Hello, I thought I just found this thread and thought I would share my worries with some one other than my DH. When I try and talk to him about it, he just calls me crazy. Our trip is booked for December 7-14, 2008. At first it was booked for a MK view room at the Poly, but I changed it to the WL. We stayed at WL on our last trip, and I just didn't want to be at WDW at Christmas time and not be there. I had months of sleepless nights before I changed it. Now I am worrying about booking the Candlelight Processional package. The only two nights on our trip that we have available to go is either the 12th or the 13th. I have no interest in the narrator on the 12th, but the 13th is just listed as TBA. I just don't know if I should go ahead and get up early on Monday and get a ressie for it or not. What if they announce the narrator and I just don't like them? My DH is already telling me that he really doesn't want to go anyway. If we had been there while Edward James Olmos was there, he would probably wait in line all day to get in. (He loves Battlestar Galactica.) He tell me that I am worrying over nothing, but worrying about it has kept me up late worrying about it. If only Disney would hurry up and change that TBA to an actual name.

Welcome to our thread! We all stress here like crazy! I would be wondering what to do if I was you too! I have no experience with the Candlelight Procession though. There are others here who might be better. I just would love if they could change your TBA by Monday. Good luck and welcome again.

Woo Hoo Cammie- Have a blast :cool1:

Debbie- How are things going? Feeling any better?

I am watching unwrapped I had to DVR it due to Badookies mood today. I also had to call off my hair appt. There is no way Dsis could handle him today!

I loved that Unwrapped!!!

I am feeling a little better. Still hoping for it all to work out!

OMG I can not believe Pam is leaving and Cammie tomorrow. I will have to live vicariously through you guys for now. MK would be just the cure for my doggie downer days!

Have fun! Glad you got your boarding passes in "A". Sorry Amanda was a little down. She will be fine though!

I am this way too about time flying by! It really upsets me.

I wish I was going with you! So fun!

Fantasyland first and like Cammie said definitely get a fast pass for PPF. That's one of our favorites!!!! I am sure I am too late here though!

I would be so......mad I would be seeing stars:furious:!!! I hope it all turned out OK in the end. Thank God for drugs except it might feel like you are traveling with a drunk for a few days!
:rotfl2:

Have a good one girls! Thanks for always being there!

Kara..your smileys are awesome! Cracking me up!:rotfl2: Couldn't you find a depressed, hormonal, anxious ridden, crazy smiley for me??????:confused3
Jillian...have a nice haircut.
Tammie...sent a real casual email out last night.
Tessa...glad the rain held out.
Laura...have fun at the lake!

I'll look for you email, Debbie - I didn't see it.

I'm still alive!!!!

Honestly I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I've just been in softball championship zone...:faint: Believe it or not but my DD8's team won 2nd place!!! :yay: DD8's first year! I can't believe it! Honestly it was so frickin hot out there today I was thankful that they didn't have to play a second game at 3pm for first place. I've pretty much been at playoff games every night this week and finally the softball madness is over. Don't get me wrong I love DD8 and her devotion to play, but I'm glad it's over.

Now it's off to plan her birthday party for tomorrow - DD8 --- DD9!:scared1: It's a rollerskating party, so that should be exciting all by itself. I picked up some cool things for the goody bags over at iParty so we're good!

I"m going to grill some burgers for dinner and sit down with a good book and relax while the girls watch CAMP ROCK for the twentith time.

Congratulations to your daughter! It is so fun to be a winner! Hope you can settle in and have some time to relax now.

Welcome to our crazy bunch!   We love to listen, and maybe we can help sometimes. Is it the narrator that is most important to you, or the processional? I would say if its the narrator, I would wait and see if it's someone you want to hear. Oh, does it sell out really fast? Then I would make the ressie and then cancel if you don't like it. Welcome again!

Hi Jillian - sorry Badookie was having a bad day.
Hi Renee!
Kara is eerily quiet today...do..do...do..do (I'm practicing for TOT!)

Hi Dinner Lady! I'm glad things went well at your fair! So cool that DD did well in her dance - it will be a confidence builder! When are you coming to this side of the pond again?

Hi Tammie,

thanks - she loved her dance time...:goodvibes

Now the baaaaaaaaaad news...... Unfortunately we won't be that side of the pond for at LEAST 3 years.....:worried: - not fair, but as with all these things - it is the money.... we could holiday in this country for about one 5th the price of going over to the US, so need to do some serious saving. Only way to get back sooner is if I get a job doing more hours ....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... With fuel price increases it is bad enough (fuel surcharges now mean an extra £800/ $1600 on our flight prices!!) - even our fuel for the car is now around £6/$12 (that's TWELVE DOLLARS!!!) per gallon!!!!!!!!!! Seriously!!!! :faint:

Tessa

you pay your 25p (50cents ish) ... If little kids didn't win they got a sweet(bit of candy).
Tessa

Cracks me up how you "translate" for us Yanks! :rotfl2:

I know! I hate when one of us leaves!

Guess that about sums it up? :rotfl2:

I"m going to grill some burgers for dinner and sit down with a good book and relax while the girls watch CAMP ROCK for the twentith time.

Yup, we watched it Friday night and Tivo'd it too, so there will be many more viewings I'm sure! Kinda funny - Ally came out about 6:00 on Friday, looked at the clock and sighed, "It's ONLY 6:00!" We said, "why, what are you waiting for?" She said, "Camp Rock is on tonight!" I asked her, "what time?" She answered, "8, 7 central." It was so funny the way she ran it together, as though that was just one time. Jeff and I cracked up and then gave her a time zone lesson, using the coffee table on the back porch to represent the U.S. "Ok, Ally, this golf ball is Floriday. See this beer can? That's Ohio, where Grandma and Grandpa live. These gardening gloves are California...." I was laughing so hard I had to leave. :lmao:

Welcome to our crazy, obsessive thread! I agree - I would book for the TBA narrator and if it's someone you really don't care about, you could always cancel. I've never been at Christmas time though (although we're toying with the idea of coming down the first weekend in December this year - we just moved to FL, about 2 hrs away), but we said if we do stay at Christmas, WL is where we'd want to be, so think you made a great choice there!

There is no way Dsis could handle him today!

You sound so sweet when you talk about your sister - have you always been close, with such a big age gap, or did you get closer as you got older, married, etc?

$12.00!!!!! ARe you serious??? Wow, I thought we were in trouble at $4.00/gallon. I'm guessing that folks commute a lot further over here, though? Plus, I'm sure the US is a larger purchaser of oil - although I just heard that we are now #3 behind China and India. But you've got to remember that the oil in the middle east IS controlled by folks who don't like us much (at all!) so they won't be cutting us any breaks. And I know they think we're a bunch of spoiled, selfish Americans who drive big SUVs and trucks, and when it comes down to it, they're right. We really are selfish and spoiled. We're probably one of the least "green" countries out there, just thinking of ourselves, right now, instead of thinking of the future.... OK, that was my political rant for the day!

Tina - Yea, on DD's softball finish! That's awesome! :thumbsup2

I can't believe that Pam's husband is all banged up for their trip - I hope he's doing better today or she's gonna have her hands full! She's probably in Disney World right now!!!!

Cammie is probably loading up her car to head to the airport. I miss them already!!!! :(

Well, I got my hair "cut" if you can call it that. I got it highlighted and then all she did was cut about an inch off the back. It's horrible right now! But she said it was healthy so there was no point in trimming the layers, since I'm trying to grow it out. Yeah, I try to grow it out at least once a year. We'll see....

While we were there, I gave Ally $1 to get some crackers from the vending machine. She came back with the .50 change and then grabbed it and said she was going to go back for candy. I told her "no" and left it at that. A few minutes later, she comes back with candy and the change is gone. :furious: Let's just say we had a little "chat" in the car and then we didn't speak the whole way home. And the Skittles that she bought? They're sitting on the kitchen counter as a "reminder" of why she gets no dessert, no treats, no snacks, nothing! For two weeks. I'm really trying to hold firm and I also made her come in and tell Daddy what happened.

Where's Laura and Renee these days???

Well, we might try to hit the beach for a couple of hours today. We've got a give card for a gread restaurant in St Augustine so we might head there first and grab lunch before heading to the beach right there. Plus, I love me some St Augustine!!!! The shops, etc. It's a really neat little town - the oldest city in America (in case you've never been!).

Oh, and we ran to Home Depot last night and bought paint for our bedroom (the palest pale blue you can imagine) and beadboard that we're going to paint white and hang below a chair rail in there, and really give it a beach cottage feel. I'm really excited!

Off to plan the day - I'll try to check in later today! Have a great sunday everyone!

Good morning girls...
It's my 7th Wedding Anniversary today so Mark & I will have dinner at the restaurant where our wedding was at. We have been together for 11 years.

Have a good day girls!
Kara...OMG That smiley is hilarious!!! I need to save it!
I am at a constant battle with my kids. I am trying to make some changes here and it is hard. I had to take away all teen Disney shows. I said you can watch them again when you stop talking like a snotty teen. It is kind of working.

Tessa...I feel bad you have to wait so long but I understand. Your airfare has to be horrid!!!!

Hi Tammie..I never sent you the email...just my contact list. I will show it to you though.

Don't know where Renee is but Laura went to the lake.

Good morning, ladies!

I have a million and one things to do today, and only time for about 1/2, so I'm on the run.

Kara, have a wonderful day with your family!
Debbie, Happy Anniversary - enjoy the time with Mark - don't talk about the kids or money while you're out! :goodvibes I'll call you this week before I go.

Hope Pammie and Cammie are having a great trip! I do miss them, too!

Hello to everyone else! Gotta go! Make it a great Sunday!

just stopping by for a quick second. The lake was beautiful. I had a hard time coming back. Beth rode in the tube behind the boat for the first time this year. She wants to start water skiing next week.:scared1:

Sending good thoughts to Pam and Cammie. Tammie you're in the final count down to your trip too. Whoo-hoo! Have fun

Thank you.:)
I would say it's about 50/50. I just know if it's someone that I don't like every time they speak it will just get on my nerves. If it's someone my DH really hates, I will have to bribe him to go, or just go to it without him. My DH says that this will be the only time that we go at Christmas time, so if I want to see it I better go this trip. I guess I can just go ahead and get the package and then if it's someone that we don't want to see, I can just give the passes to someone in the regular line. Besides they could have a narrator listed and then by the time we get down there, it may change.

Tessa the gas pricing is just CRAZY :furious: We had to cut back on things to budget for gas. We now only go out to dinner every other month. Flights are getting out of control too!

Hi and welcome. I agree get the package and if you don't want to go give them away. By the way the story is always the same so does it really matter who reads it?

Hope you're all good ... I've been in a real funk for weeks :sad2: wish i could snap out of it but no not as yet

I know i've missed Cammie going but hopefully she'll have the best time ever

I hear ya! Hang in there and know we are here for ya!

Happy Anniversary Debbie!

Well, the beach day was... interesting, to say the least. We went to St Augustine and ate lunch at Harry's - we love that place, right on the bay, with a nice little shaded courtyard outside. It's "New Orleans style" food so very yummy - and we had a gift card so it only cost us $4!

Then off to the beach - we tried a different beach at the recommendation of my hair stylist. Well, I should have thought this through. I really wish I had brought my camera - it was a great place to people watch, if ya get my drift? Waaaay too many "locals" for lack of a better word. Women who wear the skimpiest bikinis and all I can think is that they don't have a mirror? These are women who are at least 50 lbs heavier than I am, and there's no way I would ever wear a bikini!!!! Not even in my own backyard. I have a mirror, and I respect my mirror. Not to mention, Jeff would risk his own life and tell me there's no way I could go out in public like that. I seriously don't know what people are thinking??? :confused3

But driving home we took the scenic route up A1A and drove through Ponte Vedra Beach where all the money is. I mean, we were laughing at some of these oceanfront homes!!!! Probably 7000 sq feet, with winding driveways and tons of landscaping. We laughed and said we couldn't afford the concrete for the driveways! Crazy money!!!!

But it was a nice day anyway. We were only on the beach for an hour and a half, but we got a lot of sun! And then came home and grilled some chicken and made salads with dried cranberries, mandarin oranges, gorgonzola cheese, sesame seeds and raspberry vinagrette dressing. SOOOOOO wonderful!!!! Seriously, we copied the signature salad here at the clubhouse and it is awesome!!!!

Laura - glad you enjoyed the lake - I can't believe Beth wants to try waterskiing!! That's awesome! They have no fear at this age and that's great!

Jillian - I know what you mean about budgeting for gas. Just to go get my haircut yesterday, Jeff insisted I take his car because it's a company car with company gas. That's what we drove today, too. My car is so much more comfy and rides so much better, but hey, free gas is free gas!

Debbie - Ally is getting that little pre-teen mouth already and she's only 7! So lately I've just been pointing out to her what she sounds like and correcting her, without making a big deal out of it. Today at lunch I asked her something and she responded with, "What do YOU think?" But she had that tone, and head bob going on. I just said, Ally please don't talk to me like that - let's try again. And we ran through it again and she responded with "What do you think?" without the head bob! :rotfl2: I yell so much that I'm trying to reason with her more. Believe it or not, she seems to respond better.

Erin - sorry you're in a funk - that's why two trips to Disny in a month will do to you! :rotfl: Seriously, vent away - that's what we're here for!

Can y'all believe Pam and Cammie are THERE right now??? Dirty dogs! :rotfl:

Anyone watch Alton Brown on Good Eats??? I love him! I know he's a dork, but I've gained so much useless knowledge from him!

OK, I think we're gonna sneak on the golf course tonight and play 2 or 3 holes - Jeff got our golf bag attachment for the back of the cart. So hopefully we won't get caught....

We made it!!! The flight was delayed by 2 hrs so we didn't get into Tampa until 10pm. Got to WDW this morning. Saratoga Springs was a complete mad house!!! Never seen a check in so busy before. Some poor soul must have thrown up outside because they were cleaning something up and using that yucky smelling stuff they used back in school to clean up vomit. Hopefully it's not a virus.

Dh is getting by with his back. The whirpool is helping it. Can't wait to get to MK and Beach Club too!

If Cammie checks in...tell her to keep an eye out for me. Family of 5. Fluffy mom, dad bent slightly forward because of his back, a strawberry blonde12 and blonde13 both with braces and a 5 yo. We'll all have white family t shirts on. I gave her my cell #, but I can't find my charger!!!

Have to run and put the small one to bed. She was up until 12am last night!!

Pam
