Looking for a good hotel, please help!

We're going to DLR in January. We would like to stay at a hotel that has suites, not too expensive and within walking distance. What are our best bets? Thank you in advance!

I have stayed in most of the motels around DL. There are only two that I will stay in at this point -- #1 is the Howard Johnson's; second choice is Desert Inn. When we stay at the HoJo, we get two connecting rooms, each with two queen beds. It's a very nice arrangement. The Desert Inn is a much shorter walk but the HoJo is a nicer place. The parking at the Desert Inn is horrible unless you have a Smart Car. The HoJo has a very nice little store that has just about anything you would need or want; and the room entries are inside. I don't care for exterior entries, especially with small children.
