Whew, Renee - my head is spinning! Looks like you guys managed to hit most of what you planned. Sorry to hear DS was scared on some of the rides (esp. WTP, sorry, that was my suggestion!), but at least he tried them, right? My question to you - did you enjoy the teacups as much as he did?:scared:

How did both of you feel during your trip? Over your illnesses ok?

Great suggestions also. I, too, usually stick wet washclothes in a ziploc to take to the park. I also bring our big Disney misting fan water bottle from a few years back. And, good point, about applying the sunblock to the part in your hair. I always get burnt there! I actually found a sunscreen for scalps - sprays on like a hairspray; think BananaBoat made it. Also remember to protects those ears too!

And, you poor thing, having to deal with the meltdown on the plane! And the cranky man next to you - :headache: typical! What does the guy expect - being on a flight out of Orlando? Anyway - good for you for taking the trip! You did it; you both had a good time; now, when are you going back?

Okay, how do I get that stupid weather ticker to work? I have been fooling around with it and no luck. You guys are doing the webpage badge - right?

Have no idea - can't help you there!:confused3 (I think Debbie put mine in my siggie for me!) I want to know how Pam got hers so small! I'm really getting sick of seeing my GIANT FLASHING TEMPS ONLY IN THE 50s!

Oh, no Cammie! Don't feel bad. I meant to add you in on my tips, BUT I FORGOT :lmao: see - my mind these days. :sad2: Anyway, you SAVED me. I rememberd the order that you told me. WtP, PP, PoC. When WtP was not great, I just skipped the others. Actually I explained to DS they would be dark like WtP and could have pirates, etc. He opted no, and I said okay. I was so happy to know that ahead of time. SO A BIG THANKS TO YOU!

I actually think maybe my eardrum ruptured. It was insaine on the trip down, and I have been getting a lot of dried blood out. I went to bed Sat night with it killing me and woke up with it really okay and unless the wind blew in it. I have read that with kids with ear infections, so I'm guessing that is what happened. It feels better now at least!

I was so ready to come home Tues. I REALLY got frustrated at DHS. I think it was just exhaustion. I told DH that we went to sleep most nights at 11-12 and were up by 6:30-7 am. We only napped one day. It was crazy. All but one night we were in the room by 8 though. I told him I would still do the same amount of stuff, but stay an extra day or so to make the pace a little slower and allow more pool time too! I would love to go back in the fall. I think that DD might not be ready for it though. We went to the mall today to get shoes and just the lady approaching us sent her into fits. I don't know how she will do with Characters. Sesame Street Live always comes here in Nov, and I will take her this year. We get front row seats and DS loves it. That will be a good judge of how she will do I guess. DS could spend the whole time with little rides and meeting all the characters though! I definately would like to do Epcot with him. Everyone said they have the most Characters. I really didn't find any at MK :confused3. I didn't do Toontown since it was just Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Daisy, and then the Princesses. We forgot about Buzz, but def on our next trip we will have to do more Char hunting!

Renee - sounds like you had a wonderful time! Thanx for the TP so quickly! Now where are the darn pictures? :rotfl2:

What is PTD? And TS at AK? Oh, wait Triceratops Spin? Can't figure out PTD though....

Only .4 lbs? I'm impressed! But did you really eat veggies? :rotfl: I'm so glad that DS was so good, too. Isn't it amazing how they adapt? We expect to see a new WDW ticker soon!!!!!

Shorter trips are hard - you feel so compelled to try to get alot done and you do run yourself ragged! I know that's what's going to happen to me & DD when we go in June for five days but - she's 12, so I'm just going to yell at her and tell her to suck it up! (actually, I'm afraid I'll be the one who needs to be sucking up - I'm old!)

Staying at a monorail resort next time will certainly help. It will be so much easier to zip back and forth from the parks for some breaks. And, when we're there for a week, we schedule 1-2 days that are just exclusive pool days - spending about 5 hours just swimming and lounging and not in a rush to go anywhere. We usually schedule a later dinner at Epcot on those nights - so relaxing!:goodvibes

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: That is DH favorite thing to tell everyone! :rotfl2: Thanks for the tip about pool & epcot dinner. Sounds like a nice combo I'd like to try! DH 40th is coming up in a few years... I'm already thinking about the two of us sneaking away for a day at Discovery Cove and a few days at Disney :rolleyes1 Wouldn't he LOVE that as a suprise birthday.

Now where are the darn pictures? :rotfl2:

I can't figure out how to put the darn weather ticker up and you expect me to know how to post PICTURES. :rotfl2: Tell me how, and I will try it.

PTD... I wonder if that is a typo for PHD (Playhouse Disney?) maybe???? I don't know :rotfl2:

Veggies - believe it or not, all my plate was mostly veggies (which leads me to think they must use LOTS of butter and oil). I only had half a portion of meat each dinner (half of a deck of cards size portion) and one roll. Only 3 drinks the whole trip. Two Bahama Mamas and a Mud Slide Martini  . Desserts - maybe 1/4 cup of bread pudding, 1 Dole Whip (10 bites), half of a Mickey Rice Crispy Treat, hummmm.. and popcorn. 1/2 a box maybe. That was it!!!!! Lots of salad with FF dressing. We had those personal pizzas one night, I only had 1 1/2 slices, mostly salad. :confused3 Breakfast was fruit and two Mickey waffles and two slices of bacon, so I dunno. I would have expected to have lost 2 lbs or so with all that walking and no sodas, oh well!

Oh - and that Mickey Oreo thingy at the Contemp and a little of the Choc Cake at WCC (YUMMY!). I guess I did have a lot of dessert!

Wait - did I miss the post where you said you were dieting at Disney?

How were you so good with all that food? And only 3 drinks?:scared1: Man, my touring plans includes spots to hit with the drinks I want to try!

Renee, you did great eating! I wouldn't have had that much willpower! Good for you. PTD you said was your longest wait at 20 minutes? Maybe Playhouse Disney. I understand your frustration with DHS - if you're not really into the shows and the two big thrill rides, it can be very intimidating. DH and I always get so mad at ourselves cause we backtrack all day at that park! Next time you go if you just plan a full day there and take your time, I'm sure you'd enjoy it more. There are tons of characters to be found there, too.

Once you download your pics onto your computer, the easiest thing to do is set up an account on photobucket.com. Then upload the images there, resize them to message board size, then copy the IMG link and paste directly in your post. Did that make sense? Did I say that right? Anyone, anyone??? Beuhler, Beuhler.... :rotfl2:

Glad you're back, Renee!

Not that I didn't want to Cammie. I just figured that I would start getting some nasty looks out with my 3 year old and boozing it up. I got one and took it back to the room in the stroller cup holder and had a nice older lady shoot me down with her looks. :scared1:

I didn't want to be too bad since I'm still technically dieting. I need to get this weight off. I didn't want to go too overboard at Disney. All that said, I've always preferred veggies over meat, so that part isn't hard. It is generally the bread that gets me! Epcot would have been REALLY hard for me with all that food and the yummy drinks to try. Good think they had the flower fest to keep me out. :rotfl2:

I guess I'm not as much of an idiot as I thought! :rotfl2:

DS asked to take a nap today. He just woke up and came upstairs and went back to sleep on the chair! :lmao:

Aah - who cares? You know you're a good mom!

I don't even notice the looks I'm SURE I'm getting walking around WS, pushing my DD in a wheelchair with one hand and sipping my Grey Goose Lemon slushie in the other!:rotfl:

Glad you're back, Renee!
Okay, yes - PHD. I forgot you have your nephew going too. I would honestly just get at the back of the line next time and not wait. I was just wanting to make sure we got in since that was the only showtime we could catch before we had to leave.

I will keep it in mind about DHS next time. There did seem to be more characters there than anywere, but I didn't figure that out until they were closing the lines down for lunch. Then it was time to go, so we missed that. On our Photopass, I think we will only have 1 picture with the blue Incredibles guy, 1 of Lilo and Stitch, and the rest will be just thoses scene shots. Since we saw so many at the ADRs, I didn't get into the lines and didn't realize until we were leaving DHS that they had Photopass at the Char Lines :headache: Oh well - lesson for next time.

Thanks for the kuddos on the food. My neighbor who had her DD 1 month after me was at the mall today. I ran into her and havent really seen her since the fall. She was SO SKINNY. Size 8 maybe. I'm a stuffed in 14 :rotfl2: and we were both the same size in the fall. That made me really want to get off my butt and do something - rather than playing Muffin all day. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Yeah, that lady would have done a self arrest on you and charged you with DUI!!! :rotfl: I am so glad to be done with the nursing now. I can't wait to get a little tipsy. I got to thinking and it has been about 2 1/2 years!!! :scared1:

Funny you mention tipsy! I'm going out on a date with DH tonight - first time in 7 years! and I plan on getting at least one drink in.

OK, here's a little tease as to what the invitation border is looking like in my Disney room. And the second pic is the boat that DH was on fishing on Sunday - would you go out 53 miles into the middle of the ocean, no land in sight???? I think NOT!
