If we were to get to Beaches and Cream on a Sunday between 5 and 5:30PM, do you think we would have to wait very long for a table? We are a party of 4 and really want to have dinner there! I have to have a burger there, even if it is my only burger the entire trip, after all the reviews I read!! I am also dying to try the No Way Jose! Should we show up earlier just to be on the safe side? It would be our arrival day, but depending on where we decide to stay over the night before (driving from NYC), we may be in the car for 7 or 8 hours plus stopping before getting to WDW and checking in...that would mean settling down in the room by 5 or so (taking into account checking in and bringing luggage up to the room) if we hit the road at 7 AM (typical for our family on a long drive).

I don't want to make an ADR for dinner on our arrival night because I don't know what exact time we should make it for, and don't want to feel in a rush...would rather go somewhere they do not take ADRs, so Beaches and Cream came to mind, especially since it is so close to BWV, where we will be staying.

When are you going? Summer? If it's a crowded time, you should plan on waiting a while to be seated. We've stayed at the Beach Club in the summer months (late May, June, or August) and if you get to Beaches and Cream the minute it opens for lunch, you don't have to wait. But if you're getting there dinner-ish, you'll likely have to wait. How long depends on how many people really have to eat there. But it is literally steps away from Stormalong Bay, so lots of folks hanging out by the pool want to eat there, too, and it can get crowded. So, I'd suggest picking up some snacks in the early afternoon so you're not starving when you get there and then just hanging out and waiting to be seated. Have a great time!

We have stayed at the YC a few times (36 nights total) and the only time we had any luck just walking into B&C was around 3pm. We went once at 5pm and were told the earliest we would be seated was around 7. We went back another time at 7 and were seated around 7:45. The rest of the times we have just tried to go in the late afternoon.

We have always stayed there the last week of May/first week of June. Maybe at a slower time you would have better luck than us. We really enjoy B&C and think it is worth a moderate wait if you're not starving.

We had a 20 minute wait at 3:30 or 4:00 to get seated in the afternoon in October (this was a few years ago). We then had another 20 minute wait before the waitress took our order.

Going in the summer (July 2010)...but not around July 4th, it will be closer to the end of July.

Would we be better off at ESPN Club? Or Big River Grille? We are staying at BWV so all of those would be very close. Really wanted to try Beaches and Cream though...maybe we will go there a different day instead, for lunch, when we are just hanging out at the resort. Or maybe we will just go there for ice cream one afternoon. Only thing is, I hear the burgers are so good there. Are they still good at ESPN or Big River?

Actually I prefer the burgers over at Espn. There is also a great place at the Dolphin resort called ,The Fountain...really good burgers there too.

Oh wow, I didn't even consider heading over to the Dolphin...it's so close! Will have to check that out, thanks!!

I didn't think the burgers were anything special - the buns the burgers are on are good, but the burger itself was unremarkable.

We are also a family of 4 and we have never just walked into Beaches and Cream. Our minimum wait has always been about 20 minutes or so and we have even tried going off hours. Be aware that it is a very small restaurant, especially for parties of more than 3. 1 or 2 people have the option of eating at the counter but for larger parties there are only a few booths and a few small tables available.

I would plan on a minimum of a half an hour wait especially given the time you plan on dining.

We miss the to-go menu. They still have one but there is not much on it anymore. We always used to get the banana split to go so we wouldn't have to wait so long. We could sit outside and enjoy it just as much. Now the only way to get it is to go in. We still do that because it is the best banana split we've ever had. Does anyone know why they took so much off the to-go menu?
