Look what I've got

Woohoo Lee:banana::rotfl2::cool1:You did it!! Welcome to the DIY gang. Did you book through uk site? Congratulations on the smoking as well. You can do it gal;):lovestruc

Thanks guys. Yes, new to this DIY thing but I feel so much more relaxed about this one. Of course there are still flights to sort out :rolleyes1

But if I can kick the nicotine, I can handle the flights. (A bit of self motivation going on here :rotfl:)

I am so pleased to read that you have booked another trip! That was super cute of your daughter to offer her pocket money to help!!! I am sure that she will love the planning - my daughter got into it for next year which was the first time she was interested. She calls herself a "winger" (like her Dad) lol.

Also very very good on the smoking. My DH will be stopped 10 years at Christmas - I would love to add up how much we have saved - couldn't afford for him to restart. :)

Lol,your DD  Mine is not a winger at all. Since she was a toddler she was one to make up a game and spend an hour with the preparations and instructions and 5 minutes playing it. She is a planner! But this is the first time she actually suggested when we got back that she help with the planning so I am going to bring her fully on board with itineraries, ADRs, etc. Knowing her she will want to understand the systems too  I do owe it to the next generation to train her up in all things Disney though :lmao:

I have had countless unsuccessful attempts to quit my nasty little habit but for some reason I feel so committed this time. Everyone's encouragement was enormously helpful here too. This is that iffy time - the first hurdle to get through. No real cravings but feeling out of sorts because I have to change my habits (like keep away from the back door :rolleyes1) No doubt I will have no trouble keeping myself busy now though.

Have not been on here much lately just read your thread - congratulations :banana::banana::banana::banana: - have you told Tove now? What did she say?

So pleased for you both to have something to look forward to, and well done on giving up smoking :goodvibes

Thanks. Yes, Tove's friend's mum was a little late bringing her back tonight so I was beside myself at the door and then the girls went up to play for 10 minutes so it took a while. Oh I was fidgeting like crazy! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Anyway, I told her and she is so excited to help with the planning. I am pleased too - she is a real little planner.

How are your plans coming along? Oh and OT, but is your new avatar pic from a resort photo session? It looks great!

Lol, I only saw the dolphin when you pointed it out and I looked closer. Did you have it enlarged to frame it somewhere? That's a great family pic!

We did the resort session and I thought of putting a pic in my avatar. I was so pleased with it and wondered if you had done one too.

you should put yours as your avator. No we did not have time to have it done, though it would have been lovely to have done so. We bought the official CD at discovery cove so have some lovely photos as well as our own. :goodvibes

Well done for booking again for next year, nothing better to cure post Disney blues!
Don't know how you managed to keep your last trip a secret for so long, we are telling our girls at Christmas that we are going back next August, but I have nearly let it slip on a couple of occasions already!!

can i ask am i right in thinking you got 15% of the room price with free dining? if so is that only on selected dates and hotels? Is it a bit like the saratoga 42% off discount?? Did you book through disney UK or USA for this deal?

Great news....we will be in WDW from the 22nd September to the 6th Oct.

happy planning

I have never looked at Kids menus until these past few weeks, Matt has eaten eaten adult meals as long as I can remember, much rather have a plate of pasta & chicken to a burger or nuggets. Last night we went out with relatives, his cousin (she is same age, 16) had burger Matt had Ribeye steak.
Now I am looking as our God daugter is going with us next August, age 3. What a poor selection they offer at most places. If it had been Matt I would have bought him an adult ticket (£27 more for 14 nights) and got him adult meals but Lily is a tiny 3 year old so she should be ok with kids and some of ours.

Wayne, we actually found the childrens food ok....my DD was 4 when we went last year and she was able to have salad, which she loves, in lots of places. She had chicken drum sticks at the flame tree BBQ and lots of places would do her a small adults meal as she's not one for Mac and Cheese or chicken nuggets constantly!!!!......I always asked for alternatives.....it's Disney and most places were accomidating:thumbsup2......I will be doing the same next year for DD

Yes. Booked with Disney UK. Did it over the phone and it came up cheaper than the same dates etc online. I was going to put a courtesy hold on it, but the CM mentioned that the 15% room discount ends today. She didn't know what the new offers would be.

So it was POFQ room with 15% discount
Free dining (2 adults)
14 day ultimates tickets

I didn't know about the discount at all. I have no idea if it was for selected dates. I would assume so though.

You'll be glad you held out to tell them though. The looks on their faces will be worth it. And it's not too long to Christmas now ;)
