Longest you ever stayed on Disney property?

Hi,

DH & I spent three glorious weeks during F & W three years ago at SSR, our DVC home resort.

Past two years, we have spent a week at SSR, then a 7 night Disney cruise, then return to SSR for another seven nights in a one-bedroom. Heaven!

We come from the Arctic in Northernmost Canada , so we stay for a long time each time. BTW, it is -34c here tonight and dropping.....brrrrrr!

Thank god for DVC!

Holy Cow! Just curious, what do you do up there for a living?

:scared1: We are losers! :rotfl2:

Holy Cockroaches! I am so telling my husband that our measly 8 nights is NOT long enough! :rotfl:

I am also going to tell him that now that we are new DVC members (for a whole week now).. the peer pressure is strong and we need to fit in with the "groupies"! :hippie:

:rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: LOL!!!

We are in the same situation..... the most we have spent before being DVC Member (wow!! how cool does it sounds!!) were 9 nights.

So, hope now we are proudly owner of a little bit of BLT we can talk about two or three :cool1: weeks!!!

Our longest was 10 nights, only due to a snowstorm up north last Feb, but I met a couple a few years ago that spends a month at OKW every winter. They get a 2 BR when their family comes down, and switch to a studio on weekends. Sounded good to me!

We're haven't made our first trip as DVC members yet, but I think my previous record was just 9 days. I don't think we'll often (if ever) do much longer stays than that. Much as we love WDW, we like to travel to other places too much

Using DVC points, our longest stay has been 7 nights. However, we have stayed for 6 consecutive weeks at Fort Wilderness in our RV. Even 6 weeks is nothing compared to the people on site 1825 that stay (leave their RV) at FW 365 days a year! I guess you can never get enough Disney. :worship:

I talk to some people from LA that stay for months at FW. They were so fun to talk to. We ate at Trails End one night in Nov. and we saw all the lights and decorations so we walked around and checked them out. One Lady arrives in mid Oct. and stays til mid March sometimes. Very cool.

I'm a 'snowbird' and spend the winter down here (about 3 months total).

Of that, 24 days are at DVC (not consecutive), the rest offsite Orlando timeshares (love those II getaways!), or at the beach in the Ft Myers area.

One time in early January while staying at OKW, I noticed a parking pass on a car that was good until late March!

Last year we went for 13 nights, 6 at POP (free dining, extended family and friends, 6 rooms), 2 at AKV (for AKV opening) and 5 at BCV. It was so much fun, we did not want to go home. I can't wait for 2010, I plan on taking DD for 2 weeks in January.
:cool1:

In the past we have usually done no more than 8 days per trip, in February I will be doing 10 days. The first five will be for a convention at CSR then 5 more with the family at VWL. I am looking forward to this trip:thumbsup2

For me, 12 nights. I spent 6 nights at OKW with DH and DMIL, then another 6 nights at BCV solo. I really envy all you people who can stay with family for long periods of time. Unfortunately, DH has a job where he can't take more than 1 week's vacation at a time.

The last two trips we did we stayed 12 and 11 nights-which still didn't seem like enough! We want to do 14 full days that do NOT include travel days! We love traveling and live in Europe right now (Americans abroad) but as much as we like other places to see-we still take half a dozen disney trips a year! (This includes weekends at Disneyland Paris or Anaheim when we live in Phoenix). We are junkies!! :rotfl:

Just got home on Monday from 12 nights-first time at our DVC! :)

I think our Oct 2007 trip was the longest at 10 nights (8 at SSR & 2 VB). Normally we're stay around one week.

8 nights has been our longest DVC vacation, 3 nights at VB and 5 at WDW.

Bobbi:goodvibes

Last Feb. we spent the entire month in a studio at SSR, followed by a week in an inn room at VB. This coming year we have the last week of Jan. reserved for an inn room at VB, followed by 28 nights in a studio at SSR, followed by another week in an inn room at VB. We will probably make a couple of other trips to the world during the rest of the year.:cool1:

10 days pre DVC membership at Swan during hurricane Charlie. We wouldn't stay that long again.

Wow! I'm so jealous! How do you all get so much consecutive time off of work? I have off all summer but my hubby only gets 10 days every 6 months!

Maybe in another 30 years when we retire..then we can have ultra long stays down there!!!!

Ours was 15 nights this past summer which included BWV, VB, and AKV with 5 nights on the gulf coast. This summer we are planning on about 20 days!:goodvibes

I work part time and my job is somewhat flexible. My husband now works for the City of Portland and was able to take three weeks off after 1 1/2 years, because he took some comp time for overtime worked! We feel pretty fortunate to be able to do that!
