We (DD14, DS12, DH and myself) have our trip planned for the week of Easter which is also our spring break week. I know it will be extremely crowded that week but how crowded is crowded?

We went to Universal the week of Christmas 2003 without FOTL and we managed to do only 3 rides in 8 hours (3 hours for Spiderman alone!!! Did anyone ever think of putting bathrooms along the queue lines??)
We thought we knew what we were in for but this pushed even my limits!!

Can I expect the same thing in WDW Easter week? We arrive on Tue 18th (after Easter Sunday) and will spend the first 3 days at Universal (staying onsite so we will have FOTL this time - yeah!)

We'll go to WDW on Friday the 21st and leave the following Tues.... We are staying on site and plan to do a park a day. So my question is do the crowds tend to drop off at the end of this week? Will the parks still have the extended hours (not EMH but just the longer hours) Should we just plan for the worst and hope for the best??

Thanks for any advice!!

Hey! We are going down the exact same time - 4/18 - 25th. I got MUCH cheaper airfare flying after Easter. I know that it will be VERY crowded due to Easter and lots of the Northeast on break, but it is still a great time to go weather-wise. We have gone the last two April's (this past one we were on the Disney cruise - awesome!) and we have had wonderful weather and not too bad crowds. Don't measure april after this year as it will be more crowded than we usually have it.

Are you flying Song out of Boston? If so, check your flights as they just changed some of them! I had to e-mail and they sent me my new flight number for departure, but I still can't find the new reurn flight. I got a GREAT deal back in June when I got round-trip for $175.40/per person so that is why we are going...still don't know our resorts...

You will be at Disney so it will still be fun...just plan for crowds! :)

My son and I are going on our 2nd Easter and 3rd April trip next year. :cool1:

I was just able to book MOST (still planning a few) of our PS for our trip. Disney will have the park hours for April posted in a few days. :cheer2:

I think the best away to enjoy an Easter trip (CROWDS) is to plan, plan, and plan.

Get to the parks at opening time, use fastpass as much as possible, and you should be fine.

My son (14) really wants to go to US/IOA but their hotels are way more than I'm willing to pay. I'm hoping I'll be able to purchase Express passes (I think that's what they're called) in advance.

We were there the week of Easter this past year. Wait lines were at least 1 hr waits some were even longer, test track was over 2 hr wait.

Thanks Eveyone!

I made ADR as soon as I read it on DIS. Since I wasn't sure about park hours, I just decided to go with the historic hours from past Easter/SpringBreak times and so far I feel OK, still a little nervous but hoping for the best!

Now that the hours are out I think this is how we will spend our time....What do you think? (We check out of Royal Pacific on Friday morning...~9:00)

Fri 21st - AK 12-8 (day before planned opening of Expedition Everest)
Sat - MGK all day with a break at the resort (This is a day after a EMH evening so I am hoping it will be not as crowded??? Schedule closing is for 12PM so does EMH mean a 3AM closing???)

Sun - Epcot all day.
Mon - EMH at AK to ride Everest(hopefully it is opened??) and then head to MGM for the rest of the day.

I did ADRs for;

Rain Forest @ AK 5:45 (not sure if this is a good time or not?)
Liberty Tree Character Dinner for 7:00PM
Rose and Crown for 7:10PM (Tried to time this for Illuminations, is this too early??)
Fantasmic Dinner Package

JESW: I love Song!! I can't believe they are moving this into DELTA... Hopefully they still offer the direct flight to MCO from BOS.

Last year we used SONG during Apr vacation to fly to Miami for a cruise and it cost us almost what the cruise cost so that is why I decide to move it to Tue-Tue....
