In-laws: "Na,na, Na, na, Na, na, Na, na -- hey, hey, GOOD-BYE! :wave2:
:dancer: <----- Kara doing the Happy Dance!

Seriously, if you put that Lost DVD in, you will not move for the rest of the day! Each episode ends so thrillingly, you just HAVE to watch the next one! And, you'll definitely need an alcoholic beverage in hand - soooo tense! PLUS, more importantly, you'll need a drool bucket because our man Sawyer is on quite a bit during the first season - shirtless! Embarassed to admit, we watched about 4 hours straight of season 2 on Sunday. My DD wasn't feeling well - bad head cold - and she just wanted to snuggle on the couch. She's so into it now; we have 4 more episodes of season 2 to watch but I swore I'm not buying the third season until it goes on sale. But, who am I kidding?

You know, I always overplan. That is just me. I obsess about getting everything optimal. Then I do the oddest thing. I crouch down and explain to DS - hey, mommy has this planned. It should be cool because XYZ. What do you think? Sometimes he says YEAH, sometimes, he has ideas of his own - and I'm fine with that too. I guess I'm a big walking contradiction. I'm doing all this, fully expecting to come back and report to you all on my 4 days at the pool. :lmao:

I will never ever eat those disgusting "biscuits" (tasteless scones) with "gravy" (white goop) again!!!!

Tessa
Honestly, this is one of my favorite foods, and I have NEVER had them worth eating at any dining location. You need someone to home cook them for you. If the goop is made correctly, it is so flavorful. And the tasteless scones need to be made with bacon grease and buttermilk to be right. SO... just keep in mind not to judge it by what you get eating out, because I agree completely with you that it is NASTY!

I'm glad you aren't going through Heathrow. I was watching BBC America the other night - on the first day with all the headaches. I wondered about you and Erin and if you would go through that!

The inlaws are leaving, the inlaws are leaving!!!!
So glad that you are in the clear today. Are you suppose to be taking Bella today?

Not much going on here. All is quiet. I need to start packing soon I guess. I bought some tubs yesterday to divide the kids toys into "days" and keep some of the clutter down. they just strow everything to the point you can't walk - all in 30 minutes! Maybe that would keep the toys "new" to them. We will see. I'm gearing up to downsize them massively. DH is setting up an ebay account for me, so I need to get that going. Always something..

Too funny!!!! :rotfl2:

DH is chickening out now. I'm so ready though - he was up 7 times with her last night!!!! What other signs do we need? :confused3

I'm getting ready to ride my bike up to the pool for an hour or so. That way I get in my exercise AND relaxation! I hope to feel better when I come back (although I feel fine now that the family is GONE!) and tonight is DD and I's weekly night out! DH works late. Yippee!

Cammie - how do you get photos in your avatar? No matter what I try, it tells me that the file is too large! :confused3

Kara - I can't tell you how long I've been trying to change my avatar; I didn't have this much trouble the first time. Anyone I posted the following thread on the Tech board; a very nice DISer - Dan Murphy - helped. Of course, he first tried to give me instructions to get it to the right size, but when I couldn't he did it for me. I seemed to have the same problem - too big.

OK, back later - I'm headed to lunch now!!!!! :lmao:

LOOK, as the inlaws were leaving, FIL dumped his entire cup of coffee all over my foyer!!!! Yeah, it seeped into the carpet in the living room, too. Good stuff. And MIL would take off one paper towel at a time, to try to stop the flow of a full cup of coffee! You're right, Tammie, how in the h*** did my DH make it to adulthood???? Or maybe now I know where all his "issues" come from!!!!

Well, off to work now. I had a lot of fun reading and writing - y'all have a great Tuesday!!!!! In fact, I apparently had too much fun because the DIS nazis won't let me post until I take out 5 images (can only have 25 and I have 30 right now - oops!).

I'm sorry to hear they spilled on the floor. Just more of reason to get tile? :goodvibes

I too wonder how DH is alive after MIL raised him. Now when you go to MIL's house you have to move her dish soap.

I wish I had a more witty response. I love the humor. It has been a great pick me up.

I am actually flying from Heathrow but thankfully not from the new terminal :scared1: that would not be the start to my holiday that i have "planned" :rotfl2:

I like the biscuits just not the gravy to be honest

Tessa & Erin - So excited for you both - less than a week!:yay: :yay: When do you both get back? Hope you both take lots & lots of pictures because we like to look at them here! And, btw, made yorkshire pudding with my roast beef for Sunday dinner - YUMMY! That's probably the last time for the season; once April rolls around, I usually crack open the grill for most dinners.

I go on Saturday 5th and Leave on the 19th but because of time difference don't get back home till early Sunday morning  but let's not talk of returning home just yet :rotfl2:

Hash browns however - the US ones outstrip the UK ones ANY time!!!

Erin - you getting excited???? I am!!!! Especially since it is sooooooo DULL over here right now..... I've cancelled the papers, photocopied the passports, cleaned the sunglasses, paid the credit card bills :scared:- today am going to print off the opening hours of all the parks to take with us..... I had my hair trimmed this morning -skipped the colour though - I am not paying out to have it fade in all the sunshine out there -probably jinxed it now - mind you, the 10 day forecast out there covers the start of our trip now and it is OKish - some thunderstorms but 29 degC, link is below http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/tenday/USFL0372?from=36hr_topnav_business

Tessa

Ooh yes those are my favourite Hash Browns when i do them at home thats how i do them too

Oh am too excited for words my Dd is packing crazy and we have all last minute things and all ready for friday straight from school to go to the hotel :yay:
You go Saturday don't you Tessa?

We'll have to take Erin and Tessa to Fort Wildnerness for S'Mores, too! :thumbsup2 I think they may have a new appreciation for "digestive biscuits."

Oh this is on my list for this time .. Have you done the Campfire sing along? And movie?

Hi Girls!
Aren't we so lucky to have each other.... who else would find us so amusing!

DS had his 6 month speech eval and it went as expected. For some reason my son just doesn't want to say words correctly. He's smart. His language score is high. He just speaks a language all of his own! Of course I usually understand him but that's about it!
Tammie...aren't you coming by me next week!
Kara…you do know if you have too much fun on your end we will vote you off the thread! Lose the weather, the pool, the fun neighbors, etc or you’re gone! OK OK OK the in-law visit and doggie problems will probably get ya another week here but watch it!

Well I can’t stay long because in all honesty I would never leave. It’s too fun here!!!

Cammie...feeling better for now or are you in the denial phase?
You go with the LIVE365! You will LOVE it! Mine is on right now!

GFATP I can’t believe it! You are almost there and Renee come on you might as well already be there ya lucky duck!!!! I am jealous and I don’t like to be jealous of anyone.

Do you think Jillian is thinking of us????

BTW LOVE the new bachelor! He is smoking!

OK, please don't kick me off! I love it here - feels like home... :cloud9:

I feel really good today. I rode my bike to the pool - 10 minutes to get there. Even though it's flat here, that means no coasting, so I was pedaling all 2 miles. Then 11 minutes back into the wind. Read a little bit of my book, "Beach Girls" (it's a couple of years old, but a good summer read!) by Luann Rice. Just at the pool for about 25 minutes - enough to get hot but not burned (although I did get a bit pink and I think it's from the extra 21 minutes riding the bike that I didn't take into consideration!). I feel so destressed now, that may become my daily exercise. Four miles of bike riding, not too bad, then pure vegetation at the pool. The water is still too cold to get in though, so the sweating didn't even get a cool reward!!!

Then I see DD there. I hear what I know is her shreiking as she comes down the water slide (kids don't care how cold the water is!). She barely gives me a wave, like I'm embarassing her! :confused3 Oh, how I hate that she's growing up.... but at the same time I'm proud of her because she is very independent.

Before I went up to the pool I was feeling a little "off." Not sick really, just not well either. Hope I'm not coming down with something - probably just these stupid allergies. I was talking with our builder today and he's from Maine originally - he's been here 28 years and still can't get used to the pollen down here! It's worse than anything I've ever had!!

I doubt Jillian is thinking of us.... but you never know! I will probably have to check in with y'all in the evenings.... I just can't let DH know or he'll be so mad at me!!! Our last trip in 2006 he was constantly checking email on his blackberry. I got sooo mad at him! Of course, that was while we were in lines, or walking around the parks, not in the room at night....... Does POP have high speed internet? But now wireless, right?

Hi Girls!
Cammie...feeling better for now or are you in the denial phase?
You go with the LIVE365! You will LOVE it! Mine is on right now!

Ummm - denial. If I don't think about it, it's not happening, right?

Actually, I'm really feeling a little better. I'm telling you - I do it every time - have the emotional breakdown, get it out of my system, then back to normal. Nice to have you guys as sounding boards!

Ok - NOW I'm off to do LIVE365!

Listening to Tapestry of Nations right now. Ahhh, in my happy place! :cloud9: I like this kind of music better than songs from the movies. We bought the CD last time we were there and cannot find it anywhere! DD and I knew the song from Future World (Tomorrow's Child) and Universe of Energy, just to name a few. I really need to find this!!! I'm becoming frantic.

Hi Girls!
Renee come on you might as well already be there ya lucky duck!!!!

BTW LOVE the new bachelor! He is smoking!

I KNOW! It is crazy for me to think that it will be so soon. Time to start seriously packing. DS wants to bring Woody, Buzz (of course not the two small ones he has, but the big talking one), Tigger and Pooh. Good grief!!! And "Triceratops" too, the big honking Dino that he sleeps with. It is enough for a carryon!!!!

Oh, I've always been like :snooty: I don't get why people watch the Bachelor. They are just always so so in my book. Then for some odd reason I watched the first one... popcorn:: :) Just keep talking dude. I don't even care what you are saying. Just keep talking.

Cammie - great advice on the avatar - I got under 100x100 in photobucket and then sent them to one of the designers on the Creative Designs thread and pm'd her to downsize for me. Hopefully.....

Poor DD - she got some clothes for her bday (I got her the HSM shirt and skort when we were there last month) in size 6/6X and everything is soooo big on her. She absolutely has the tiniest butt I've ever seen!! She can't hold up a waistband! So I have to take those, plus a couple of swimsuits, to get altered tonight. Then she wants to go to Target to spend the rest of her gift card from Grandma/Grandpa (my parents, the normal ones! :rotfl2: ).

Just got delivery of the t-shirts I ordered to do these matching shirts for Disney. Since MIL ruined the one, I couldn't get the design back since my hard drive crashed. So she actually paid for all new shirts! I just have to do all the transfers and print them out, then iron on. Yuck! It was fun the first time....

Kara - Did you send your pic to the Tech board or the Creative board? I posted on the tech board about my problem with the avatar - think you need a "computer" techie to help you.

I actually PM'd one of the gals on the creative board that helps me a lot. Since Dan told you that you need a photo program, I thought she might be able to get it resized for me, and then I'll try to change it. If not, I'm off to the techie board. The techies are so smart they scare me! :scared1:

Okay I am going to get all techie on you. I believe what they are doing is decreasing the file size by reducing the numbers of pixels in the pic. I have been in la-la land while you have been talking about this. Sorry. If you want you can PM me the photo or e-mail it to me and I will reduce it and then send it back. I use photoshop to do that. I have yet to figure out how to retouch my pictures to look like the ones in the magazines. I'd love to look thinner by the stroke of a mouse. :lmao:

'm going to go over 100 posts soon! Yikes!

I saw the that my tag line changed. I am now a Mouseketeer!! :)

OK, Laura, now you're just showing off - I see you changed your avatar!!! :lmao:
