Looking for a BC thread.

Yes, there's a YC/BC FAQ thread that's very helpful.
BC is an awesome resort - very bright, nice large rooms, excellent pool. However, it might be too chilly to swim in Feb. - it was in 2003 when we went . Also, you share a bus with: Swan/Dolphin/YC/BC/BWI - it gets kind of frustrating if you are going to parks other than Epcot & MGM, which have boat trans. from BC. When I took my DD the 1st time, she was 6. We only spent 1/2 an evening @ Epcot & 1 day @ MGM. She was all about MK! We stayed @ BWI - it was brand new then, so that's why I chose it. It was also July & she spent a ton of time in the pool. Our next trip (6 mos. later) was spent @ WL so we'd be @ a MK resort. BC doesn't have a quick food area, like the Poly or WL. Beaches & Cream is yummy & you can get ice cream to go, but to get burgers, you have to be seated & there's often a wait. Just some things to think about with little ones before you plop down over $200 a night on a room. Once my DD got older & started enjoying Epcot & especially MGM - YC/BC has become one of our favorite resorts!

Thank you TWood. This is just the info. I need. I was thinking about splitting our stay. We are trying to escape from a the winter weather in Boston. Is the WL going to have a wintery feel? That is why I was thinking about the BC. Last trip we spent all our time at the MK and a 1/2 day at Epcot and we didn't have time for MGM.

TaraTink,
Here's a suggestion if you'd like to resort hop & don't want to spend the big bucks: try POFQ. The rooms were just refurbished. It's small & easy to get around. The value rates with codes are often $79 & you can request a standard view of the courtyards, which are very pretty. The pool is geared toward younger kids & there's a cute playground right by, and a hot tub. They have a decent food court with delicious beignets. You are first on & off the bus with only 1 bus stop @ POFQ. There's a boat ride to DD that's a "ride" in itself. www.allearsnet.com has some great pics of it & all the other resorts. Beginning our trip at a moderate & ending with a deluxe allows us to have more nights and/ or more spending money. Just an idea.:D

WL is very cozy, but it's also on the water, so once you go out on your balcony - it's breathtaking! BC is very sunny & "beachy" - bright , beautiful floral arrangements everywhere, and a big sandy beach right outside, rooms are adorable & bright (just redone recently) - if you plan to do MGM & don't mind the cost: GO FOR IT! Because the villas are there now, the gift shop sells lots of snacks - we buy our breakfast food there & eat it in the room since there's no quick place to grab a bite. There's a character meal @ BC that's fun & the food is pretty good. I just hope it's warm enough for ya'll to take advantage of SAB - it's a fantastic pool. The hot tubs are great, too!
