Tina- I am sorry to hear about DD9 poor thing.

Renee- Woo Hoo on the CT news.

Kara- Lovely a 7 year old bartending they just might hall you away for that:rotfl: As for us meeting in Disney Yes we are!!!!! I should say if things workd out! See Below.

Well Mike's new job is fighting him about taking vacation time. I am in tears not really! I want to go. He is getting a little nervous because our interest rate just went up and he says things are a little tight ***??? Shouldn't you have told me this before? I think he is just getting nervous because the holidays are coming. Well I am doing everything in my power as it is Badookie is saying "Bye" and when you ask where he is going he says "me mows how" (Mickey Mouse's House)

Awwwww, so cute! :cloud9:

Don't know why my Boo's didn't come through! I swear I PM'd you all with it!!!

Debbie - 38 is a LOT! How many teachers are there? Any teachers aids? I firmly believe it has a lot to do with the teacher though. Ally has 24 in her class with one teacher. The class next door? Also 2nd grade? 15 kids. What does that mean??? Stupid school.

OK, gotta hit the hay now. See y'all in the morning!

Hi, everyone! I just have to say that I did not get boo'd by anyone.:sad2: I did save mine from last year. Is that OK?

I feel like it's been ages... After our big football game Friday night, the girls and I packed up and went to my parents' for the weekend because they were keeping my niece. Well, we WON! HS football is huge here, and we had more fans as the visitors than the home team had! Now, just bring on the fall football weather! I've got my band mom sweatshirt and handwarmers ready!

It was a busy week last week, with back to school, lots of paperwork to fill out, and I got a new vehicle, which took 2 nights. Uggh! My van was at about 100K miles and was needing to have some work done. I didn't want to sink money into it.

I loved all of the eye candy I mised!!:lovestruc

Debbie - Josh D. OMG! Great pics! I could totally relate to your snow blower story. Darrin wants a bass boat so badly. I have nixed it for now. Besides the money we will sink into it, insurance and storage - I do not want him to be gone every weekend, all weekend. It's a constant subject in our house, and he pouts about it occasionally. He has gotten the girls to lobby for one, promoting the idea of them riding in it. Men!:headache: Can't live w/them, can't live w/out them!:headache: I too, feel like I am the peacemaker in the family. It's not easy! I am glad to hear that both you and Elizabeth survived the first day of Kinder. 38 kids is too many in a Kinder class, IMO. One teacher? Poor thing. I'd complain. Surely, you wouldn't be the only one. It will get easier.

Tina - I need to Google Matthew McFadden. Sorry to hear about your girls having such a hard time w/BTS. I hope that the night wasn't too rough, and good luck tomorrow!

Cammie - That's sad abot your friend from NO. I cannot even begin to imagine. I am glad that Amanda is better. Scary. Like you, I was ready for BTS. Taylor was calling me several times a day, and I was constantly thinking about what they were doing.

Renee - I think that's great news about your test results. I just hope he can get you 100% cured.

Jillian - I wish we had a fall like you, and the others from the east describe. It's still hot here during the day, and in the 80's at night. I hope that you get to go to WDW. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Tammie - I think you're lucky w/the weather, too! I bet that it is so pretty where you live. I did mark on a US map where each of us live, and looked up each of your cities to see what they looked like. I need to do that some more when things slow down a little bit.

Kara - The kitchen is awesome! Just wait a few years, and you will need to count the beers in your fridge. When we took the kids to a water park this summer, and Megan brought a friend, we counted the beers in the mini fridge before we left them alone in the room. I told them that I was 15 once. Her friend thought that was hillarious. I wasn't joking. I wish this hurricane season would end. When is it supposed to? I am feeling neglected because I didn't get your PM w/the boo! JK! Thanks for the Michael Phelps pics! He's hosting Sat Night Live soon. I need to see when! He is kind of dorky, but cute. He just brought back memories of pulling for Eric Heiden years ago.

Laura - Beth looks so cute in her uniform! I wish that we wore them. I am all for them.

Tessa - You all have year-round school, don't you? Are you still working at the school? I would really love to change careers and work for the school district and be home during the summers. Maybe one of these days before I retire...:rotfl:

Hi to everyone!:hippie: Short week!:yay: I'll try to stay caught up!

OK, did y'all not get the Boo's I PM'd to you????

Okay, I sent you one- then you used one from someone else..:rolleyes1 but, I didn't get one. The system only let me send 5 at a time.

So last night was the first of many school breakdowns! DD9 cried for 1+ hours last night. First I need to mention that there's an issue of 'snakes' in her bed. Yup, she can't sleep under the blankets because there are 'snakes' under the blankets and they bite at her feet. I tried to get her to go to bed 30 mins early to no avail, but then when it was bedtime she started crying. She got herself so worked up, by the time I got into the room she was crying that I didn't love her anymore. That I loved DD6 more! It breaks my heart to see her so upset, but I know it is the pre-school stress.

Last night DD6 shouts out something to noone in particular in her sleep because she's starting with the pre-school stress.

Usually DD9 has these crying fits in her sleep - she's had them for years always the first month of school. She wakes up crying, we run in to see what's wrong and can't wake her up. We walk her down the hall to go to the bathroom while she continues to cry hysterically. Then we carefully put her back into bed and get her all nice and comfortable - that's usually when she wakes up asking us what we're doing and why did we wake her up. I've talked to her dr about it and I even did the smack in the face (not hard) and a cold face cloth, but what works the best is above and go with the flow.

Fun and games. Tonight my mom and I are taking DD9 out to go shopping for new clothes so that should make her feel better.

BTW school starts tomorrow for us!

Tina, I'm sorry your daughter is going through that. My DS had night terrors from about age 3 until about age 9. It wasn't fun. I used to dream my grandma's house was full of snakes until maybe the last 5 years or so after she passed away. :confused3

I hope she grows out of it soon. How was school?

{\=quote=Camster0307;27322553]I got no boo from you!

Tammie was the only one to boo me - so she gets the recognition!:snooty:[/quote]

That's because I'm the special one! :flower3:

Cammie! I'll bet you were really worried about Amanda! I'm glad you have a good nurse. That is really strange about the reaction with nothing new. I wonder if she is maybe more sensitive since her surgery. She's not on antibiotics???

Hi to everyone!:hippie: Short week!:yay: I'll try to stay caught up!

Pam, I tried to send you one, but it said you weren't accepting PMs :confused3

I know, we have seasons - Winter and Summer! :lmao: Well, okay, we have Fall, too. but no Spring. We just got Summer in July, so this is crazy. We will have more warm days again until the end of Oct, though.

I looked everybody up at Christmas, too! I have google earth, so I've seen the tops of some of your houses - fun, cuz I can imagine where you are when you are talking about your lives!

Debbie, wow - Elizabeth did have alot in her class - I hope there was a TA? Her dress is so cute, BTW. I know how you feel, with her starting school - It was hard for me, too! It wasn't so hard when Mark went, I'd alraedy been there, done that, and everyone was okay! :goodvibes How did your son like being home without her? Did he throw cereal around and jump off the couch? :rotfl2:

And your Mark IS being a pooh pooh head. We had alot of fun on snowmobiles when I was a kid, but I know there are alot of accidents every year, and I can see why you worry.

How many days until your vacation again????

I was thinking about all of you for coffee this morning, but I couldn't get the time to get on - the kids were up bright and early today.

Have a happy Tuesday everyone!

And another thing....

Laura, thanks for sharing your pics! Looks like you had alot of fun at the lake - I miss "the lakes" I really want to visit MN soon. How are things going with the convention?

Tessa, you are such a sweet mommy! You had some really good advice, and uniforms do sound like a good idea.

Jillian, I'm sorry things are stressful right now. I hope your DHs boss doesn't mess up your trip for Badookie! It is really hard to hear them say they are going to see Mickey, and then not make it happen.

Okay, bye bye!

So shopping last night was a great success. DD9 got a cute jumper with black pants to wear today from Ltdtoo. I talked with the sales girl and she said all Ltd toos will be Justice by the spring. Interesting. I think both places are super expensive!! I'd rather shop at Savers and get second hand then pay the prices at Ltd too. Last night Gramma was paying and she wanted Ltd too, so away we went. We actually got jeans at Justice for $7 that were priced $20, of course I didn't correct the sales. I know I'll go to hell for that. My mom pulled out a cute fushia cordoury outfit for DD6 - skort, sweater top with a sequin cami - very cute - until I priced it $60+ and that didn't include the $14 cami - give me a break she's only 6 yo!

This is why I will be making my kids clothes for as long as I can. Thank goodness they both have the basics, jeans, shirts, etc. All we have to do is add in the sweaters, but my goodness. No wonder the average household has to work 2 jobs and can't pay their bills. It's not the gas prices, it's the price of the kids clothes.

Okay I have to go DD9 is making me crazy about her clothes, now it's her toothpaste. I still have to shower and get ready for work, then get DD6 up and deal with her craziness.

Have a get day everyone!!

I know!!! It is way too much to pay for little girls clothes! And they're not even "little girls" clothes in my opinion. Way to trendy in the high school way for me....

Okay, I sent you one- then you used one from someone else..:rolleyes1 but, I didn't get one. The system only let me send 5 at a time.

That's so weird. I thought you were just replying to me! I think it's cause I tried to send more than 5....

I looked everybody up at Christmas, too! I have google earth, so I've seen the tops of some of your houses - fun, cuz I can imagine where you are when you are talking about your lives!

Ooooh, I"m gonna do this!

I was thinking about all of you for coffee this morning, but I couldn't get the time to get on - the kids were up bright and early today.

I'm sipping my coffe right now!

Jillian - I really hope things work out for your trip, and with Mike's job. That is just so stressful!

Debie - how did Elizabeth do this morning? We almost missed the bus this morning. We were pulling out the golf cart and the bus barrelled by! We got there just fine, and luckily he cruises back around about 3 minutes laters so if we miss the first run, we can catch him then.... But he's coming about 10 minutes earlier than he is scheduled.

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Hiya all,

Kara - happy hump day to you too!!! Still makes me giggle...

Debbie - hope the little one settles in at school, probably a bit overawed by it all.... ours started back yesterday too.... and break for our half term the last week of October...

I started back to school yesterday too - supervising at lunchtimes... On my little walks around to check everyone is outside playing I came across a little darling stood by her coat peg and said she had to go out to play, she said to me "But it's so busy, I don't know ANYbubby and I don't know what to do....." I felt for her sooo much and tried not to giggle at the "anybubby" took her hand and wandered over to the older more confident kids, who soon had her chatting and playing beautifully - so just remember - even if they have sad little moments, there are folks like me there to help.... I had a little picture of us holding hands passed to me today - took all my power not to cry!!!! I do love my job, just wish there were more hours!! ..... and now I'm dealing with younger ones again I find it sooooo rewarding.

Cheers,
Tessa

Oh, Tessa, that's soooo sweet! :goodvibes You sound like the best "anybubby" there!!!

Good "late" morning everyone! I sent Lauren off to her first day of 7th grade this morning - and cried! I don't ever think I'll be happy with my children getting older!:sad1:

Here's a glimpse of your future, Kara. In first grade, you can dress them in head-to-toe Disney attire; come middle school - it's all about shopping at the big name stores. Lauren's entire outfit was found at Abercrombie.......

DSC03148.jpg

She really liked the way she looked so I was glad to send her out the door feeling somewhat confident. Even though, over dinner last nite, she revealed to me how nervous she was about the first day - didn't know who was in her lunch period; or in three of her core classes. So of course, I sit here and worry about my baby sitting all alone! I don't know who the first day of school is worse for!

Pam - Glad to see you're back!

I'll check back in later everyone; I'm off to get ingrediants for choc.chip cookies - our traditional first day of school snack!

Cammie - Lauren looks so grown in that picture. It is crazy about kids and dressing these days. My neighbors were talking about some jeans being on "sale" for $99 a pair - generally $160! :scared1:

I'm so behind on packing that I'll probably not be back on till after the beach trip. I love the condo - but packing for it is sometimes a bear. I hope that everyone is doing well and has a great week/weekend.

I'll miss you guys!

$99? I don't even buy jeans that cost that much. Fortunately, Lauren's were only $50 - which seems to be about the going rate these days!

I forgot you were going away - have a GREAT time! When will you be back? And are you feeling any better?

Oh, Cammie, Lauren looks so great! She looks so mature.

How nice that she can wear the tank tops - Ally can't wear them in elementary school!!! According to her teacher, the younger kids are fine. Then I found out that one of her classmates was told by a principal that she'll get three days detention if she wears spaghetti straps again!!! :scared1: She's 7 - she doesn't have anything to show!!!

No more cookies for me.... gained 1.4 lbs last week. I think it was the adult beverages that I enjoyed over the weekend.... :rolleyes1

Renee - have a great time!!! Looks like you're gonna have great weather!

Lauren's not allowed to wear spaghetti straps to school either. Tanks tops are fine - she's wearing just a regular ribbed tank. But we have the "4 Bs" rule for the school: No bras, breasts, boxers, or butts should ever been peaking out of any clothing.

I can't believe they would be that strict with younger kids though. I remember the girls having some cute shirts from Gymboree that were spaghetti straps!

I've been booed!! Thank you Kara!!!

So it was a successful first day of school!! Now only 179 more days left!!

Well, I brought the dis screen up and NEVER got to sit down to catch up until now. Wednesday is my busy day and DH is working evenings so he is going to be home during the day. I have to show him ALL I do during the day so I won't be dissing while he's home! He'll think that's all I do.....:rotfl2: BTW He seems to be done pouting and the snow mobile family controversy has been dropped for now.

Elizabeth did great this morning and all day. I think she likes it! There is a Teacher's Aide Thank Goodness! It's the least they can do. I think I am gonna have to go with it for now. I WILL say something but I don't see them adding another class. I am hoping they just can give the two classes more help and maybe pull kids from class for more individual attention. Meeting tomorrow night at school. We will see. Thanks for thinking of us EVERYONE!

Renee...have an awesome trip!
Tina...glad you had a good day.
Cammie...Lauren looks awesome! She is so cute!
Kara...I don't even think you need to lose weight anyway!
Tessa...glad your whole family is getting off well. I hope your back holds up for you this school year!
Tammie...Matthew LOVES having me to himself!
Hope you all had a good one. I STILL have a HUGE pile of laundry to go through so I can't stick around:guilty:

:cool1: 2 weeks until WDW baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:
