Yeah, Kings Island is more of a big kid thrill park, but I've heard great things about Dollywood actually! I used to work with some folks who always went up there with their young grandkids and love it! I forgot you were in Tennessee, why did I think you were in KY? :confused3

OK, it's 79 degrees and I'm freezing!!!!!

Okay I have to take the baton an bop you for that one. :lmao: 79 and freezing? Yikes FL is getting to you. You must not be feeling well. Dh swears by the Zicam swabs. My I just take a tyneol PM and crash for the night. Heaven forbid I would have to wake up during the night but I feel great in the AM.

Get better. :flower3:

Trying again...

that's cute. I didn't realize you were in TN also. I have only been there once. I was to great tri city reigon of Johnson City, Bristol and I forgot the last one. We used to have a call center in Johnson City back when I worked for Fingerhut.

Cute Renee! He looks so excited!!!! I think it was sweet too how much he missed his Daddy. I'm sure DH loved that, too, huh?

TGIF!! You chatter girls! :chat: I was reading what I thought was the last page, and all of a sudden, there's another page!

Drunk posting -- I am going to pop in, after I get my nails done and we go to the Y. I just started getting them done after many years, and Wed was my 2 week point. They are looking awful! We Y'd Wed and Thurs night, and I thought that would be our 2 week days, then we'd hit one of the weekend days, but noooooo, DD and DH want to go again tonight. I asked them to keep me motivated, and that they are! Other DD is going to a slumber party. She's bummed because she can't go w/us! Crazy, and I know that the momentum will wear off, but I am taking advantage while I can! I am only doing 30 mins of treadmill/elliptical, and I wait in the lobby for them to finish! I mostly just want to tone. Eating a hamburger and sweet potato fries at lunch is not going to help! At least it was the mini burger....It's so hard to be good!

Cammie - Your idea of packing the cologne is a great idea! I love it! I bet that your girls will love it. You sound like Super Mom. I have to write a note on DD10's napkin for lunch AND snack at school every day. She saves them all in a pocket in her lunchbox and asks that I not throw them away. I have to sneakily pull a couple out every couple of days! She has to know! I am not allow to write on DD14's napkins, so I tell her I just kiss them. We're that way, too!

Kara - Your room is gorgeous! Have you done interior decorating? Congrats on the house and the golf cart. How fun!

Tina - Have fun in WDW!! You Dis while you are there??

Renee - I'm w/ya on going somewhere. We haven't been anywhere since WDW in November. DH is dying for a Las Vegas trip w/out the kiddos. I want to plan a family trip for the summer. We're talking about Houston/Galveston or San Antonio, but right now, it's ALL TALK, and it's driving me crazy! Nothing happens unless I plan it, and I know that we need to get so much done in our house I am trying not to spend the money on a trip, but I may just buckle. House repairs are not going to happen either, unless I get them taken care of. I dearly love DH, but he loves to tell people that I wear the pants in the family, and I tell him that someone has to! Another story for another time...My DDs want to go to this indoor water park/hotel place nearby that just opened. It looks really neat, but it is very expensive! Of course, they want the bigger, cooler room, and it's about $300 for one night. I would rather just go to a regular water park and spend that much towards some kind of trip. We'll see....IMO, The beach w/the kids sounds fabulous!!!

Mitzi - Welcome!!:cheer2:

Tessa - Welcome back!? I am so glad you all had fun despite your rough start! It sounds like everything else worked out for you. Remember me?! I still need to read your pre-trip report!! I cannot keep up w/these gals. I think I've decided just to pop in when I can. It's impossible to keep up!

Debbie - I love the naughty smileys! Since I am technically challenged, I need to take a look at the link and learn how to use them.

Hi:hippie: to everyone else!!

I'm still here. Had to get DD of the school van; now trying to catch up with the posts.

I'm sorry about your issues. It is tough. Dating I always had the worst time. I had an aunt (who was honestly more like my sister since I was always at my grandmas) who was special needs. She was basically functioning on a 2-3 year old level with everything - which I always thought was the greatest thing. She was so much fun. But boyfriends that I would bring around would sometimes act weird and that hurt. I can only imagine if that were my parents. Actually, I can so see my mom & stepdad being like that. Well, I'm in agreement with you. Poo on them! They don't know the magic they are missing! :snooty: It is sad it is such a big loss for them, and they don't even realize it!!!! Good for you to put your daughters first and try to give them that relationship even though it is less than ideal. Such a good mom!

You are very strong woman and I am glad to be able to call you a DIS friend. :goodvibes Your girls are lucky to have a mom that is so strong.

Cammie, you sound like the kinda gal who won't take $#%& when it comes to your family and I totally admire that! You go girl! :thumbsup2

Aw, thanks girls. But I'm not doing anything more than the rest of you would do also. We're all mama bears, aren't we? Our claws come out pretty fast to protect our cubbies!

Renee - Toddlers at the liquor store? Hmmm, let me see ..... I'm the one who walks around Epcot, sipping alcohol while pushing her daughter in her wheelchair .... so, yeah, I think that's fine! Hey, maybe if your DS REALLY causes a ruckus in there, someone will feel sorry for you and buy you a bottle of something!:rotfl:

Laura - If you're going to be working every Friday night, you're going to have to get a little creative: take a Diet coke can, dump about 1/3 of it out, then fill with rum! This will help to make those phone calls less irritating!

Kara - I'm seriously so impressed with how much you accomplish in such a short time. Your room looks amazing! You must get thyself on a plane to Boston and do the same for me!;)

I love those cartoon caricutures(sp?) of the three of you in the Mickey ears. I know I've seen these on the Design boards - do you give them a description of yourself, and then they create the picture? Do you know the one I'm talking about?

Kara - You really should try the Airborne. The times I've tried it, it's nipped what I had in the bud. Maybe it was in my mind, but it worked! Or, you could kill the bug w/some alcohol tonight! I hope you feel better! Moms can't be sick! (Doesn't that stink?)

I know! I hit post reply to respond to some posts, and a whole new page has filled up already!

Have you guys started drinking yet? It's almost 5pm!

HAPPY HOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3: :yay:

Pam - you must join us! Cute story about the napkins in the lunchbox. Younger DD used to do that too - but, now, at age 12, she's too cool!

Love it, Renee! Your DS looks older than 3!! I like the bigger pics better. The small ones are too small. Very cute! We loved the ASMo when we stayed there. We've only stayed at value. We don't ever stay in our room but to sleep and get ready to go!!

Yeah - bigger pix! Must I remind you - most of us here are middle-aged; don't want to be grabbing for the spectacles to look at the pix!

I have on bright red polish right now that is chipping and covered in blue paint! It looks terrible!

You're doing awesome!!!

Interior decorating??? :rotfl2: I get creative at times, but my DH makes me call my girlfriend in SC anytime I want to do anything dramatic to the living areas of our house. She should be a decorator she's so good. But I'm "allowed" to go wild in rooms that are not directly visible from the front door! :rotfl2:

Tina - Have fun in WDW!! You Dis while you are there??

I will have my laptop while I'm there and will probably spring for the internet - anyone know if POP has internet? Is it wireless?

Aw, thanks girls. But I'm not doing anything more than the rest of you would do also. We're all mama bears, aren't we? Our claws come out pretty fast to protect our cubbies!

Oh yeah! Just ask my DD's school principal! :rotfl2:

I can see it now, she'll be slurring and cursing out customers!!! :lmao:

Kara - I'm seriously so impressed with how much you accomplish in such a short time. Your room looks amazing! You must get thyself on a plane to Boston and do the same for me!;)

Again, not the norm for me, just a little spurt of creativity!!

I love those cartoon caricutures(sp?) of the three of you in the Mickey ears. I know I've seen these on the Design boards - do you give them a description of yourself, and then they create the picture? Do you know the one I'm talking about?

Yes, basically you just give her the hair color and ages of the kids. BTW, one of the designers does this with a wheelchair, too! I've seen the posts and it's really cute!

Drunk posting is so fun, but I think I'll be snoozing by then at this rate. :sad2:

Kara - I know, I did happen to see one in a wheelchair. Do you remember who does them or what they're called? Next, I'll have to convince the 12yr.old to wear them!

It's only almost 4 here! I am still at work! Just asked if I can leave at 5. 45 min drive home, family stuff, nails, Y...I'll be joining late. I'll peek in! I'm a lightweight. One drink will do me in! Cheap date!!

They think they're too cool! I do remember being that age though...I have to keep reminding myself.

Yeah - bigger pix! Must I remind you - most of us here are middle-aged; don't want to be grabbing for the spectacles to look at the pix!

I am wearing trifocals! YIKES.

You all are too fast! I am doing this in between working! (YUCK!)

Kara - We love POP. Have you been?
