Which attractions (in order if you can) have the longest lines in all of Disneyland???? Which ones are the ones people run for first thing in the morning?? Also which are never as bad as you would think?

Do you mean longest queue by distance or waiting time? Peter Pan is probably the winner in Fantasyland. SM definitely for Tomorrowland. HM, IJA, and JC all have long lines, but they move pretty fast.

1. Nemo
2. Peter Pan
3. Space Mountain
4. Splash Mountain (in summer switch the with Space)
5. Indy

I also would add HMH

HM at night is usually short and the line always moves fast! Potc and IASW are also fast loaders.

I agree with peter pan. We usually don't go on it because we don't want to wait an hour in line. Space and Splash have FPs so they are not bad if you know about the machines.

Autopia.

Even if you have a FP.

Autopia's line has hidden spaces and back areas you can't see until you're in 'em, basically...I waited nearly an hour with an antsy son who desperately wanted to ride, and gosh I hope I never ever choose to do that again. Get on it as close to opening as possible (meaning unless it's a day you have MM, you can't do it on the same day as Peter Pan) or just skip it.

And the worst part of it is...I don't really go during busy times! Except for the ladies trip last weekend, we've managed to time our trips at nice, slow times with very low lines. But not Autopia!

That's how I feel about Indy. Even with FP, you still have so much to walk through and a big waiting time. Of course, this clearly doesn't deter me as we still ride it several times each trip. :lmao:

I second this...Autopia is horrrrrible! Far worse of a line than Peter Pan.

Peter Pan is a slow loader and they cannot add vehicles so that is first

Autopia has that hidden stadium where you switchback over and over then there is the loop around the tower and over hill and dale and through the ...

Splash Mountain rules as longest line. In reverse here is how it goes.

you go in the building and turn right then a left up stairs and more stairs then across the building then right and down a long ways then right and around and down to the loading dock.

If it is really long then you start in line then meander around a hidden then along the side of the ride until you get to the above building. 2 hours is the longest line there and it is often and hour or more.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFN9oSkWxAothat shows the secret forest line at bout 3 minutes into the tape

Mansion has hidden lines and can be long like Space Mountain and Soarin.
Always do Soarin first thing in the day as I can ECV my way into a ToT fastpass.

Is this just DL..Toy Story mania in DCA has long lines but they move quickly and it is so worth it. I will ride Peter Pan no matter what. I agree..Autopia is a nightmare and Nemo takes forever also. I love Indy..I'll run to that one and Soarin first. There never seems to be a line at Star Tours anymore..

Ok I never do that one and I have to say I soooooooooo agree it is a terrible line (for a not great ride :rotfl: ) I would add that up pretty high.

I wanted to add the three rides that run out of Fp's first are Splash Mountain in Summer, Space Mountain and Indy. I would think Autopia would also be on the list but I have no idea as I do not ride it as I said.

You guys forgot Nemo.

That's the one that many many people are running for first thing at opening, both on MM and regular days. If you're not in the first wave of people to get on, the line can be 45 minutes or longer within the first 10 minutes of opening. Frequently it stays busy all day, although some people say it moves faster than the time posted, i.e. 30 minutes instead of the posted 45.

Bad thing about it, is it's a slow loader-- low capacity per hour, especially compared with, say, Space Mountain or IASW, which have very high capacity. And, it doesn't have FastPass.

Peter Pan also doesn't have FP, and so it's another one that people run to get on first thing in the morning.

Space Mt, Indy, Splash and BTMRR can all have huge lines, but yay for FP! :cool1: Collect those FPs early in the morning and come back after your midday break and use them all right in a row, bypassing those hourlong lines!

Man, I heard so many bad things about Autopia on here, before we went, that I never rode on it, and never wanted to!

Over in CA, the big "run for it" ride is TSMM, but single rider is a good option if you are able to use it. Also, that's another one that loads pretty fast. People run for Soarin', too-- I just run and get a FP for it, for later.

good thread...especially the posts about Soarin'. i've never ridden it yet and am planning to do so in may. now i have my plan...grab a FP for soarin, head to TSMM, walk around paradise pier, lunch at ariels, then use FP for soarin before heading back to the hotel for an afternoon nap! :thumbsup2

Morning: Nemo
Afternoon: Nemo
Evening: Nemo
In between: Ladies' restroom :rotfl:
15 minutes after park closes: tram
Eternally: wait list for Club 33 ;)

Maybe a dumb question but, is NEMO still open at night? Doesn't it need to be light out to see some of the underwater stuff? I haven't been there since it was 20,000 Leagues and I don't remember...

Nope, doesn't need to be light outside. Nemo runs all day long, light or dark. And the trick to the line is.... get in line 5 minutes before the park closes. Even if that line is 2 hours long, you will ride.

Haven't seen it mentioned and it is a special case, but if you have a child who is between 40" and 48" and they want to ride the Orange Stinger be prepared for a LONG wait. My daughter waited an hour yesterday. They only have 4 of the tandem seats that you have to ride in if you are between those heights. Most of the lines were short, and the line for Orange Stinger was 5 minutes, but if you have to wait in that special line you'll be there for awhile. Had to do it, though, she really wanted to ride it, and loved every minute or I guess the whole minute of it!

Admittedly I don't go at the busiest times, but even when the Nemo line was longer I have found it a pleasant wait. That queue and TSMM don't really bother me (if I don't have an option); for some reason the wide aisles with interesting switchbacks don't bug me, and since Nemo is outdoors there's some prime people-watching!

re: Indy...if you can, I strongly suggest the Single Rider line. It was brilliant! I thought I was just going to go into the main line at the big rotunda room before the movie, like the rider switch line I've experienced there before, but instead of that, after waiting a bit there, the CM had me go across and I got into the accessible line instead! Awesome. Since I'll be doing that line singly anyway until DS grows another 3 inches anyway, I might as well use the SR line instead of FP it or wait standby!

What a great thread! I have cut-and-pasted much of this advice into my tip sheet. I haven't been since just before they opened Nemo, so it's nice to know to either do it first thing or very last.

Also thanks for the heads up from marsrunner on the Orange Stinger. I have two kids between 40-48 inches, so it will be a really long wait if we choose to do this (I'd prefer not to at all -- I don't do circular motion well:upsidedow )
