I just killed a freakin SCORPION!!!! Tell me again why I moved to Florida???? OK, it was at most 1" long, but it was a SCORPION!!!! I don't do well with bugs period, then this on top of the 3 black widows in November. I will be calling an exterminator in the morning.

My name is Kim and I'm brand new to the boards. Planning and worrying for a trip my family is making in 2011. (We're busy saving so we can go all out! It's DH, DD and DS's first trip to WDW) I live in southern NH and am a SAHM. My DD will be 3 on Friday and my DS is 21 months old. Looking forward to learning more!

I made the big mistake of checking the airfare and of course since we are ALL booked it went down again!!! I know we couldn't take the chance of the flights disappearing but I did NOT want to see it go back down to 219.00 I almost threw up!

Bed Bath & Beyond, Linens and Things..... Walmart also has some Disney stuff, and I think Target, too! I'm heading to BB&B tonight, I'll check out their selection and see if they carry Disney! I'm so excited about your black & white tile, I wanna come work on your bathroom!

I just got the upstairs room all put back together and cleaned up!!! I'm so excited right now......

In spare minutes I am trying to skim thru what I have missed over the past couple of months, and Kara, you were painting in February! You are a superwoman! I covet your homemaking abilities! I have none! Someone described some window coverings w/buttons. I need to get busy and post some pics of my house and my kitchen window covering that my MIL made that I think could be the same ones, pleated w/buttons.

Kara - Your DD is precious! I love the candy covers.

Thanks for the welcome backs everyone. I need to try to visit at least once a day. It's like a soap opera around here. It's too fun to miss too much! I've been good, just struggling w/long work days, long commute and the inability to not be able to do everything that I want to do. Days are just too short, and the weekends fly by! It took it's toll off and on since the holidays and our WDW trip, but I am doing much better now. I was very a little depressed, and I usually try to stay upbeat. I think that worrying about my mom at the beginning of the year did not help. She is doing great now, and is just about fully recovered.

Girls night tonight, w/my neighbor friends. We usually go for Tex Mex and 'ritas! I am NOT the designated driver tonight because we are celebrating my December birthday. We've been out since then, but not to celebrate a birthday. Goofy, I know, but fun.

Laura - We do NOT pack our own beach towels. Maybe if we drove we would, but not when flying. DD complains about what I bring, and I would be booted off the plane if I brought my own beach towels in the suitcase.

Debbie - Stop watching the airfare. (I do the same thing!)

Jillian - Baby Crocs. How cute. I cannot wait to get some for my niece. I love hearing about everyone's little ones. Mine are not so little - 10 and almost 15!

Thanks for the thoughts on the towels. I thought for some reason I needed to bring them. Maybe some other packing list I saw.

We are off to fly a kite. It's so windy I might just turn in to Mary Poppins. Who knows I could fly all the way to Cammie and Jilllian

I think my truck said it was 72 out. It can't last but ahhh I love it.

OK, I am behind, but this is my house, when we had our big (only) snow storm of the season on Mar 6. It is 1465 sq ft - close quarters for the 4 of us!

Not really.(love the smiley, btw). I have a dry, nagging cough which has now given me a headache. Never was able to nap this a.m.; seems I just can't do that anymore; no matter how tired I am, once I'm up - I'm up!

Since I'm dragging today, decided to stay home and tackle the "swapping out the seasonal clothes" chore - which I hate! Thank goodness, I have a spare bedroom upstairs - it's now has clothes strewn all over it and I can just shut the door and not look at it!

Kara - Ok, I need to show you pictures of the window treatments I had made when we moved into this house - paid a small fortune for them and the ones you made are just as nice! Methinks you're in the wrong business! And, your DD is so cute! Has she come around on the BBB appt. yet? Didn' she, at one point, say she wasn't interested?

Laura - Another vote from me for not bringing our own pool towels. I do bring pool toys though!

Jillian - Are you off of Rt.128? I'm not real familiar with the north shore, but I have a friend who lives in Beverly and it takes me about an hour to get up there. (I think I've seen signs for Lynn/Lynnfield on the way)

Tammie - Where are your pictures?

Debbie - Weren't you the one who reprimanded me for checking airfares again once I had already booked? Told me not to do that to myself - it will make me crazy? Back at 'ya!

Laura anytime you want to fly up this way we would love a visit.

Kara- I am going to convince DH to make it a Mickey bathroom. Everyone will just shake their heads when they come in. No one ever understands.

Pam- I LOVE your house. I never have enough time in my day to get things done. I think I might save a few hours by staying off of here, but that will never happen.

Gee, thanks Jillian! It's very pink! (Outside, but not in, except for DD10's room) You can definitely tell that the women outnumber the men at our house - 5 to 1, if you count the doggies, and 7 to 1 if the hamster and fish are girls too, which we are convinced they are!

Even better - how close are you to the NorthShore Mall? (I don't know where Stoughton is; I'm not a local - Jersey girl transplant). Oh - and I think a Mickey Mouse bathroom would be adorable for your DS; having the black & white tiles means you're half way there!

Pam, love the house! It looks a lot like my second to last house, size and all! Funny you call it pink! When we bought the house we're in now we called DD after we made the offer to tell DD we bought her a pink house! It's typical Florida stucco!

OK, I got a lot done upstairs Disney room today - I got all the invitations hung (at least the ones I have, still waiting on 3 I think from the DISigner who is making them), and a couple of other things. I bought some shelves, too so I think I'll hang them tomorrow. Didn't make it to Bed Bath & Beyond tonight so I will try to get there at lunch tomorrow. I'm going to try to find some premade curtains or even a shower curtain that I can add lining to, and hang up there. I won't let DH in there until it is DONE!

Good morning all! Stayed up waaaay too late last night decorating. I have a lot left to do, including some sort of curtains to bring it all together. Then I decided to paint this one wall in the family room to see if I like this new color of paint. This will be the 4th color on the wall so far!!!! I just can't find what I like and it's driving me insane becaue I really want to get the big open family room painted!

Should be warming up a little today, I hope!

Laura, have you started packing yet? Believe it or not, DH told me that we need to get started! It's only 18 days for us!!!!

Jillian, have you checked online for shower curtains? I seem to remember a shop in MK on Main St that sold only bath items, but that was a long time ago. I'll bet you could find something really cute though! I may just look for mickey sillouette fabric or something.

I swore that I would never be like my mother (having to go back to the house to make sure the coffee pot is off, or the iron etc...) But that all changes when you have kids.
