To the point, we need to find Mr Sparrow in May when we get to the World and can use any helpful tips you may have.

To babble a little: It's official, the last family on earth has FINALLY watched POTC! I wasn't sure we'd be all that into it but my brother talked us into renting the movie and we've seen all 3 a few times in the last month. My 5yr old saw the 1st one but I think that's enough for him till he's a little older. ANYWAY, every day we now play pirates and of coarse he is Captain Jack and I am Davy Jones. I recently saw pic's of him in someone's TR and now my wife and I are putting this at the top of the list for must do's.
Thanks guys, we ALL appriciate it.

;) We saw him last year (if I was computer savvy, I could even download pics) and my dd was picked for his skit. Very cute, and I'll be if he doesn't sound and look just like Jack Sparrow. I even used his pictures that I took for a pirate party, and everyone wondered how I had met him!
We stood outside of the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride waiting for him to come out. I don't have the times listings, but believe you can ask a cast member. He came out of the side of the ride as your getting ready to hit the gift shop. (If you were coming out of the gift shop, turn sharp right). There was a fence, and his pirate partner came out first towing a 'wagon'. Just make sure you stay there, and you're kids will love it!
Hope this helps!

CBR for our 25th Anniversary Oct 6-12th!:yay::yay::yay:

:thumbsup2 Thanks so much. We will do whatever it takes to see him that week! I have a feeling he will be talking about it for a LONG time.

You can find Captain Jack at Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial. It is right beside the attraction (to the left as your looking at it), near. I'm obsessed with this show (I have it completely memorized)! :lovestruc The times when we went were: 10:15, 11:20, 12:25, 2:15, 3:20, 4:25. In case they have changed, you can ask a cast member near the ride. Make sure you get there around 10 minutes early. As soon as Mack puts the rope down, go stand beside it and you will get a close up of Captain Jack. If you want your son to get picked to swordfight, have him raise his arm really high. No worries though if he doesn't get picked. Jack will pick more people to join his crew at the end of the show and you get a scroll. Even adults can go up if he picks you. I watched this show so many times on one of our trips that Mack started to recognize me. He actually picked me to swordfight! It was awesome!! :) I was the oldest one there (I was 17), since they usually only pick children. One more tip, I usually stand on the right hand side (as you are looking at the show). During one scene Jack will run right at you as he is demonstrating how to flee. If you can I would definitely watch this show multiple times on different days. The Macks and Jacks do change and some are better than others. Even though you usually can't get a picture or autograph with the captain, you can ask Mack for a picture after the show, once he puts the cart away. Since Jack does autographs during the Pirate and Princess Parties, you probably won't be able to get his autograph, but you could always ask either Mack or one of the cast members after the show. Well, I hope this helps you! Have a wonderful trip!!

You can see him at the pirate tutorial and it is tons of fun. Our kids did it two year in a row. This is my favorite ride. When we were there 2007 they had a place set up where you can go and meet Jack Sparrow. You walk into a room full of treasure and he comes out and plays silly games with the kids, signs autograph:cheer2:, photos.....My kids were thrilled and so were we. Unfortunately they did not have that in 2008 . Hopefully it will come back again.

Thanks guys! I just showed my wife the video and we can not wait for DS(5) to see Jack for the first time! He's gonna fall over!

If I recall, I agree with all the other posts that have been posted. It seems to me that I would run into the Captain Jack Pirate Tutorial almost any time that I was at the MK. It plays more than several times a day, and it's over toward the left of the POTC building (if you are facing the building). It's a cute show, and your kids could get picked to get pirate training. But yes, Jack runs off (literally) at the end, therefore there is no photo-op after the show (unless you snap some pics if your kids are picked to become pirates). Besides that, Jack doesn't actually have a photo-op, he isn't a walk around character in the park or anything.
I have always hoped Imagineers would build a photo-op themed area where you can go meet Jack.

You can see him at the Pirate Tutorial over by POC. He does not pose for pics, meet n greets, or do autographs. The only time he did was during the now defunct Pirates and Princess Parties. Occaionally if you are real nice to his handler he may go and get Jacks autograph for you. But that is not a gurantee.

i wonder if he will ever be available for photos now that all the P&P parties have been cancelled?
