Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not. But I am looking for a nice beach resort, not too far from Disney. I have found some really nice ones at Clearwater, but was hoping to find something on the east coast instead. Any suggestion?

Thanks! :goodvibes

I have stayed at the whydam in daytona Ocean Walk. with a 2 night min I got a 1-bedroom ocean view for about 100$ a night. (off season) it was stunning, location was beautiful, and there was tons of stuff to walk to. including an indoor kinda- arcade/driving range/go carts place and an outside mallish thing. I would certainly go back again for the price.

I will check it out. Thanks!! :goodvibes

Try the ron jon surf hotel in Cocoa beach. Cocoa is the closest to orlando.

If you do go to St Pete, Tradewinds resort is very popluar among families. I have never stayed there, but I stay two resorts down at Postcard Inn. It's an older hotel, but very quaint. Much cheaper, but has a college crowd on weekends and holidays. I don't mind that it is older. I like the old fashioned surfer ambience.

Any particular reason you prefer the East Coast? I will say that the beaches/water are much nicer on the West Coast of Florida.

The Hilton Clearwater is pretty nice, right on the beach. Any particular price range?

Okay thanks, I will look into it. :goodvibes

Just a shorter drive since it is cheaper for us to fly into Orlando than Tampa.

I have looked at the Hilton and Sandpearl at Clearwater and they both look very nice. Can't really find anything comparable on the East Coast. We may end up driving to Clearwater...

As for price range - we'd probably go up to around $300 or so a night.

We love Ron Jons Cape Caribe. They have a little of everything at the resort, great pool with a lazy river and a huge slide, regular pool, splash pad, tennis court, basketball court, miniature golf, kids inside play area with arcade games and a movie theatre. plus a wonderful ocean front beach.

Understood. It's definitely closer, but the difference in beaches is worth the drive, in my opinion. Have you looked at the Don Caesar?
