That's a no for me. I just went away last weekend with girlfriends and DH prety much went bananas about me going away without the family. Plus DH would freak out if I put anything else on the credit card.

Someone ride haunted mansion for me!:hmghost:

The cabins could look like the Taj Mahal inside for all I care; I don't want to stay in a room built out of logs!

Besides - I want a nice resort with a pool and hot tub for our late night dips; want to be able to order liquor and fancy dessert from room service so we can keep the party going all night long!

My vote is for SSR!

Snoot.

Drunk.

Oh, and I totally agree!!! :rotfl2:

Hi Ladies! You are just the little planners aren't ya! Unfortunately I will not be able to decide either way NOW. When will I have to decide by???? AGAIN. I would be SO jealous if I WASN'T there.

Okay, so you tell Mr. Jeff that you are in. :snooty: Besides, if the guys would let us have a life and be more interested in Disney ...
For the record though, Carlos thinks I'm absolutely insane. Seriously - nut house material. My SIL has out right said I'm crazy. I would normally feel the same, but I swear you guys just feel like friends. Not hatchet holding wack jobs. :confused3

I haven't even told a sole on this end. NO ONE will understand and they might perform some kind of intervention on me.
I agree with Renee though...I just feel like we know each other....what every teenager says about her on-line, 55 year old creepy boyfriend who says he is 16.

Tim thinks I have lost my mind too. Well at least he knows that Kara is real after all he did meet her. I have approached him with what do you think about me going to WDW without you and you should see the look I got. I'm working on him. The ones I worry about at the girls. They're going to be heart broken. Mom needs time to herself too.
Get yourself better Renee! We need you there.

You guys are going to laugh and make fun of me but I have yet to leave my kids.....I always feel like I should and or I want to but when it comes down to it I never can bring myself to do it. I think I would feel so bad leaving Elizabeth especially knowing where I was going and plus then I can see DH saying thats "my" Disney trip and then I won't get the family WDW trip...yada yada! I just know how I am gonna pull this off. Just keeping it real.

We ran around in the morning and went to the pool in the afternoon. Now I am off to pack and veg out. I actually don't feel so hot. I will be back the week of the 11th.
I will miss you all.

Sorry about the van troubles Cammie.
Sorry you don't feel well Renee!
Kara I so want Jessie to go!
Have a good one girls! I love ya all!

Hello ladies. It has been an eventful afternoon. I've spent more time with tech support than I care to, but I know one patient little overseas guy I could smooch at this point! :rotfl2:

First they thought it was a card inside the computer (aka go buy a new one) but nope - turns out I replaced the USB with the one from my external drive and BINGO!

SO - bad USB cable. I find this odd since our Ethernet cable went out a month ago and we "assumed" that the port was blown in a storm. I am thinking the modem is on its last leg, so if I just disappear - you are forwarned. I'll be up as soon as I can.

Okay - now to catch up after kiddos go night night. SIGH - stressful day. That coupled with a nice present from the undercooked Sonic burger for lunch  have made for a lovely afternoon!

OK, I'm having our shirts designed even as we speak!!!
Are you going to draft those bylaws as a Declairation for us to sign too???

IX-NAY ON THE ABIN-CAY!!!!!!

Are you crazy, woman? I'm into saving money but not if it means sleeping in the woods!

I'm voting Cammie has final accomidation say - and I'm staying in her room! Kara can go pitch a tent if she wants :snooty: :lmao:

I'm w/ya sister, and I am not doing laundry or cooking! These places have kitchens and washers and dryers. What's up w/that? (just curious!:confused3 )
:thumbsup2 ME EITHER! YEAH KARA. Are you a little coo-coo in the head :confused3

Do I need to whip out my chicken again??? Just imagine 700 sq feet vs 300 sq feet for a room! It's a CABIN, not a tent!!! Just throwing out options.....

Watch it chick, or you will get the shirt that says "CFWW DISmeet/Cammie Manhunt 2009" on it! :rotfl2:
Are they group shirts, or are you being individual evil? If so, make sure mine has bad grammer and a lot of cr*p misspellllld. :lmao:

And I thought I watched too much reality TV! :rotfl2:

Debbie - no need to commit.... yet! I think we need to wait until right after the holidays to really start planning, booking, and ADRing (my new word - maybe I'll put it on the shirt!!!). I remember the first time I left Ally was on a business trip - she had just turned 2 and it about killed me.... until I got to the convention and had a blast! Then I had to go away two or three times a year for 2-3 nights each time. I hated the travel time, but again, once I was there I was fine. The worst was right after Ally turned 4 Jeff and I went to Jamaica. We were there right before I got pregnant, and we had been antsy to get back, so we waited until she was old enough to really express herself if she should get hurt or sick. I was a nervous wreck from the time we booked the trip until I go to the resort in Jamaica. I got our wills drawn up, etc, cause this was our first trip away from Ally together. We were there 6 nights and by the 5th day I was ready to come home. I had a great time, but I missed my girl.

So with this being 2 or 3 nights, I'm excited. A) It's a getaway for ME to be with MY buds. B) It's a great time for Jeff and Ally to have time alone. If I'm here she will always come to me and I"ll be the one to take care of her and bond with her. So if I'm gone, they get some quality time just the two of them.

And yes, go home Jessie!!!!

Good morning ladies!

It's a dreary, cold, rainy day here; which means I should FINALLY be able to get to posting those pix on my pre-tr that I promised days ago!

Just want to suggest a trip report for you guys to check out. It's by a DISer who did a girls' weekend at SSR - lots of pix!(Kara - it's the same DISer who's doing a Hilton Head trip report right now). Here's the link:

good morning!

It must be grandparents week or something. My mom called last night and wants to take the girls "up north" for the week. I'm sending Beth. She wants grandma time. She'll be back on sunday. I know what you mean Debbie about letting the kids go. It was tough. I flew out to Salt Lake City to meet Tim when beth was 18 mos old. I was torn. Once I got out there everything was fine but I called home everynight and was in tears. It has gotten better. She and Katherine do sleep overs quite regularly now. I think one weekend a month they are gone to either grandparents house. The girls are spoiled to have both sets of grandparents so close.

I have lofty goals today of getting the shrubs outside trimmed. Who know if I will get it done

If I don't get my way I could go all BSIL and be the child!!! :rotfl2:

Translate, please! :) BSIL??

Hi Ladies! You are just the little planners aren't ya! Unfortunately I will not be able to decide either way NOW. When will I have to decide by???? AGAIN. I would be SO jealous if I WASN'T there.

Totally understandable! We want you there! You started this thing! DH is warming up to the idea, but haven't told DDs yet because they'll be jealous, and anyone else because they'll think I'm nuts! Have fun on your trip and a great week!

Cool! I need to check it out! It will make me even more excited, if that is possible!

Tonight will be my DIS night (I've said that the past 2 nights, but didn't :sad2: ). The past couple of evenings have been tough, getting used to trying to cram in a quick dinner when I get home, leave at 6:30 to drive carpool for band practice, get in a workout or errands, then pick up from band practice at 9. Darrin did do the band driving last night, both ways. It's still disruptive to the evenings. I like it when we are all home together w/nowhere to go, but those days are becoming few and far between!

I have lofty goals today of getting the shrubs outside trimmed. Who know if I will get it done

From the queen of lofty goals - get your lawn man to do it! Hee, hee! Mine (Darrin) is falling down on the job. We have cooler temps the rest of this week, so I need to encourage him to do it.

Renee - :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a great day, everyone!:flower3:

BSIL is my witchy sister in law (with a B). She's a piece of work!

Laura - good luck with the yard work! I spent about an hour last night planting the bushes I just bought, and then found I need more! But it was so hot, that I just took it easy. Then I got 3 bags of mulch laid, but we'll probably need about 70-80 total!!! :scared1:

Think I'm gonna head to HD at lunch and get the rest of the bushes and about 10 more bags of mulch. If I can get the back of the house done this week, we can then lay the mulch slowly throughout the front.

Cammie - I just saw that it's really cool up north. I envy you right about now - it's supposed to be 98 today with very high humidity and a real feel of 108! Yuck!

Hi everyone! You guys are a riot.

I'm taking a day off I think. I've been cleaning carpets, etc. I think I'm going to use the next hour to be "me time".

DSIL called me almost in tears from the hospital. She is looking at going home tomorrow. Her mom will be there through Sunday. She has my DBIL taking off this week and next. Her mom might stay 2-3 days with her the week of 17-23 through the week. That is it in her help department. :sad2:

I told her my experience was you wanted every one to leave at first - then you get so tired you just want help. I'm seriously worried she will be so passed the point of no return at 8 weeks.

We talked about me moving my trip up to maybe that weekend of 8/23 or even 8/30. She seemed to light up when I told her I could. The I told her sometimes you wanted time alone. She told me to leave it alone until she got home to figure things out. I know her, she knows I got a good deal on that Sept weekend and she doesn't want me out more money on a quicker flight.

I think I'm going to run numbers. Just to see.

 SO.... CSection on Monday. Help this week and next. Maybe 3 days the next week - and then 5 weeks with no help before I get there late Friday to stay until late Sunday. Think this is too long to wait to go?

Renee, I think she'll be glad to get rid of people for awhile and have some alone time before you show up. I just wanted QUIET!!!! In fact, Jeff wasn't allowed to take off too much time so I think he went back to work two days after I came home from the hospital. He didn't work far though, so it was no big deal. And I really liked the private mommy/baby time. Then it was 2 weeks before my mom came. That worked great for me, but that's just me.

OH, I slept soooo good last night! I got the 4th Harry Potter book (Jeff and I are both reading them) from the library last night and read 130 pages already!!! I love to read to relax right before bed.

So after I got my stuff planted, my neighbor came over to bring me some goodies she picked up for me while on their 4 week "mooch march" as they called it. Her DH is out of work right now so they packed up the kids and headed out on the road. They drove 4200 miles!!! Went up to visit relatives, stopped at touristy places along the way. Sounds like a lot of fun! So she brings their golden retriever Baxter over to play with Bucky, and we just sat outside and chatted for awhile. It was so nice to have her back - I hated them being gone so long!!! It's nice to have a good neighbor like that.

Holy COW!!! That is a lot of mulch. Knowing what the mark up is on the bags of mulch, is there a landscape place that would deliver a truck load for you? Ok I am not martha of the house but I am handy outside. We did that and then rented a Toro "Dingo" (a walk behind bobcat) to move it where we wanted it when we first redid the yard. Now I will head over and pick up a load and then slowly take it out of the truck into the wheel barrow. Good luck! It's a messy job.

Any new picitures of the outside kitchen??

My lawn man's back is out again. It has been 10 yrs since he broke it the first time and it flares up when he works to hard. Yea, I know it sound like an excuse but he cut out my parents cabinets in preparation to install the new ones he made for them. He is pretty handy when he is in good shape.

I did get 4 shrubs cut before the shrub trimmer died. Off to Lowes or HD ( the orange church as my neighbors call it. I asked them why they said it's the ad everyone fights over on Sunday. :confused3 )

I am making progress. Inside of the house-not so much.

Kara- Laura is right. Our house requires 96 bags if we do it that way. I forget how many cubic tons that was - but a nice man at Home Depot helped me figure it out. I called our Landscaping "yard" to find they would deliver all the mulch to us for a $45 fee. FYI - the savings was about $100 over buying it by the bags. I figured I would rather do by the bag because I wouldn't have all that mulch dumped in my yard/driveway and HAVE to spend a whole day doing it.

Just thought I would share my findings since I was down that road about 2 months ago.

(BTW - FYI - not one drop of mulch has been laid yet :lmao: )

Okay, so I'm headed out soon. I get to go see my ENT today. I Know I shouldn't be nervous but I am. I want to ask him if he thinks there is something really wrong (like cancer - I know that is jumping off the deep end, but cancer honestly terrifies me more than I can say) or if this happens a lot - or what.

At least my DM is taking the kids for me to go by myself and to run to Joanns afterward. I don't know what is into her - but I LIKE it!!!! :) I'm always so greatful when she helps out. I think she feels guilty because I mentioned this morning that I was crying a week before my SIL came when I had Mia because I needed help so badly (and DM was always too "busy" to even visit). At any rate - I'll take it.

And I got something off my to do list that has been on for a while. I ordered a book that I've been meaning to get. It is about how holding on to issues transform into clutter problems, etc.

Making Peace with the Things in Your Life: Why Your Papers, Books, Clothes, and Other Possessions Keep Overwhelming You and What to Do About It"
Cindy Glovinsky; Paperback; $10.17

It may take me a while to read -but I'll report on how I think it was.
