Hello-

Just booked some crazy CHEAP airline tickets to FL for Labor Day Weekend- yahoooo!

The kids want to do Seaworld/Aquatica and Legoland- so we are staying offsite and taking advantage of a very reasonable kids stay free package deal at a SeaWorld Partner Hotel.

We will be there 5 nights here is the tentative plan:

Friday- Arrive late- sleep!
Saturday- SeaWorld
Sunday- Legoland (we are renting a car)
Monday- MNSSHP?????
Tuesday- Aquatica
Wednesday- Depart mid afternoon

So- the trip was to do Legoland and SeaWorld, but we had an "open day" and I am the resident Disney fanatic who would hate to go all the way to Orlando and not visit a Park- plus I really would like to ride the Mine Train.

The most economical thing to do was do MNSSHP- it's "cheaper" than a one day ticket to the MK for the 4 of us.

That said, I have some questions about MNSSHP- we would be going on Labor Day- the first night.

Questions:
-What are lines like for the rides typically at the parties? Do MOST people go for the party/meet and greet/ trick or treat/ dance party stuff?

-What do you think about the Mine Train at MNSSHP? Think it will be open for the party? Will there be Fastpass (new) or no Fastpass for this ride that night? Hoping there will NOT be.

I know some of these questions are hard to answer b/c it's a new attraction, and we just don't REALLY know if there will still be 2+ hour wait times for it at MNSSHP, but just wondering if any sites are speculating about what it's going to be like at the hard ticket parties.

Anyone want to speculate or advise? We are going MOSTLY to ride the rides (I know they ALL are not open) and to soak up a little Halloween atmosphere, take in the parade and fireworks and dress up too, but we have one night at WDW and really will be "doing" the park and riding the rides as much as possible.

Questions:

1. What are lines like for the rides typically at the parties? Do MOST people go for the party/meet and greet/ trick or treat/ dance party stuff?

2. What do you think about the Mine Train at MNSSHP? Think it will be open for the party? Will there be Fastpass (new) or no Fastpass for this ride that night? Hoping there will NOT be.

1. Yep, most people go for the party-specific activities so wait times are minimal.

2. I would be surprised if it wasn't open for the party, but regular FP was never available for the parties, so I doubt FP+ will be either.

We will be attending our first MNSSHP the same day!
It appears MNSSHP guests can enter the park at 4, even tho the tix say 7 :goodvibes that gives you 8 hours to commando rides, lol. at 7 it should clear out considerably and if you are not interested in meeting character or trick or treating, you will have 5 hours of basically walk- ons according to previous party goers. Noe, 7DMT, HM and the mountains will have longer lines just 'cause they are so popular but certainly nothing to stress over.
Bring snacks and eat your large meal of the day just before arriving to save even more time. Cosmic Rays and Casey's Corner have been mentioned as the only 2 places to eat , and I think 1/2 of CR is closed down so unless you want trick or treat candy for food, plan accordingly! Make an ADR for a place in the park if you want but I would make it for as close to 4 as possible so you don't waste valuable party time eating. It also seems like mainstreet and the hub are crowded spots, if at Fantasyland ahead of crowds gathering you should be in even better shape. If your not too concerned with the 1st parade, ride the ride then and catch the second one. Bring ponchos so you can commando thru no matter the weather!
7DMT will close due to inclement weather, but what can you do?

We'll be there on the 1st as well. This is our first time doing the first party of the season, but we've done MNSSHP twice in the past. We are also ride people, and we've been able to do almost everything with minimal waits, especially toward the end of the night. Our new thing is to try to see the fireworks from as many different rides as we can, as we love seeing fireworks while riding rides. At DL in March, we saw the fireworks from the teacups, Matterhorn, and Autopia. At MK, we've done lots of the Magic Carpets, BTMRR AstroOrbiter, and PeopleMover. Not sure what we're going to try this time, but definitely something. We love being in less crowded areas during the fireworks and the rides are walk-on.

We will be there too!! I would try and get in as early asap. 4pm. First thing i'd do is find a fp kiosk and see if any fp are still avail up until 7 pm. You never know.

We will be there also. We have dvc points to use up. We are only doing MNSSHP, but we heard of the frozen thing at HS and are contemplating that also!!!!! We rode the 7DMT when we were there last month, and it was awesome!!!!!! We had fast passes for it but we have 2 infants so we had to do a ride swap. Which they gave us a fast pass for me and 3 other people, so I could ride with my older children as well. It was a fun ride, if you can do it I would recommend it!!!!!
