This one in particular, Rokinon HD8M-C 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye Lens.

Anyone use this lens???? Will be using it on a Canon T4i.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!

UPDATE: just found a smoking deal on e-bay thanks to another photography forum. This lens, sold by BuyDig, is $199 with free shipping. Canon-mount, not sure about other mounts. They have sold 391 with a limited amount remaining. I am one of those 391 :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: And to think I was going to purchase it through Amazon for almost $100 more!!

Here's a link in case anyone else is interested http://www.ebay.com/itm/310841409600?redirect=mobile

I have the generation before that one for Sony. If you're pixel peeping maybe it's not for you. But it's really fun and it's hard to beat the price.

I'm not a pixel peeper, but I do appreciate a sharp photo ::yes::

I have the Samyang/Rokinon 8mm fisheye. It is a very sharp lens when you nail the focus. Color reproduction and contrast are also excellent. It took a little patience for me to get a feel for how it focuses... with the wide focal length and narrower aperture it can be a little tricky to determine just where you're nailing the focal point at times. You just can't beat the price for this lens.

Love my Rokinon 8mm. I leave the Aperture around F8 for the sharpest pictures. I have used it on my Crop Canon 7D and on my Full Frame 6D. The 6D has to be cropped in post because of the Circular image (really a bulgy rectangle.)

Thanks everyone for the replies!!!

I guess I need to pick up a fisheye before my cruise in March. I would like to become familiar with it before then.

Great pics:thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing them!

Mike, I'm amazed at how many of those pictures I recognize. We've obviously been to lots of places together - with more to come.

Your pictures have always been good and I'm going to have to consider an ultra-wide angle...after I buy my ultra-tele. ;)

I am sure we will have many more.

Speaking of which, Ian and I are come down for SWW and Space Camp the first weekend in June. Christy will be joining us in the middle of the week and then back to WDW for father's day weekend.
