Poohbear123,

Obviously we are a long long way from that, but with both our love for Disney that is a possibility.
:thumbsup2

Renee,

You are correct and from the sound of our calls and e-mails it can't come soon enough.

I went out grocery shopping today and bought:

Mostaccioli Rigati
Prego tradition sauce
Salad
Bottle Water (yes I'm actually going to have water glasses on the table and I'm not serving her my crap water from the tap).
2 small 187 ml bottles of Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon (finally get to use my nice wine glasses that my mom gave me).

I plan to go to party works Wednesday to get the table cloth, and stuff like that. I never figured that when my mom gave me her extra set of China and glasses that I would actually be using them.

Um Jason,

You do realize that your feeding "store bought" sauce to an italian girl (whose Mama can probably cook like the dickens!) :lmao:

Renee,

Thanks for reminding me your a real help. However that's what the wine is for so she can forget that fact :teeth: .

Just wanted to wish you luck with your new romance. This thread is so sweet! You sound like a great guy, it is great to hear you sounding so happy!

Ready to go in Ok,

Thanks. The more we grow closer the more and more we fall in love. I still can't believe that I am saying that, nor can I believe that I'm able to tell people that I have a girlfriend.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Sorry, couldn't help myself!

Renee,

The cool thing is that I finally get to use the nice crystal glasses, china and nice silverware, my mom gave me when they moved to Wis. I never thought I would be using them, but I guess they will come in handy. Trust me when I told Toni that, she was all over that idea. It's going to be interesting to see that table with both a water and wine glass on it.

Jason,
I didn't read through the whole thread, but I am glad everything went well. That is cute that she was as nervous as you were. I remember reading your post that you couldn't sleep.

Jason, I am so happy to hear your date went so well! :thumbsup2

Jason - I think it is

MAGICAL!!! Congrats and best wishes. I love to see a happy ending!!

NJOYURLIFE,

Yes I was really happy to find out that she was as nervous as me.

Rootskate,

Thanks. We are really happy with how this went and it gets better and better each day.

BuzzBoyMom,

Yes it has been very magical and we are loving every minute of it.

:surfweb: Mornin'...

So, today you're off to the purchase the tablecloth etc..?

Renee,

Yep. I'm running over to party city at lunch to see what I can pick up there. I'm going to try and pick up:

Tablecloth
Napkins
Candles (I never thought I would say that)
(am I missing anything)

That leaves Thur and Fri as my cleaning days at home.

The great thing about our new plans is that while she is on her way to my place, I can be making dinner and getting the table set so when she shows up at 5ish on Saturday everything will be ready.

:thumbsup2

Sa-weet!!!

...and if you ever want a spaghetti sauce recipe, I'm sure there are a bunch of us who'd share with you ;) :lmao:

Renee,

Cute.....

If I'm serving food on nice china and glasses, I take it that it would be bad form to serve it on a plastic table cloth and paper napkins correct. I don't mind going out and buying the nicer stuff, but I wanted to see what you thought.

:scared1: :scared: EEK!

No, no paper or plastic! (oh...I sounded like a bagger at the grocery store there :rotfl2: )

Yes, do invest in a real linen tablecloth and matching napkins. With the way things have been going, you'll have use for them again and again and again! :woohoo:

I second the thought on a cloth tablecloth and cloth napkins.

Go to TJ Maxx or Marshall's and you'll be able to get a tablecloth and a 4-pack of napkins for about $20 and you'll have them to keep.

If you're feeling rich, buy a new kitchen towel to keep out on the counter or on the stove door so she doesn't see your usual ones. Mine, although not tattered, mostly have stains on them that won't come off. For $2.99 in TJ Maxx, you can buy a new one that will be nicer than an old one.
