Longer camper at pop up site?

Hi! I have guests wanting to book at the campground, but the full hook up spots are all taken. Their camper is actually a few feet longer than the 25 feet Disney has listed. Would they be able to book a pop up site? Obviously they wouldn’t have water/sewer hook ups, but could they still squeeze into that spot or would they be forbidden to do this? TIA!

Disney does not allow hard sided trailers in Pop up sites. Now that being said, others have seen them there. But Disney also reserves the right to make you move to an appropriate site with increased fee. So if a Meadows Premium was available your guest could be forced to move there and pay the additional costs. Would having to pay hundreds of dollars all of a sudden ruin their trip ? Is it worth the risk ?
And the longer the camper the more it is going to stick out like a sore thumb and attract attention. Our First trailer was 25ft, but with the tongue and bumper was overall, 32 ft.
And not all the sites are the same, so what if they ended up on a site that is only 20 feet long ?? Disney's listing is the average site length.

It will probably fit, but as stated they may move you. Also there is no dump stati9n at the fort. I got in a pop up site but they moved me 1/2 way through my stay. I had a pop up when i booked, but things changed and i ended up with a TT when i went. No one at disney could g8ve me an answer of if i would be alowed in or not, and there wasn't any sites left. I went, they gave me the date at the front gate of when i was to move. I will say, depending on the site, and rig some spots may be hard to impossavle to back into, other will be easy. My camper was about 32 feet, but that was expanded. So its less then 25 and with a full size truck was hard to back in due to trees, and permanent gatbage cans , etc. So its a gamble. And the rules say no. It all depends if they decide to enforce the rules or not.

Like many other areas of the Fort the "pop up" loops have some generously sized sites and some really tight ones. I would guesstimate that a 25ft trailer would fit in less than half of them. The other posters above make some good points.

Pretty sure there is RV parking at the front of the Fort. They could bring a tent and leave their RV in the parking lot.

Im sure a lot of RV guests would like to stay in the tent loops because it is cheaper and at times have more availability, but staying there is against policy over a certain length and the sites aren’t designed for large and heavy campers.

It’s also really annoying to have neighbors running air conditioners and other loud electric noises 24/7 because tent walls provide no sound protection. At least in the tent loop I’ve been lucky to not have that on both sides of me except for a few days.

Last time I hadn't been texted a site number for my partial reservation at the time I arrived (after doing online check in), so I was directed through the check in lanes with my 20 foot TT; the girl checking me in had to see I was bringing a travel trailer to a partial loop and didn't say a word about it. There were at least 9 travel trailers on a less than half full 2000 loop. I've stayed on a partial the last two times (Feb. and May) and there have been several smaller travel trailers each time. Some of the 1500 loop spots would be hard to maneuver anything other than a really small TT into.

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but just got back yesterday from a 2 night off site followed by 5 nights at the fort in a partial site, they had the 2000 loop closed for refurb, so we were all in 1500. Left Friday morning and 2 trailers had checked in Thursday that had to be close to 28 feet.

Your friends will be fine. We biked through all the partial loops and they all look like the full hookup sites in terms of size and maneuverability. I bet we could fit our 43ft Class A in all the sites if we had to. I guess we have a lot of practice squeezing into Maryland State Park sites.

Actually, the Tent loop sites are NOT the same size as the Full. Many of them, particularly, in 1500, are much shorter (2000 are bigger but a guest has no control). There are apps and site info with measurements out on the Interwebz that back this up. There's even threads on the DIS Camping Board that back this up.

I get it if some folks wait too long to book an appropriate site for their rig and are still looking. And keep in mind that many folks have a travel trailer AND a tow vehicle to put on a site (technically one can put the vehicle in the parking lot but that is an inconvenience). While a 43' Class A may fit, if somebody has a toad, it may not. So sweeping statements such as "they all look like the full" are misleading. Get there on a busy checkin day late in the evening and there may not be a spot that fits you (the earlier arriving guests will have moved around before you got there).

As stated above, it's possible to initially get a Partial but then they'll get moved and upcharged if there is space available.

2000 closed. The weekends tend to be filled so these folks could have been moved if they were still there on Sunday afternoon. They could have been a temporary exception rather than the rule.
