exactly what I need. ;)

You're getting in the same day we leave and I think the same day Laura leaves too!!!! We were just at POR in March - nice resort!!!!

:worship: Whoohooooo!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: party:

That is awesome news!!

:welcome: Mitzi. we can burn thru pages fast. We're glad you're here

Off to the dollar store to find zip top baggies. Found an idea for easier dressing of DD. Have each outfit in a ziptop bag and let her pick on bag. That way no mismatched outfits and limited arguments. (at least that's what the OP said:rotfl: )

Add me to your list of warm welcomes Mitzi! Hope you can stick around - we're a fun bunch (if I do say so myself!;) )

Laura - Good idea about the outfits in baggies. I've read about alot of families that do that - say it works like a charm!

Kara - Doing the happy dance for you!:dance3:

Drunk posting at 9pm - I'll be there! But, as Kara suggested, I may get a jump-start on all of you!:drinking1

Ok - decided to skip the mall today; got an idea for what to hide away in my girls' luggage when they leave tonite. (Kara - I thought about doing the candy wrappers but was afraid of them getting too smushed in the bottom of the suitcase.:confused3 ) Anyway, got them both a card that I will write a little message in; then I'm going to wrap up a bottle of my perfume. It's their favorite perfume of mine that I wear - bought it in Norway in Epcot. My girls love when I wear it because they say it reminds them of us being in Disney together. I'll just tell them if they're feeling sad and missing me, to just spray some on themselves. What do you think? Goofy?

Cammie I love that idea. Scents can bring back all sorts of good memories. I remember my crazy aunt when ever I smell HeavenScent.

Yikes - didn't realize I missed a whole page of posts!

Tessa - Welcome back! Glad to hear you had such a wonderful time at our favorite place in the world!:cloud9: Sorry about the snow troubles - glad it didn't affect the rest of your trip too much! Can't wait to see pix!:hyper:

Jillian - You need drunk-posting tonite; sounds like you have not had a fun week with all the tests you've had done. Be here or be square, girl!

Debbie - Wish I could fly to you too. I can't affort to fly anywhere during this time of year. But, it's nice we all have the DIS - it's like we're all visiting each other together.

And, btw, you or Kara need to post a link to where you're getting all of these new smilies - they're cracking me up!

I think I'm ditching my weather thingy - it's always wrong!

This morning, it read 65 degrees - which was right; it's reading 60 degrees for right now - which is soooo wrong! It's a beautiful 78 today!

I'm doing this too this trip!

I might not be able to type by 9pm!!! :rotfl2:

I like the idea!!!! Plus, it will make them feel extra special that they share the same perfume at Mom! Yeah, everytime I smell Jergens Aloe lotion it reminds me of a certain Spring Break in Daytona Beach.... :rolleyes1 We'll just leave it at that since this is a family board! :rotfl2:

See y'all tonight!

Alright ladies I am packed and ready to go. DD5 and I are going to go down for a nap until DD8 gets off the bus and then it's pack the car time. Where the heck did this day go. I hit Walmart and picked up the Disney Magical Jewels game for the DS, Jonas from Veggie Tales and Mr. Magorium's wonder emporium.

So I honestly think I've got everything. I'm bringing my laptop so you'll see pictures as quick as I can download them. I don't think I'll be posting again until I'm at Disney. So I hope all of you have a wonderful week!!

yes that's right ear infection and we leave tomorrow!! ..
Has anyone else noticed that most of us end up with ear problems before the trip? Honestly, DS has only had two ear infections in his life! Kinda odd...

Girls are leaving tonight to go away with Dad and his new wifey.:sad1: ?
Cammie, I was just thinking of that today. How does your older DD handle the trips? Did you find something cool? You know, I'm sure just a note from you will do the trick. I'm certain that would be the most perfect thing  , so don't stress out too much shopping at the mall.

OK, looks like the house is sold.
DH found a golf cart !
GREAT NEWS! Congrats on the house selling. I am so glad for you! YOU MUST DRUNK POST TONIGHT! I'm actually laughing because this is the first night that I can actually drunk post!!! Yay me.

Hiya all we're back!!!
By the way I LOST 4 pounds ON HOLIDAY!!!! QUOTE]I kept wondering if I would run into you. Every time I heard the brittish accent, I tried to find the DIS tag, but saw none. :confused3 As for you losing weight, YAY for you!

Hi everyone!
Welcome!

Have each outfit in a ziptop bag and let her pick on bag. That way no mismatched outfits and limited arguments. )
I actually did this! I then put my outfits and his outfits together in a big 2.5 gallon and that way he could pick and we coordinated! He really enjoyed it, and so did I! I HIGHLY recommend it. That is what I was talking about that I sat on them and then zipped them up and they were flat! :rotfl:

Anyway, got them both a card that I will write a little message in; then I'm going to wrap up a bottle of my perfume. It's their favorite perfume of mine that I wear - bought it in Norway in Epcot. That is the perfect idea! AWWWW! So sweet! You are such an amazing mom!

Alright ladies I am packed and ready to go. DD5!
Have a great time!!!

Well, I go to have my massage and for the first time in my life, it was a guy. :scared1: That was a little weird. Okay, a lot. But it ended up really good. I guess he specialized in neuromuscular massage, so I walked out of there feeling so great! I even fell asleep at 9 pm and didn't wake up until 5:30. Slept right through the little bit of the quake we felt here. According to my neighbors, we just had blinds rattling.

I took DD to take her 1 yr pics. She is now 13 mo. old. :rolleyes1 It is windy here so I have practically no hopes for more than 1 good shot - if that. I dressed them both for pictures together and neither wanted to cooperate at the same time so I gave up.

Got on the scale again this morning. I have got to find motivation - somehow and get going again. For some reason I have lost my weight loss mojo.

I have the travel bug bigtime. I want to go somewhere. I want to go to the beach but I am not looking forward to 7 hours in the car with the kids. I want to go to an indoor waterpark. I wouldn't mind driving up to Columbus to take the kids to the zoo, or even Memphis for that matter. I guess I just have wanderlust.

Guess what - my ear issue is back! I guess I must be allergic to TN. DH and I are really thinking of moving. He has a great job here, but we could request a transfer to Orlando or Atlanta (which is a no). Orlando is a maybe. I asked my mom if she could watch the kids for one stinking hour for us to go out to dinner - she said she'd rather not. Maybe NEXT MONTH! The woman lives down the street. :sad2: MARK MY WORDS - I WILL KEEP MY GRANDKIDS ANYTIME THAT I'M ASKED WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE! I just totally get frustrated by her. We are here becuase she wanted to "help" and she sees them maybe twice or three times a month. I could WALK to her house. Every time we talk about moving, it is all drama, she flips out saying we'd be "Ripping her heart out" and that we need to make sure there is a "mothers quarters". :headache: I'll shut up now, it just really gets me mad some days!

Hope everyone is doing well! I've got to work on uploading my pics.

Renee - so sorry to hear about your troubles with your Mom. I'm lucky in that both my parents and my inlaws are always good about watching DD. I hate that she gives you the guilt trip if you talk about moving, but doesn't help while you're there. What's the point? :confused3

Come drunk post with us tonight! Oh, and Samantha Brown at 9, right? I'm actually starting to feel not so hot.... I will not get sick, I will not get sick....

EXACTLY - What is the point of us being here. I mean, if you don't want to watch them, that is fine, but don't guilt us into staying. We have never had a babysitter either because every time we schedule one, she goes into such a fit for DAYS that we just put whatever off to get her to stop.

Next offer for Orlando may find me packing my bags and just telling her as the moving truck gets here. No more than she visits, She'd never know!!!!

Remeber DSIL that works at OS Hosp? She works Medical Critical, so she is always exposed to all sorts of things. She swares by Ester C (super Vitamin C in a formula your body absorbs well) and Airborn. You might want to give one or both a try if you get to feeling worse! I hope it doesn't come to that!

Off to shower. DH wants to go to dinner tonight. I had to call and tell him it would be with the kids when he really wanted a date night. :rolleyes1

Well I told Hertz where they could go. No help they were. Unforunately the cheapest rate I could get was thru Hertz Simply Wheelz progam. 140/wk all taxes included. Debbie it still beat all the other codes I could find. I am really bummed but I hadn't really budgeted a car rental because we thought we had enough points. Glad I got $$ of the disney rental.

Gotta run, need to pick DD up from school. Talk to you all tonight from work. i'll be thinking of you while sober posting :(

Renee - Sorry about your date night.

I can sympathize with you on the mother issue. Mine makes me :furious: !
We've just started talking again after about 4 years of silence between me and my parents(obviously made easier by the fact that I live 5 hours away!)

Anyway, won't bore you with the details but, suffice it to say, my parents weren't real "comfortable" around my special-needs DD -- and they made it obvious. It just became too painful for me to watch and I just cut them out. I'm the one who extended the olive branch last year - thought it was for the best for my girls to have more family around. My parents are a little better with DD - but not much. It is what it is. What I've learned is that what matters most is what me and my girls need or want. I'm no longer influenced by what others may want me to do. And I don't fall for the guilt thing anymore. I always do what's best for the three of us and if the family doesn't agree - well, poo to them!

I say, if you and hubby want a date night (and it's important that you do!), then go get that babysitter. Waiting around for your mom will just build up your resentment and you and hubby will miss out on many chances for alone time! (but no date night tonite - you have to drunk post with us!:flower3: )

Kara - Keep meaning to post this but kept forgetting. What are the dates you're in WDW? I'm asking because there's a special "preview" of the new "Toy Story Mania" ride at DHS for just AP holders - the dates were May 10-12.
