Tina, can't wait to see what you create with the fabric! I haven't seen the skirts on Disboutique but I will have to get over there and look at them. I'm sure you coordinate fabrics that go great together.

Oh Tammie - soooooooo much more than breathing!!! You must go, the dragon is an animatronic one on a HUGE scale from what I remember - you stand behind a rail inside the cavern under the castle to look at it - my eldest was scared of it since she thought it was real!!! It lifts and moves it's head - has smoke coming out, opens its eyes, noise, everything is VERY atmospheric!! Can't remember if there's fire too??? My eldest put her head down and ran before I got to look too much.....

If you want to see type dragon disney paris into youtube.... it is rather dark and scary.....

Hi Tina - it does look very similar, yes.... but the whole atmosphere is quite dark and menacing too, I guess that's what flipped out the kids....

So we had a great dance recital last night and we're all exhausted! I was so proud of DD10 all of her dances were AMAZING! Felt bad though I missed her first dance because a 7yo had to go potty - right as she was about to go on stage!!! CRAZY!! We had parents shouting at girls as they were getting their group pictures taken - amazing how people feel that they have the right to push children around! One mom screamed at her 2yo because she wasn't smiling in her pictures - WHY!

So I realized last night while waiting for DH to post yeah or nay on my FB birthday wish that I think the reason why I'm so Disney crazy right now is because we have planned Disney trips duing this time of the year for the past 10 years straight and I don't think I know how to do anything else. I've got my Mickey earings in, I've been wearing Disney themed clothes everyday, but no trip. It will be a tough summer for sure! I'm going to try to live through my friends, but it will be tough....anyone need a custom Disney skirt for their DDs??

Hiya - I also don't get it Tina -some people treat their kids worse than they would treat a dog!

If you talk like that to a friend, you lose them - what do they think will happen when their kids are old enough to leave....??

Children are the friends you want to keep on the good side of - they get to choose your care home!!

Happy belated Birthday, Tina! I guess I was MIA for a couple of days and missed it. Sorry no Disney trip this year, me either. I have been doing alot of traveling on the internet lately, just to stay warm.

We are going on a cruise this Fall, so I've been looking up excursions, etc. Not the same as a Disney trip, though.

So if you haven't heard DD10 has strep throat and can't seem to break her 102 fever. We put her in a cool tub tonight and she totally FREAKED out! She now has fever blisters on her lower lip and dark circles under her eyes - it makes me so sad to see her so sick especially after her dance recital when she was so high!!

How is everyone doing with their Disney planning!!

Tina - sorry about the dreaded "lurgy" we need to keep the word in circulation!! Hope she improves soon - sounds a bit scary.... I know it is dd who is suffering, but it is " mum" who does all the worrying!! So take care of yourself too Tina.

Our planning is going ok ish - still can't decide on which day for which park, but are getting there - I think it is a delayed reaction to the Iceland volcano problems - don't want to plan too much, or we might get all built up for nothing if we can't get there KWIM.... But lately it has died down, so fingers crossed, got to get planning.

Tessa - planning is the best part!! Do you have all of your spreadsheets and books laid out like you're about to take a college exam?!?! Thank you for the kind words. She's doing better today - well as better as can be expected. The fever is down to 100 and we feel that's promising! DH is exhausted though, he spent the day with her yesterday and was up with her last night a few times. Today's my day and DH is getting some much needed rest.

We're going camping with the GS this weekend and I haven't even packed yet. Oh DD10's off to bed for a nap. I'm working from home so at least it will be quite.

Hi Everyone! just checking in - worked Fri and Sat - had a great day in the woods with Jim and my Ps. It was a little chilly in the shade, but not bad. We made fajitas on the campstove! Mon we cleaned up the flower beds and planted flowers and some cherry tomatoes and peppers. It has been raining since - good for the new plants!

Lisa - have seen some darkish vids over on youtube - but best of all was the description on the WWoHP Dis board... was a walkthrough of the ride - it DOESN'T go upside down and is smooth ish - wooohooooo - but sounds quite intense with dementors and spiders spitting at you, and smoke and snake bones and a horizontal lay back or 2. Some are film effects, some animatronic and in your face. It's going to be busy!!!

Good Morning Ladies!!

I have never seen a more appropriate thread "home" for me! May I PLEASE join you? (I'm not afraid of Tina's Ticker!)

I have just under 2 months to go and 75% packed.

Last night I tossed my toddler in "the disney stroller" and carted her around the mall as a test run to see how long she'd stay in there without whining. It was an epic fail. But... at least I have 8 weeks to practice. Not to mention she peed on the giant rubber bounce pad in the mini-playground... but that is totally so we'll just pretend I didn't write that

Anyways... I'd love to join you..?
