little pricey but cool experience

my kids would like to do japanese cook at the table
but that always makes me sick
like in, spending half the eve at hte restaurant bathroom
and then being done for the night, back to my own potty

DH is feeling neglected by all my planning fun!

My DD's are having a heyday planning for this party
which starts at one

they have decorations
food
games (egg toss, hot potato with water balloon, swimming, capture the flag)

DD13 might have a career as an event planner
she was awesome with DD10's last birthday party
and a huge help to the neighbor at the amusement park, so I hear

They blew up balloons, pink and yellow only
tied them together in bunches
which looks really cool
and are tying them around the pool
to the mailbox
to the gazebo

So far it is hot and muggy here, no rain, but it looks like rain.
THe DD's are busy decorating for the party.

We are having hotdogs and lots of chips and dips
and chocolate chip cookies
plus whatever anyone brings to share


DH is in charge of the grill.

I hope it doesn't rain here or at Snow's , especially!
I can take the kids inside, Snow will probably have too many guests to do that!

We have already had our downpour so I hope we won't get anymore rain! It is so muggy out right now!

I think we are expecting around 50ish people...no way can they all fit in our little house! We have a tent in the backyard

What kind of cookies are you having Snow?

Two different folks called me this morn
to warn that that Jehovah's Witnesses were canvassing the neighorhood
I saw them when I ran to the store for hot dog buns

they were gone when I returned
and now girls are arriving for the party
and they all use the front door
which I hate

and didn't I just answer the door to the Jehovah's Witnesses
thinking it was another tween for the party!

Well, it was muggy and cloudy and rained for a half hour or so, right at 12:30
then it turned into the most beautiful pool day ever!

The girls played in teh pool, played in the yard, and then got back in the pool
I finally shooed them out at 5:30 since I was sick of the humidity and wanted to come inside the nice cool AC!

They are out playing kickball right now
and want to have a bonfire later
two girls are STILL here, plus the neighbors

the part was supposed to be over at four

I guess pool watching is too much for him!
He was my helper today, and the chief griller of the hotdogs.

Tomorrow after church
my inlaws want us to come up
and visit
and let them take us out to dinner
at a local italian restaurant
for our anniversary
which was in May
we have been so busy with the kids
we haven't got to celebrate with them yet
(they want to take us out as a present for our anniversary)

Italian food is very high in carbs

I am trying to eat low carb
so my new swimsuit is fabulous looking


oh well,
I can always go back to low carb on Monday

I can't believe the girls are not smoldering in this muggy heat!
They are going through a lot of popsicles, that must be the key!
