Looking for a Wii

Does anyone have any great suggestions on how or where to get one. They are really hard to find. Just wondering if anyone has heard if more are on their way!

There should be a large shipment coming to most stores mid-January. That's what everyone from Nintendo to Target have been saying.

I personally got mine from the Circuit City website - they had them up for about 10 minutes before selling out. There are several nintendo tracking websites that may help, but I found mine out of pure luck. This was after a day of calling every single store in a 30 minute radius that could possibly sell them. I just missed by minutes at a few stores, so there are some very small shipments still coming in to the stores. No one knows when or how many they will be receiving.

I'm looking for one too - just missed last week at 2 different Best Buys by a short time. The kids didn't ask for one for Christmas, but now have decided to combine their Best Buy gift cards they received and purchase a Wii. I told them they just need to be patient and hopefully they'll be available in a few weeks. I've seen plenty of PS3s while I've been shopping, so hopefully the Wiis will be in stock soon.

I was fortunate to get a Wii for my kids for Christmas, but my sister was still looking for one for her son, so I was helping her find one. It was one day last week, I think it was December 30th, we went to the mall to return some things and we went in to Gamestop to look at some games. I casually asked if they had any Wii's and the guy said "we sure do". So of course, being the nice sister that I am, I bought it for her. The guy on line behind me couldn't believe it either. I think at this point its just luck. I heard a couple of people went to Target and asked and they had some there. Anytime I asked at Target, it was always a "no". I know the Toys R Us near me didn't have any, but they had plenty of games and controller gloves (but no extra controllers).

I lucked into one on December 28 at Target. They were unpacking a shipment of 15 that had come in, and it was around 1 in the afternoon. I think at this point it's a matter of luck, but in a few weeks I expect they'll be much more available...

We found one at Toys R Us on Thursday 12/21 thanks to the Budget Board here on the Dis. There's a thread over there about finding the Wii & I was reading (for the first time) & someone posted that their TRU was getting a shipment that day so we made a few phone calls & a TRU 20 mins away had 16 of them when we called......we hopped in the car & drove directly there.....when we got ours there were still 4 left.
I think it's a lot like the previous poster said....being in the right place at the right time.

I have miss them by just a little while at Target and TRU. Today at Target the guy said they got three in and they had just sold them right before I can in. I think it will just be a luck thing right now. I really want to find one by my sons birthday party on the 15th of this month.

I've heard the same as what's posted above - mid-month there should be some coming out. Perhaps, to help boost sales of the new game - Wii Play?

We walked into Target this morning and we got very lucky and found 3 Wii's. The lady said they had just put them on the shelf......

I saw a BUNCH in the window of one of the stores in our mall (this was on Monday). I don't remember the name of the store as I never go in there....

We got ours on Dec. 26, by chance. Dh called EB Games to ask about a return- and "by the way, do you have any Wiis?" Yup- just got a shipment in. Never say dh run so fast in all my life. You have to be in the right place at the right time, and make LOTS of daily phone calls.

My friend and I got ours at Gamestop. They usually get shipments every Friday. Good luck, it's a great system.

We got ours from Etoys.com. TRu near us had some this week as well. I think it is just going to be luck.
