severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 21 miles
southwest of animal kingdom...or 13 miles northwest of
auburndale...moving northeast at 50 mph. This storm has had a
long history of rotation and produced a waterspout as it moved
over macdill air force base as it moved near tampa.

Arrived here Friday about 45 minutes late because de-icing in Mpls. took a while. Only had carry-ons (thanks, Owner's Locker!) so went right to rental car garage. Got a new Kia minivan with only 533 miles. Randy's Mobility met us in the BWV lobby to deliver the scooter. Got a 1 bedroom HA room in Nazarren's (our favorite mousekeeper) station. Had dinner at Bahama Breeze and got our groceries. Had gelato at BC and went to bed fairly early, since we had been up since 4:00 a.m. We will be taking it easy today in preparation for our trip to the Kennedy Space Center tonight for the launch of Shuttle Endeavor at 4:39 Sunday morning. I'll be going to Saturday vigil Mass and the bus will pick us up at the Swan at 9:00 tonight. I'm no good at all-nighters but there are only a few more shuttle launches before the program ends and this is probably our last chance to see one. Praying that it is not cancelled or postponed beyond our stay.
The weather will not be particularly warm while we are here (in fact, we will be waiting on the causeway for the launch in 43° temps!) but a few days will be in lower 70°s and that beats the snow and cold at home!

We are only here for a week, leaving Fri. Feb. 12. I am trying to think positive after several failed attempts in the past to go to a launch at the causeway. The tour package is non-refundable, so another reason to keep our fingers crossed.
