My daughter and I are visiting DL in February. We haven't been in more than 10 years. We are very familiar with WDW and MDE. We will be staying at DLH on our DVC points. We have 4 day, 1 park, passes with LL. How does the DL app work in comparison to MDE? I have my tickets in the app. Can I also add my daughter's or does she need her own app? I know we need to make park reservations. Can I make them for both of us? What about making LL? When can I schedule them and can I do them for both of us? Any help and advice is appreciated.

The DL app isn’t identical to MDE, but it’s easy enough to navigate if you’re familiar with MDE. Yes, you can add your daughter’s ticket to your app & do everything for both of you from there. That includes reservations & LLs. You can book your 1st LL as soon as you scan into the park each day. Then your next either 2 hours later, or when you redeem the 1st LL.

You can make the plans but she will need her own Disney account if over 13. You will have to link the tickets together.

LL cannot be made until you scan into the park.

We loved the VDH rooms when we stayed this summer.

our tickets were all linked but realized that there wasn’t really and Friends & Family list. We all scanned each others tickets in the hopes we can all make LL purchases and not be tied to one phone? There are differences in the DL app compared to the WDW app that I’m more familiar with.

There is no way to "link" accounts like at WDW. So if you make dining reservations only you will see them in your account. Your daughter will not have access to them.

Both you and your daughter can have both sets of tickets link to your individual account. This is helpful because then either of you can book LL for both of you. Which unlike WDW you can not make until after you scan into the parks. Disneyland follows the old rules of LL. Booking 1 LL every 2 hours or after the latest one has used. You can modify the times and stack them for use later.
