When, where, for what (ride, food, etc) did you wait the longest in line?

where do you draw the line?

for me, I went to Disneyland the summer that the Indiana Jones ride just opened. I think I waited in line 3 or 4 hours for that. This was pre-fastpass era. We figured, we're there, we're not going back anytime soon... what the heck.

so I guess we're not really good at drawing the line!!

I can generally wait a half hour - but for my niece first trip (back in 93) 2 hours wait for Dumbo - but the child definitely loved it!!!!

We waited 2 1/2 hours after MK park closing last September on a Saturday to get on disney transportation to go back to ASMo. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever again will I stay at a value resort, fortunately we were only there for 2 nights. That was enough, what can I say? I'm a princess princess:, this certainly wasn't up to princess (or Disney) standards!

We waited 2 hours for Splash Mountain once, and as we got to the boarding area, a lightning storm rolled in and they shut it down!! Not fun!!

45 Minutes for Pooh's Hunny Pots. it was totally not worth it. 20 minutes will be my longest next time....or a fast pass.

Space Mountain/3 hours/1974 (with annoying little brother)

Splash Mountain/2 hours/1995 (with annoying kids of my own)

I guess there are 3 things you can count on; death, taxes and the lines at the WDW mountains.

Some of you are definetly diehards. For us the longest was about 1/2 hour and it was for Test Track. This is my absolute favorite ride!! However, that's about where I draw the line. I'll move on if the wait is really any longer than that.

3 hours at Splash Mt in '99. It was my first trip to WDW and I didn't know any better. If I remember correctly it was about 2 in the afternoon....what an idiot I was!! Now I don't wait much more than 30 minutes.

I think my longest wait in line, Disney related, would be either Space or Thunder Mountain back in 1989 in the middle of the summer. I remember waits of 90 minutes to 2 hours. Now, with fast pass, I rarely wiat more than 30 minutes for anything.

90 minutes for Splash Mt on New Year's Eve '98/'99. Just me and DD (then 21) for the day - even though it was so crowded that they closed the park at 9:30 AM, we had a wonderful day - just enjoyed our time together even when standing in line - and not having any little ones along made it really easy (and different) for us !! Thank God we now have FASTPASS ! ! ! !:smooth:

In the Fast Pass line for Test Track, 75 minutes. This was on July 4th and the ride kept shutting down due to rain. I think that was the reason.
I kept telling DBILS that the line would start moving, so we all stuck it out. It was miserable. They finally closed stand by and announced that only one stand by person would be allowed on per x number of FP holders. I think it was 15 or 20, some crazy number like that. We still didn't see many people leave the stand by line.

Other than that, thirty minutes is my max wait limit.

In August of 2003 we waited for 2 1/2 hours in the pouring rain for Fantasmic. I've never been wetter in my whole life.

3.5 hrs NYE for Test Track....it was safer then trying to fight the crowds....

The longest time I EVER waited in line was 5 and a half days, to get Garth Brooks tickets - very interesting expirience and GREAT SEATS.

Longest line at Disney - we always go during off season so I'd say I never remember waiting longer than 1/2 hour

Where was that picture of Joanna taken? It is wonderful!

Thank you!!

The picture of my niece was taken just outside the Living Seas exhibit. She just loves to pose for pictures.

Ready for this? Disney Neophytes that we were, we waited 90 mins for the boat ride in The Land in Aug 1983, when Epcot was all shiny and new.

In Aug 1997, we waited 90 mins in the styfling heat to "experience" Alien Encounter. I was so ticked off at my son for making us go on that ride, (and scaring his sister), that I made him ride Small World (no lines, no waiting). ;)

1999: Waited 2 hours 15 minutes for Splash Mountain. Didn't draw any "line". Back then waiting in line was part of being in WDW.

2004: Waited 45 minutes for Chef Mickey's WITH a priority seating. Waited 30 minutes for Splash Mountain in the Fastpass line.

You must be a rather unlucky princess to have had to wait two and a half hours for transport back to the All Star Resorts. We were recently there for two weeks, at a busy time and the transportation was so frequent that it's hard to imagine a wait like this. In any case, I don't see that this is a true reflection on the quality or standards of your resort choice. I have experienced much worse service after paying much more to stay at so called luxury hotels.
