Looking for bags my kids can wear in the parks....

My kids have been carrying their own bags since they were 5yo or so. When the now 12yo was 5yo the Disney Store's website had an entire line of affordable bags that could be monogrammed. I was able to get him a small messenger bag that lasted him about 6 years of trips and every day use to car around his Nintendo DS. It is disappointing that all they carry now are high end bags and backpacks. :-(

While my teenage daughter is fine w/ a string bag in the parks, they are definitely not padded enough for the 12yo to bring his phone and/or iPod. That's why we are looking at the sling back I posted above.

FWIW, I've never seen the need to bring multiple bottles of water. We each have a reusable water bottle and just refill them for free wherever they have soda machines.

We have these in both sizes. They have been all over DL, Washington DC, the zoo, Sea World, weekends at grandma’s, etc for over a year now and work awesome. I like that they are packable and can be stuffed into a suitcase to use later. They aren’t bulky and are so light, I never hear that they are tired of carrying them. The straps are very comfortable too. My kids are 10 and 13

I was about to post the same bag. Not expensive, very lightweight, we found it very handy during our trip this month.

I agree with the locker. The small ones are $7, we bring extra water and stash in the locker, and drop off/pick up sweaters, water, etc during the day. We usually park hop and like the lockers on the DCA side of the plaza. That area is never busy and there is a bathroom right there too.

Edited - we bring water bc I don’t like tap water. I’ll drink it but I end up drinking much much less that way, which isn’t good. Others may not need to bring water, but the $7 a day is totally worth it for me to have a place to stash things instead of carrying it all around.
We used a locker for the first time on our last trip and it was awesome. Will get one from now on.

We have these. Inexpensive, super light and wash up easily. We’ve been using the same ones for three years and they’ve held up great. My kids take them on field trips and over to friends houses as well. We decorate with Disney pins. We get asked about them just about everywhere we go.

Can the lockers be accessed throughout the day? So the $7 mentioned is for in and out use all day?
Thanks.
