This year we are going to WDW and DS and DD are old enough to go off on their own occassionally (via Disney transport). I'm absolutely paranoid that they will end up losing their room key or tickets (DS is a shove everything in his pocket type of boy.) What does everyone use to keep their passes safe?

(I'm used to looking after everything for all 4 of us in the inside pocket of my bumbag.)

You can buy pass/ticket holders on lanyards. WE use those waterproof boxes on lanyards they sell for using at the water parks.

If the worst comes to the worst:

Disney is fully computerised. Go to the front desk of your Disney hotel and they will cancel your room keys & passes. They will issue new keys then & there, but you will probably have to call in to the ticket office at a park entrance to pick up your replacement tickets.

Some people suggest taking photocopies of tickets to make it easier to get replacements, but we never bother.

My wife lost her Annual Pass one year (or had it stolen) We reported it lost that night when we returned to Hotel. They cancelled it and next morning it was found outside the turnstyles at Animal Kingdom, where, I assume, someone found that it didn't work.

I used a lanyard and kept all four of our passes in them. I plan on letting our boys go their own way if they want to and will have to trust them also. Its DH I can't trust, he would insist on carrying his card in his trunks pocket at BB and then proceeded to go down summit plummit and wonders why he lost it and a photopass card at the same time. Guess who had to go and ring the hotel and explain what had happened, but they had a new one sorted out by the time we got back.

Thanks for your replies - will a lanyard stay secure on rides?

It's reassuring to hear how quickly Disney sorted out the missing tickets.

I always use a lanyard for mine and have never had a problem, as long as the little card holder is secure (try turning it upside down, whatever is inside shouldn't fall out) it should be fine :)

This ok if your park ticket is on your room key KTTW

It is recomended by most ticket suplyers as well as disney to photocopy the barcode as this is what they require to cancel and issue new ones.if this info not available there unable to isue new tickets, also can be done with origanal reciept

This is proberly why you dont need to photocpoy your pass as to get an annual you have to provide photo id,so when lost your on the system and you will just require photo id to get new ones
