Look for Lime Green Mickeys next week

We're leaving on Saturday for WDW. I almost feel guilty being excited after the horrible devastation that has hit MS, LA and the gulf coast of my state, Alabama. I find myself crying everytime I see something on the news so I think it will do my mind some good to take a break for awhile...what better place than WDW.

Back to the reason for this thread...I've already got my lime green Mickeys ready to go on my stroller and slingback, so to all you fellow DISers who are visiting next week (lime green Mickey or not), please say HELLO if you spot the lime green Mickeys and I will do the same. It will be great to meet some of you!

Lastly, let's all remember to keep all of those affected by Katrina in our thoughts and prayers. MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA AND BLESS US ALL!

10 months old.....and we also will have our 9 year old son with us as well.

but yes look for the wobbly walking 10 month old...there we are.

Just as a side note, the last time we went to Disney was 6 days ater 9/11. Now 7 days after Katrina- My DH said maybe we shouldn't go to Disney, there's always some disaster.
To keep America save this will be our last trip for a while.

My DS and I will be there Sept 10 - 17. Although we have saved very hard for this trip and are very excited, I can't help but to feel guilty about enjoying such a wonderful time while so many other families are in so much devastation and despair. Anyone else struggling with this emotion. I don't live in the US but I can't help but to feel so heavy in my heart for those who have lost so much.

I cannot believe. I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!

I have been going back and forth with the emotions of Katrina also. However, I have talked with a few people that were affected and they asked me to try and not let it upset my vacation. Of course, that made me feel a tad bit worse. How can someone who just went through that be sooo considerate.

Anyway, I will be at POP from the 2nd to the 8th with lime green on my bags. Hope to meet some of you.
