Looking for a Nice Resort in the Orlando Area

We're thinking of building a "down" day in our schedule for the week before Easter.

We're thinking of finding a nice resort that we'd want to hang around for a day either before or after our few days at Universal. By nice I mean a big zero entry pool, possibly a waterslide, maybe kids activities. We have 4 kids--boys 4, 10, and 12, and a 16yo daughter, so I know that finding activities that they'd all want to do would be close to impossible, so I'm looking for a variety of activities.

I've read about the Marriot Grand Vista, which seems nice and fits our needs. How about some other places that are equally nice (and maybe less expensive)? The resort doesn't have to be real close to WDW or Universal since we would not be going to any parks when we were staying there, anyway.

T&B - Have you looked into the Sheraton Vistana Resort. We have stayed there many times & have always been very pleased. There are 7 pools to choose from - one has a waterslide, two have squirting fountain things, one is a zero-depth pool, one has volleyball & organized games......... You can spend a whole day there and find something for all ages in your family & not be bored!

Sheraton Vistana Resort seems to be booked for my dates. I'll check again, and if still not available I'll keep it in mind for a future trip.

Hilton Grand Vacation Club - would be nice - it is across the street from SW.

Sometimes they are having a deal on it.

the zero entry is the problem - only the newest pools and places have it.

you might be better off finding a reasonable hotel - there are a lot in Kissimmee and going to a water park with the money you have saved.
