Good news - Darrin talked to his sister about the upcoming IL's 50th party, and she agreed to let their mom & dad pay for the open bar. I was so relieved! I know that's awful, and I feel bad for feeling that way, but I do...It looks like we (and that means ME!) will be doing most of the work, since they don't live close, she doesn't have a compatable pc - they have a Mac, and they don't have a printer that would do nice invitations w/pics.... I know I am complaning an awful lot, it will be fun and greatly appreciated by ILs, but

Double

!! Thanks for listening!!
I totally feel for you on this one! Sounds like the planning I did for our trip in May with all of Jeff's family. I enjoy doing it, but it came to be "expected" and that I did NOT like.
She's much more like a sister. Seriously, we talk at least an hour just about every day. She is the one person who I know would take care of my kids if something happened to us both!!! She even has college funds set up for my kids. LOVE HER!
I'm sure she is appreciative. She isn't like SOME peoples SIL. (uh hum... KARA)
Speaking of which, she STILL hasn't sent me that money!!!
Speaking of Kara - You can have your nice little patio. I've one upped you.

Guess who got to talk to Camilla?

(And BTW Cammie - you do not sound like Camilla. Maybe that chick from Goodfellas....

)
Are you talking to ME? Trying to do DeNiro there - c'mon you know you're all imitating it! Or was that Al Pacino? Anywho....

And I know it's Carmela! Our favorite line from any Sopranos, and we use it (under our breath of course) at any family gathering.... "What? No ******* ziti?"
Now Renee, you're a southern gal, did you need an interpreter???
It's funny, when my dad used to talk to Ally on the phone, I had to translate. First of all, she sounds like a chipmunk, really high pitched voice. Then throw in her speech impediment (R's and S's), a really thick southern accent, and let her show off the German she's learned - it was hilarious!!!
Jeff is in bed. Ally is in bed. I SHOULD be in bed! I put together all our patio furniture tonight! It came in cartons from Home Depot, delivered on Friday, and I sat in garage and put together 6 chairs and one big table. Actually, the table was easy, just putting the legs on. But I made Jeff carry the chairs around to the patio. It took both of us to carry the table. It's a really nice set, very heavy and sturdy. Hopefully it'll last us awhile.
Well, nothing has been decided about going to SILs in three weeks. I pretty much told Jeff that he can fly up if he wants, but I don't want Ally going. He got mad at me, but I really don't care at this point. It's ridiculous, and I know I'm going to hear about it from his parents this weekend. I'm sure that's where the pressure is coming from. Oy vey!
I think I'm gonna go to HD tomorrow and get mulch and start on the front yard. It's looking pretty bare in the beds. Nobody gets mulch delivered from a truck down here, ya know, just dumped int he driveway? So they all recommend just going to HD and buying it in bags. I'll give it a shot!
OK, off to bed now - chat with y'all tomorrow!
