Looking for best compact camera for Disney

Hi, great pics! I was wondering if it was difficult to acheive? I don't know anything about photography. Will I be able to take pics this great if I buy the rx100? I am going to disney in 4 months and need to order a camera. I appreciate some advice, this will be a once in a lifetime trip.

I used the rx100 at Disney a while ago. It easily exceeded my older dSLR in low light performance.
In fact, I was able to get pretty good dark ride shots with it.

I actually found it to be the perfect Disney World compact camera.

Can an amature get pics this good with rx100?

Yes and no. Truthfully, my own photography skills have grown significantly since most of those pictures were taken 3 1/2 years ago. That camera kickstarted me getting serious about photography again, and in the last 6 months, I've even started doing some pro work.
The RX100 is an excellent camera. In the hands of anyone, they can likely get better photographs than they would with a budget P&S. That said, not all those pictures are just a matter of pointing and shooting. The fireworks shots required a certain knowledge, use of a tripod, etc. The dark rides shots required understanding of the exposure triangle. The Tower of Terror HDR shot required knowing how to use the creative modes within the camera. The sunset shot required actually being in the right place at the right time, knowing how to compose the shot, and how to bring out a bit more in post-processing.
So yes, a pure amateur can get some good shots. But the more you teach yourself, the more you learn, the better shots you will get.

I'll recommend Fuji. Why? For one, they are awesome. Way sexier than any other camera mentioned so far. Also, the Fuji thread here needs more contributors. :)

These were all taken at ISO 6400 and under. I have some shots floating around on SD cards shot at up to ISO 25600 but I'll have to find later.

I think I am leaning towards a fixed lens camera. I just bought a new lens for my DSLR that wasn't cheap. Not sure I am ready to invest in another camera that requires lenses right now....although I recognize that I will likely need an upgrade from my DSLR at some point. It's a canon 50D.

lenses don't have to cost an arm and a leg!
the little pocket size M and 22mm f/2 pancake cost only $250 and you can attach other lens like the 50mm 1.8

Different people have different ideas about the cost of lenses. To some people, a $200-$300 lens sounds awfully expensive. Other people consider any lens under $1500 to be cheap.

yes, everything's relative and the best lens are not cheap to most people. But lens tend to hold their value and you can find deals on camera buy/sell forums and refurbished
