I texted Meg and told her we were going to make out in the car. (We didn't.

) I got to see (not meet yet!) the boy that she likes and talks to on the phone and texts with all of the time. They sat next to one another and were really friendly. He's cute! No, her mom does not have a crush on him, too!
OK, I about spit out my coffee reading this!!!! Too funny!!!
Face it ladies - deep down, we're all cougars!
OK, more coffee on my puter screen!!!
The owner asked me if I'd make cushions for the benches - well since I sit there for hours at a time YES! Of course I've never made cushions in my life, but it can't be too difficult.
Hope everyone stays safe with Hannah and Ike baring down on all of us. Be safe everyone!!
I'm sure you'll do a great job! Cushions are one of those things I want to be able to do, so I can replace my outdoor cushions every couple of years without breaking the bank. But I've never tried them. Let us know how they turn out!
Third time spitting coffee on my screen! But oh, in such a good way!
Debbie that was a good view when I brought up the DIS this AM.
Cammie right there with you. I'm off to they gym again. I have been hitting 3 x's a week but I have gone up 4 lbs.

I'm thinking it is because I am adding muscle. We've started lifting free weights instead of using the weight machines. I can tell a difference in my arms and in my quads, tummy, umm not so much...

I'm sure it has nothing to do with eating with Tim.

That stupid predinozone made him hungry all the time so we all were eating munchies. He went from 130 to 148 in a matter of 3 mos. We all need to buckle down. The Y installed a new kids play set. Beth is dying to go to the daycare so I will take her and Katherine today and I will tie myself to that treadmill. I am bound and determined to have my jeans fit. I am not going to buy bigger sizes. I think I need to add more intense cardio. all the work I just don't want to be the bon-bon eating Stay at Home Mom with the worlds largest gunt.
Good luck with the cushions Tina. My mom just finished some for her porch. I'm sure that will make it a bit more tolerable to be on the bench.
Good for you on the muscle! As you continue to build muscle, you'll see your tummy tone up, too, since muscle burns calories faster than fat. But I've learned that all over cardio really helps shrink the tummy, and then crunches to tone. I just HATE crunches!
Kara...I suppose your NOT surprised by SIL right? She is a brat!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't stand the women and I never met her. Did you ever get your money from her?
Also, you know how I told you guys I battled with my weight growing up for years and years but now it's different. Well, I figured it out. Since I have became a wife and mother I am just a nervous wreck on so many occasions that I lose weight from it. Being so stressed with the start of school I dropped 5 lbs without even trying. I know it IS NOT a healthy state to be in but I have figured out why my body is completely different now. Now to be healthier I REALLY should start using that YMCA membership. I think it would help with my anxiety as well.
Nope, still no money! And Jeff and I sat up talking about her the other night. Come to find out, his parents told him that they asked themselves, "how is it we raised two completely different kids? one totally cares about other people and the other one only cares about themself." Yup, they are in total agreement with us! I told Jeff I flat out do not like her and do not enjoy spending time with her.
Debbie - I do think that working out would help with your anxiety - what do they say? mind, body and soul get a workout?
Oh, yes, I mean, oh no! You go Cougar!
i'm hidding out in the office until TIm falls asleep tonight. I am really having a hard time dealing with his back trouble. He can't really do anything. He stays in bed all day with his legs up and says it hurts to walk on the hardwood floors. I can understand the pain but I am thinking he is being a bit dramtic about it. To add insult to this injury, katherine is cutting her 2 yr molars and Beth has a cold. I hate leaning on my family so much to help out when I am working.
My real trouble is that when he hurt his back on the sled when beth was a month old he couldn't do anything for 6 mos. I don't have the strength to do that again. We did 9 mos of therapy to help us get over that issue plus others. I really want to be the good wife and support him but not martyr myself.
You guys are the best. Thanks so much for letting me put this out there. It is amazing how it feels just getting it out.
Vent away girlfriend! And I agree about not wanting to be the martyr. You're not a single mom so why should you have to act like one, right?
Hey everyone hope things are well. I have been cleaning up a storm and it just becomes a mess again. The trip is on and things are well. I will try to catch up.
Yea, the trip is on!!!!!
Kara, Ducks won 64-22 or something like that!
My Buckeyes squeaked out a win - whew! Next week is the game of the season #1 USC vs #3 Ohio State! I need a lot of drinks for that game, especially if OSU plays like they did yesterday!
Hi everyone -- sorry I've been MIA lately. Been having "technical" difficulties with my home computer. After 10 troublefree years, the old desktop finally gave out, and I had to bite the bullet and buy a new one. I ending up buying a new fancy-dancy laptop - and I'm slowly getting used to using it.

Slowly I'm figuring out Vista (the old one ran Windows98

) and messing around with the new router.
I've been away from the DISboards for almost a month.

Wow !!! I'm really glad I checked over on the DIS cruise/meet boards... I found out that
DCL swapped around the ports of call rotation for out Oct. cruise. Our first day will be the sea day, instead of the last. I wonder if this has anything to do with the "lovely" weather they've been having in the Caribbean. Only 28 days before we sail away...
I'm starting to freak out about the whole upcoming trip -- I haven't started packing ANYTHING yet. Gotta start working on my lists this weekend...
I just wanted to pop in and say HELLO

I'm still around and lurking...
Aloha -- keahi
Good to see you Keahi!!!! Congrats on the new laptop! Let me know how you like Vista - I couldn't get used to it when we got our laptop, of course it was a very cheap laptop, so I think that was the bigger issue. Luckily when I started working from home my boss got me a wonderful Dell laptop with Windows XP on it, so that's what we all use here at the house.
Your trip is so close!!! I'm anxious to see pics from a
Disney cruise!
Had our neighbors over for dinner last night - great time! They're such good people and I hate that they are trying to sell their house and move. But it's really up in the air, so selfishly I hope they don't sell and decide to stay.
I made the BEST baked beans last night!!! OMG! I got the recipe from jeff's cousin's wife, she promised me they were the best and they are!!! They have bacon and sausage in there, oh so awesome! If anyone wants the recipe, let me know. Also, very easy to make!
Jeff made fun of me because I made notecards with park times, etc, just for our little 3 night trip! But they will come in handy I'm sure. I need to get all my stuff together and get packed up except for clothes.
My neighbors are watching Ally the first two nights, and I need to get another friend to watch her the last night and the following day before we come home. That's the little girl I don't really like, but Ally will at least have fun.
Hope y'all are faring well from Hanna up north there!!!
