Hi everyone. I bought a new cookbook a year ago that I have loved (Saving Dinner), but it's not low carb or low calorie. I love cookbooks and want to buy one that will give me healthy recipes (either lowfat or lowcarb - not sure which way I want to go yet - leaning towards lowfat). Do any of you have any cookbooks that are great for healthy eating? I just have to get this last 10 pounds off and I'd like for my entire family to eat healthily (is that even a word?) with me.

Thanks,
Lissa

Anything by Dawn Hall...Down-Home Cookin' without the Fat (or something like it) Busy People's Low Fat Cook Book (there's a Second Helping of that, too)

Very best for low-fat, in my opinion!

Good luck!

My DH and I have really enjoyed all kinds of recipes from Cooking Light Annual Recipes 2005, which we picked up at Costco but is available online as well. This cookbook includes all the recipes from the 2004 issues of Cooking Light, and we've yet to try one that we didn't like! Each recipe includes full nutritional info as well, so you can make your own choices for low-fat vs. low-carb vs. low-calorie, etc.

I would second the Cooking Light series. I don't actually have one of the cookbooks, but I subscribe to the magazine and have yet to try something that I didn't like. One caveat -- not everything is what I would define as "light," but they give nutrition info at the end of each recipe, so it's easy to monitor.

Thanks for the replies, ladies. We don't have a Costco, but I'll have to check our local Sams Club (and I was just there today, figures).

Lissa
