I would like to put an air purifier in my ds's bedroom b/c my house tends to be very dusty and he has asthmas & allergies. Any suggestions?

We've got two different types of Honeywell Hepa filters and they both work great for me. It's just hard to find the quiet ones now.

Consumer Reports recommends Friedrich brand as the best on the market. They can cost about $400.

We have a Kenmore, it works well but is noisey.

We've used a Sharper Image ionic breeze seems to work okay but cleaning them sometimes gets delays. Not sure how effective they are. Thinking I need to get some additional ones but would love to hear of others results.

We have EcoQuest Living Air filters in our house. We love them. Quiet, no replacement filters to buy. They are not cheap, but they work very well, and they are very easy to maintain.

I used a Honeywell Hepa air cleaner for years when my DS was younger and had acute asthma. He enjoyed the "white" noise from it and had a hard time adjusting to a quiet room when the air cleaner kicked the bucket and we didn't replace it.

We also have the ionic from Sharper image...quatro model , I think. It works very well IMHO, DS has not needed any meds for 8 mo's.....this is huge! It is extremely quiet, but kinda pricey...about $350. My Mom bought it for DS, she investigated it and wanted to help him out. What a Grandma!
Good luck in your search. Asthma can be sooooo tricky!
