Looking for a good price on a 16 G IPAD

What do they generally run? I am a novice to the IPAD and have been asked to see what they are going for from my family. I thought that I would ask all you great bargain hunters about this. Any info and uses for it would be appreciated. Thanks!

An entry-level iPad w/ 16GB and Wi-Fi only starts at $499. The only 'reputable' deal would be the refurbished ones Apple sells on their site. Apple refurbs are *very* good deals--and tend to go quickly.

I have a 64GB Wi-Fi one and that cost about $699 + tax.

Things like the iPad are too popular to have deals right now. Apple doesn't have them. The only deals you might find would be a store giving out a gift card with purchase. But I can tell you that I haven't found any yet. Even the education and government discount doesn't count toward the iPad yet.
