Looking For Control Freaks & Worry Warts too (Part 2)

Happy Monday everyone!!!

As usual, I'm crazy busy with work today but I can always spare a couple of minutes for my CFWW buds!!!!

Had a great weekend, but busy! We got a lot done around the house and that always feels good, but I was sooooo sore on Saturday night! I laid 42 bags of mulch, and we're just about done. I only have about 15 more to go to finish the house.

I moved some of the landscaping around, fertilized my roses, while Jeff cut the lawn and edged. It looks so good right now!!! I love fresh mulch.

Sunday I got the bathrooms cleaned and 8 loads of laundry done and put away. Plus got the beds changed. It feels good to have that done.

Friday night when we babysat for our neighbors, they came to pick them up and I think it was their first grown up night out in a long time, cause they were both a bit tipsy when they got here. So we sat outside and had a couple of drinks with them, then my neighbor went to use my bathroom and I was mortified!!! I knew it was filthy and I was so embarassed! I just kept putting it off and putting it off. Finally got all that done yesterday.

We got in our pins that I ordered on ebay and got everything situated on our lanyards for our one day trip to AK this Saturday. Ally is so excited - and so am I!!! Get this, I got all the pins for an average of $2.07 per pin, but we found two of them in our book and each is valued at about $25!!! Plus we got a couple that Ally is excited to use to start a couple of collections..... So this should be fun.

I want to get the rest of the house cleaned this week so that I won't be embarassed when my neighbors come over Saturday during the day to let Bucky out. Their house looks like a model home any time I go over there. She told me that her husband is just as anal as she is, so that obviously helps. Jeff is just as slack as Ally so I'm constantly picking up after both of them. Drives me insane!!!!

But Jeff is leaving Thursday after work for his golf weekend. So I should be able to get it all cleaned Thurs and Fri and it will stay nice until he gets home Sunday night and I get to start all over again picking up his messes!!!!

Seriously, he won't even rinse off a plate, or put anything in the dish washer. I guess I didn't get him trained very well, huh?

I got my baggalini all packed up for Saturday, not much to take, just want to make sure I have the essentials - sunscreen, bug spray, Ally's pressed penny book and autograph book (in her backpack), plus tickets, bandaid, Neosporin, gum, etc....... So we're ready to roll around 6:30 or 7am on Saturday!!!!

Yes Laura, just a quick one day trip - leaving between 6:30 and 7am and coming home when the park closes, around 5ish. Hope to see the parade at AK as we've never seen it before! Ally informed me we're riding Everest 7 times! And I want to torture her and get her on Dinosaur! After that, we're gonna try to catch some things we've never seen before.... Flights of Wonder, Nemo The Musical (Jeff and I saw it a couple weeks ago but Ally has never seen it).

The only bad part is that for me part of the allure of Disney is staying on property. But I'm sure this will be fun, too.

I won a Belle Christmas dress and cloak on ebay and it came today. Now this is about $115 if purchased new, but I got it for $44 including shipping. It was advertised as "gently used" but it looks brand new! Absolutely gorgeous!!!! Ally is wearing it now! Thankfully it came today because she was so down when she got off the bus. Seems the kids were teasing her about her last name. Jeff is familiar with that - his nickname in college was "Bunny." Oh, so masculine!

I just called him and told him to call her. He just called me back and told me I need to do some better investigating. Turns out they weren't making fun of her LAST name, they were calling her Ally Miss Fart Fart! I swear, I just can't seem to remember that age, but what's the big deal? My middle name is Jean and as a kid my name was Let A Bean (as in fart!), instead of Kara Jean. Yes, I had two names growing up....

Ok first off Kara i am extremely jealous of you going to AK next weekend ... Chloe loooved the conservation station when we took her when she was 7 it was a fave bit of hers, she was studying the rainforests at school so knew all the answers about the siamangs etc (show off)

Our numbers have gone up from 12 to 17 for our next trip in 2010 Don't do it by halves hey!! Although still don't know what to do as Harry Potter definitely not opening till 2010 but it doesn't say when .. Disappointed children if we miss that and disappointed daughter if we don't go for her b'day oh what to do

Anyway like i said a flyby .. am so very tired and it's gone so cold here i'm off to get warm and cosy

Erin - I'll see if I can get a more definite date on Harry Potter at Universal. I have "connections" there - Jeff's cousin is the VP of Marketing..... I'll email his wife right now and see if she has the inside scoop!!!

We're looking forward to that, too! I just finished the 7th and final Harry Potter book and I was so bummed out! Who knew I would get so into that series!!!! Jeff just started Book 5 and he's threatening to kill me if I spoil it for him!!!

Ooh no way are you kidding me ... that would be sooo fab thankyou soo much ... Bigger than Harry Potter???!! I have all my fingers and toes crossed that it might be open in time or whilst we're there!!

Erin - I just got an email from my cousin-in-law's wife - what would that make her? My cousin-in-law-in-law??? Anyway, she said all they are saying now is 2010 - they won't have a more definite date until they get closer. Sorry, not much help yet. But we're gonna try to get in with our VIP family for the opening...... Just need to stay in their good graces!

Hi everyone.

I took Nicolas to the dr today. Seems the kind soul got a nice cold from the other kids - I have a good idea which one too. Then he decided to share with his Mommy & Sister.

He officially got labeled 1-upper resp. infection, 2-cough, 3-ear infection. He does seem to be feeling better at least.

Me - well, I feel like something someone scrapped off the bottom of a very nasty shoe. All yucky head junk. I gave in (don't get fussy with me) and started a Zpack that I had not taken before. It just feels like a sinus infection starting in again on that same side, so I decided it was wait 3 days to get an appt, or start the extra zpack. I have no problem telling the dr what I did and justifying it - so,

I'm even more behind than I whined about. At least we are transitioning the bills from me to the man. That will be a great help - but getting it from my system to his - well, that is taking a little work.

Lets see - our May trip - nothing done yet.

3 online classes - one finished (did squat with it), one just started and one at the end of the month. Granted, they are scrapbooking, but the last is for a Christmas binder/organizer. "Cut the Crazy out of Christmas". Sounds right up my avenue.

Hope you all are doing well, and that Kara enjoys her 1596378465456123132 trip to the world. Just kidding - seriously, I envy you so much!

Off to find some sort of chapstick to put on my nose. I hate nothing more than a sore nose.

I always get them after Halloween with stackable codes and stuff. She actually is going to be Deluxe Giselle for Halloween.

I love that Belle dress - it's so elegant!! I talked DD9 into wearing her Belle dress for Halloween so I don't have to make her a Queen Narissa outfit. Sounds bad, but I'm happy about it because I'm still working on the cushions for my friends' dance studio. Bought myself a cutting table this weekend so I'm going to whip those cushions out - Well I can't do anything else until those cushions are done.

I love to see the pictures from everyone from Disney! Makes me feel hopeful that someday we'll get back before 2010. Now DH is saying maybe we won't go next August. Here we go on the emotional rollercoaster. I don't blame him with the market today so horrible!!! I think we'll save some money- pay off the Disney CC and then do it big in 2010.

Are you saying your trip is a Grand Gathering of 17 people? You can get some special plans at WDW!!!

Well, I still feel yucky, but i"m guessing the kids are feeling better since they (Mia Katherine started it) are having a nurf gun fight right now.

Tina - Dollywood is near us. I haven't been since it switched from Silver Dollar City. A LOT of people around here go there for the weekend since it is so close. Let's see - many rate it BETTER than Disney (I'm not so sure I get that) for the money, and it is about the same ticket price as Disney. Just a "southern, old timey" type of park. Not my thing so much, but no one I know says anything other than good things about it. Tickets are $50 each and you can save a lot by going anytime other than fall. Prices are really much higher then. I'd recommend renting a newer cabin. We went last year and they're more catering to the "older" crowd, so a lot of early bird specials and cheaper hotels. The nicest thing I could book was a Holiday Inn Express. Oh - they were opening a new condo unit right on the main strip - Christmas Village or something like that - looked new and nice. I'd try there. Still external entry though.

Tammie - I'm hoping that all goes well for Jim's surgery today. I'm sure all will be fine. Lots of positive vibes headed your way.

It is indeed .. when we went in April it was 21 of us altogether, although 16 in 1 villa from here!!
What sort of special plans can i get?? Ooh sounds good any info on that would be fab!!

Thanks so much Kara thats much appreciated ... We won't be booking anything till March i think so hopefully they may know the month they're planning on by then .... And of course i'm hoping it's January i know highly unlikely to open something like that at that time of year but a girl canhope can't she?!?!
Oh yes stay in their good books for definite, that would be fabulous for you to go to that!!
