On our upcoming family trip to US/IOA my children would like to meet some of the characters. I would like to know which characters are there and where they can meet and get autographs from them. There ages range from 19 months to 11 years old so any and all would be fine.
And also do they sell autograph books there or would I have to purchase some before we hit the parks.

Thanks so much.

They sell Autograph books at the Universal Stores all over. We bought them for both of our children and they LOVED them! The characters are walking around everywhere. My kids love SpongeBob and we found him inside the Nickledeon store right outside the Jimmy Neutron ride. They will pose for pictures and sign your kids books. Have fun!

The Shrek characters as well as Dora and Diego and the Jimmy Neutron Characters, the Penguins and many movie characters are there. At IOA there are the superheroes.

These are off the top of my head there could be more and some could have been discontinued.:charac4: :charac4: :charac4: :charac4:

Make sure you go into the store ACROSS from the Spiderman ride to get great pictures and autographs of Spiderman. He is there a lot.

Thanks for the information. But, I do need to ask who is the man in the yellow hat?

The boys I know will really enjoy this very very much especially if I am able to time this trip with a TNA show ( I guess that is how you would say this).

I know that the little one will enjoy because she will be able to meet most of her Nick Jr. friends that she enjoys so much.

Thanks for the information. But, I do need to ask who is the man in the yellow hat?

The Man in the Yellow Hat is a character in the Curious George book series, movie, and TV show. He is given the name Ted Shackleford in the film adaptation of the book series. His last name is revealed only in one of the film's deleted scenes.

In the book series, he is George's friend and always keeps him out of trouble. It is never mentioned in the books where he works or what he does for employment. However, since the TV series is based off of George's perspective, and the movie is more on Ted's persepective, it is most likely that Ted works at the Museum in the TV series.

In the Curious George film, The Man in the Yellow Hat is called Ted and works at the Bloomsberry museum. He was sent by Mr. Bloomsberry to find the lost shrine of Zagawa. The shrine was only 3 inches tall, but with the help of George, he found a 40-foot tall one to save the museum from Junior. He also has a crush on an elementary school teacher named Maggie.

The Man in the Yellow Hat also frequently appears in the Curious George television program. He is never referred to by name in the television show (although the episode Curious George, Train Master has the character Mr. Quint almost saying his name when introducing him to his brother, but his brother recognizes him as a "man with the yellow hat"). The show, which happens to be more akin to the books, names him "The Man with The Yellow Hat" (note the "with" in place of an "in"). The show also gives the Man with the Yellow Hat his book series personality. Therefore, he is very passive and extremely understanding of the chaos George causes, unlike in the movie, where he was a somewhat mean nervous wreck. Although in the movie he first encountered George and his job was on the line. Things were back in order at the end of the movie which most likely shifted his personality to that of the books and the television series.

We had our photo taken with CG and Ted while I was wearing a Dudley Do-Right red hat. They hang out around Fievel's Playland.

I "met" a character inadvertently last time we were at USF. We were outside of Mummy, heading from the exit to return to the line. There were Egyptians on stilts, which I did not see till one bent down and nearly scared the pants off of me!! I've never seen 'em there before or since, but that was quite a shocker!!

I know what you mean, I spent a long time after the Mummy ride watching stilt-man scare the heck out of people exiting!

From my own experience the superheroes were the coolest and most impressive. Probably because they came out on 4 wheelers and did a bit of a show then actually talked with the crowds as they took pictures and such. Captain America really impressed me as you can see from my picture with him!!! It was quite the fanboy moment:love: As opposed to the giant headed Jimmy Neutron that just kind of stands there and waves since he can't talk.
