Two of my friends and I have been planning since March to go November 2016 for Wine & Dine and the parks, Nov 4 -12. One of my friends has a timeshare, where we stayed last time and would again this time.
Unfortunately, though good for her, she's getting rid of the timeshare. However, this puts the trip in huge jeopardy since that was going to be our accommodations. She's also not sure she will be able to go now.
I have planned a trip before, but we stayed at the timeshare. I've read all about the planning people do staying on site or renting points. I'm not sure where to start looking for staying off site. I would like to keep the trip for at least the two of us, and if that's the case we could do a hotel instead of a condo. Though a 2bd condo would be nice.
Do I look on expedia? Are there vacation rental sites to look at? What areas are good and where should I avoid?
I'm trying to figure out if the trip is salvageable or if I need to just give up, which I don't want to, but hotel's can be a lot. I'm already doing things to earn extra money, so that's not something I can do more of.
Thanks!
