We got our daughter a balance bike a few months ago. It is too big for her though. At first we figured we'd just wait until she grew a little but she is so eager to get on it that I want to get her one that will fit well. Does anyone have any experience with a particular bike that they really like and found to be durable that also adjusts small? My daughter is only 34''. I'm hoping to keep the bill under $150. Thanks!

We bought a Strider for our son. It worked well for him until the end of this summer, right when he was hitting about 37 inches. We originally bought it for him when he was around 34 inches.

The best feature of the Strider is how light weight it is. Some of the wooden bikes are so heavy that they are hard for little ones to pick back up when they fall. They're around $100 on Amazon and we resold ours for $50. Between that and selling our jogging stroller (an orange BOB), we were able to buy a really nice 16 inch bike that should last a few years.

ETA: We found that it adjusted to be the shortest of all the bikes we tried because of the geometry of the seat.
