Looking for an Old Key West owner...

This may be a bit early but, is there an Old Key West owner who might be interested in staying at the Beach Club Villas during the June 2006 use year?

We have 160 points at BCV and I am planning on banking 2005 pts and borrowing 2007 pts so that I can have 480 points available for use from June 2006 to May 2007. We want to take a trip with extended family late August/early Sept 2006. I would like to be able to rent a Grand Villa at OKW but I am worried that I would not get one at the 7 month window. Therefore, I am looking for an OKW owner who could make an 11-month window ressie for me and I would do the same for them at BCV.

A point- for-point trade is exactly what I had in mind. I'm a bit new at this, but I thought I read on these boards that you can only transfer points in OR out once. So I would make a ressie at BCV in your name with my pts and you would make a ressie at OKW in my name with your pts both at the 11-month windows for the desired weeks (day-by day if needed). Is this correct? If the weeks traded aren't exactly equal points, do we transfer the difference?




It looks like the week of Aug 27, 06 to Sept 3, 06 will work for my family's schedules. I can't find a point chart for 2006 yet. When do they get published? We have been DVC members since October 2002 and will be taking our second trip "home" in about 82 days

I'd probably just like to do a transfer since I'm not sure when I'd be using the points but yes, I'd definitely book a GV day-by-day, just to be relatively safe of getting availability. I've not transferred points either but have rented some out on occasion so I'd be happy to offer you references so that you'd know things have gone smoothly. Let me know.

The charts don't seem to vary much because DVC has little room to manipulate the point values. Just primarily Easter and Thanksgiving shift I think due to dates and Christmas and New Year's remain as they are.
